Best of primer – concealer – foundation – an unbeatable trio….

….

Hi guys,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

today´s post is long overdue but I had to try out everything first cause I am never showing stuff I didn´t try before.

I am showing you my favorite make-up products for a fresh and even look on your face. These are my absolute favorites so I am always rotating around these ones. It is all about foundation, primer, concealer and highlighter today.

So let´get this started….

prep and prime

Preparation is everything for a succesful base. I am currently using the L´oréal Hydra Genius face lotion. I don´t need a thick and heavy face lotion for summer to stay hydrated so this is perfect.

After that I am applying this primer called matte face base from Kiko Milano to my face. This is the best primer I have ever tried. It has a super thick consistency when you apply it but that goes away pretty quick and your make-up is staying and important for me it is staying matte. And it smells so good.

Another one I have tried is the Infailable Primer from L´oréal Paris. It is in the same price range. It is not as thick as the Kiko one and the smell isn´t as good but it is alright and it leaves a smooth feel on your skin.

cover and hide

Next step is to apply my concealer – I know it is highly discussed if you need to apply it first or after make-up, I apply it before but you can do whatever is right for you – the L´oréal Infailable Total Cover palette. It has multiple shades also a green one to erase blemishes. The coverage is pretty good. I can use the first two shade for winter and summer. It goes on pretty smooth.

I am also using the Full Coverage Concealer from Kiko. It has kind of a hard consistency so I am using this mostly for under my eyes or for spots I need to cover.

My foundation is currently from Dior. It is the Diorskin Forever foundation in color 030. It is a little pricey but in my opinion it is worth every cent. It has a shine control which I appreciate very much and it also has SPF which is pretty important since I don´t have SPF in my face lotion. The foundation sets in very nice and it is buildable without having a mask effect.

I also love the Vichy Dermablend foundation so much. I am using the color 25 Nude. The foundation leaves a total matte effect and it lasts pretty long. It is teint correcting which I like very much and you can cove almost everything you want to hide.

I have also been using the HD Liquid Coverage Foundation from Catrice as a back up. It is a low price drug store foundation but in my opinion it is pretty good.

For summer month or when I am on vacation I am only using a BB creme. Mine is the Garnier Miracle Skin BB Creme in the light shade. I had one from Manhattan earlier but I didn´t not like it at all.

To get everything set I am using the 2in1 Perfect Teint Powder from Manhattan in Sunbeige at the moment and in Beige in the winter months. I have been using the like forever and I still like it. It has more coverage than a normal powder cause of the 2in1 which I really need. And it also has a mattifying effect.

define and shine

My favorite blushes are the Maybelline Rouge and Highlighter Palette and the essence Mosaic blush and one of my absolute favorite palette is from Kiko Milano (it smells like white chocolate and also looks like this).

Two of the highlighters I am using are from Catrice. The Catrice Eyeshadow Highlighter Pen and the Catrice Glow Highlighter Powder. Both of them are very pigmented so you better use them with caution unless you want to be very sparkly and shimmery.

I also use the face pearls from AVON in the pearly pink shade. This is a mixture between a blush and a highlighter. I really love this one cause you get the perfect mix when you are applying it.

The third highlighter I am using is the NYX born to glow Illuminator. It is kind of a paste and I first had to get used to it. But now I really like it. I am mostly using it for my eyes.

set and go
I am always switching between the Kiko Milano setting spray (the smell is so good) and the nyx Matte finish setting spray . They are both pretty equal.

These are my top make up products I am using over and over again.

Do you have any staple procuts you love ?

Thanks for stopping by.

Take care. See you.

Casual Saturday #11….

mug nanu nana / candle Yankee Candle macaron treats / plate IKEA / pineapple small and big nanu nana

….

Happy Saturday dolls,
(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)
wow this was a full week of to-do´s. I had my ususal line dance class on Monday and I had to help my dad at his company on two evenings.
I also signed in for our local fitness studio since I decided that I have to loose some weight (you might have seen from last weeks Saturday post that we are eating low carb now). So let´s sum it up.

Food:
We cooked a lot this week but I didn´t take much pictures. In fact I really forgot to take some at all. I am really sorry.

I made this incredible cauliflower pizza which tasted amazing. I was really sceptical at the beginning cause I thought this might not work at all but it turned out great.

Another thing I tried out where these Sriracha meatballs and they where awesome. I love the Flying Goose Brand sauces. They taste so good. I got the normal spicy and the garlic spicy on amazon.

And of course I made some sweets for the weekend – wait for it – peanut butter cookies. YES !!

Shopping:
You might think I am going crazy but I have a bunch of pullovers this week. The prices are really low right now cause know one even thinks of fall. Navy from Zign, black Bik Bok from and pink from New Look

I also put this pair of boots in this beautiful hazelnut color from Zign on my wishlist but they really gottta wait.
I am just feeling like summer is almost over for this year since we went on our summer vacation so early.

Another thing I have found is this BEAUTIFUL Tommy Hilfiger shopper. It would have been the perfect accessory for 4th of July with all the stars and the red, blue and white. It is a reversable tote so you can put the inside out and you have a navy shopper. Such a cute and versatile piece. And it also has a little bag chain with a tassel and a purse for your coins.

I also got this black pair of sandals from Miss Selfridge with some butterflies on the straps. This really is a dreamy and whimsical pair of shoes.

There hadn´t been more fashion related pieces this week but I started on finishing my office so I can finally shoot it for you and I also found some vases and a golden tray for my dressing room (but this is still gonna take a while).

I got this golden plant pots. It has this old vintage style which I love so much. There are three sizes and they are perfect for the floor or for the windowsill.

TV:
Since we had so much to do there wasn´t that much we where watching. We saw the Bachelorette on Wednesday and I watched a movie called Seventh Son on Thursday and boy this was cool. It was a mixture of Harry Potter and Game of Thrones. Magical creatures, knights and much more.

So now we are heading out to get some new plants for our patio and my office.

Have a nice weekend and thanks for stopping by .

Take care. See you.

….

Hi dolls,

I had been so excited all along to show this travel recap with you. There where a few months between this vacation and our last trip to London and for me it seemed just like an endless time of waiting and of course time flew by during our stay, cause that´s how it is when you are enjoying your time so much.

This time we went on a (real) roadtrip. Normally I do not like this kind of vacations (went to brazil and had been on an roadtrip for almost three weeks – and don´t get me wrong it was beautiful but just so exhausting driving long distances until you get to a hotel where there might not even be a free room. So this time I planned upfront and booked our hotels early because we took Chloé with us and so we needed a dog-friendly hotel and we stayed a few days at every city we where stopping so I did not want to change accomodations inbetween this time.

Yes we took Chloé and I had been so happy about this decision. I am always sad when I have to leave her at my parents house and it makes me even sader seeing other people on vacation who took their dogs with them.
She had been really patiently during the drive and all the waiting and she really enjoyed the nature and we where there 24/7 so this had not been a problem at all.

So for our first three days we stayed in Bressanone (Brixen). This is a really small city (on some times there was no one on the streets) but also one of the biggest of south-tyrol so you can see this is a small part between Austria and Italy but it belongs to Italy.

After arriving at our hotel (the Löwenhof Hotel) and checking-in in the afternoon we first had coffee and a panini. Afterwards we went to the room and took a nap before heading to the pool.
For dinner we went down in the city. We ate at a restaurant called “Torre Biance” which means white tower – one of the sights in Bressanone.

On our second day we decided to go a little outside the city by driving to a mountain called Plose. We took the cable railway to get to the top. Chloe wasn´t amused by the way. After we arrived it was pretty foggy but it cleared up really soon. We went on the trail to take a long walk with Chloe but turned back very soon as she was followed by a big free running cow. So we went to the mountain restaurant, had some coffee and enjoyed the view before taking the cable railway to get back to the car.
After exploring some nature we went to the city centre to get some ice cream and to take a look at the shops. They didn´t have many since the city is little but I found a really cool italian store called Tezenis. The sell underwear and bathing suits and I found this super cute pineapple swimsuit and a ruffle bikini.
We went back to our hotel to lay at the pool and had some delicious mexican food at “Bufalo Cantina´s” for dinner.

The third day was filled with adventure. We drove to Sterzing, a small place nearby and went up the “Gilfenklamm” a ravine which has so many clear waterfalls and beautiful nature. Chloe was really into it. She loved hopping her way up to the top. Arriving at the top we first had lunch at a restaurant. We ordered some typical food for the area and didn´t get disappointed. In my opinion we didn´t eat better the whole week than in this place. We had “Schlutzkrapfen” – a spinach filled kind of pasta which butter and parmesan cheese and “Nocketrio” – three different dumplings filled with mushrooms, spinach, cheese and a cole slaw with bacon topped with butter and cheese. So many calories but so delicious. On our way down and back to the car it started raining cats and dogs and we where soaking wet after a short time so the only thing we did for this day was taking a long and hot shower and eat dinner at the hotel´s restaurant.

So in fact we did a lot during our first three days.

What do you think ?

Thanks for stopping by.

Take care. See you.

My monthly beauty favorites for May and June tested by myself….

…..

Hi guys,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affilate Links-not sponsored)
I haven´t done a monthly favorites since April so today I am suming up both months for a big beauty favorites post with all the products I had tried in the last two months.

In fact I thought it would have got more items but these are all.

Maybelline color drama lip contour palette
This is something I was really curious for cause I love love love lipsticks and lipproducts. So when I first saw it (there are two different palettes available) and read that you could create an ombre lip styles I was head over heels.
This products doesn´t disappoint. You can create some really cool lip styles with this.

L´oréal Hydra Genius Aloe Water face lotion
#drinkforyourskin
This has become my staple face lotion for summer. It really is a must for me. My skin feels hydrated and stays hydrated so I don´t have any dry areas anymore. After applying I don´t have a sticky feeling on my skin so I can apply my make-up right after. It is available for three different skin types. I am using the one for oily and mixed skin.

Maybelline Master Blush Kit
This is something I personally would love to get for a vacation. A palette with a few different shades of blush so I am fitted for a few days away without taking my whole make-up with me. I got this cause it has a highligher color in the kit which is matching perfectly with all the other shades in the kit.

Manhattan lipstick
Manhattan has released their summer colors and I am in love with this shade. It is called spicy red and it is kind of an orang redish tone. Perfect for summer in my opinion cause I am wearing a classic red shade all the year round.

L´oréal Paris double extension mascara
Since I am not wearing fake eyelashes every day anymore I am searching for a way to get longer lashes in a short time so I decided to try out this mascara. It has two sides – a white paste with a brush to extend your lashes. After letting the white paste dry you can apply a second layer or you brush it with the black side of the mascara. I like using it but it takes a while to dry but it is effective.

L´oréal Paris line refine expression kajal
Usually I am not using a kajal pen but I gave this one a try and I am not quite sure til today. It has a really soft tip but the black is not as black as I would like it and I am not as comfortable using it as a thought cause it smudges but that might be cause my eyes tear sometimes.

L´oréal Paris La Nude eyeshadow palette
I purchases this one for traveling cause usually I am using the Coastal Scents 88 Warm Palette but I didn´t want to take such a big one with me when I am only using the same 5 shades I am always using so I got this small one and it is perfect. Not only that it has all the colors you need, the colors have a great pigmentation too. I don´t like the brush which is included but you can switch this one easily.

NoOps kit
I have found this one through conincidence. I just was looking for a super cute beauty bag and that is why I got this. When it arrived and I unpacked it is was so small but after opening it I was impressed. There is so much stuff in it. It is like an beauty SOS kit. It includes a scrunchy, 4 hairpins, a nailfile, blotting paper, tooth picks, a top coat, refreshment sheets, make-up remover wipes, lip balm and a sewing set. It is incredible how full it is packed. You really need this to be prepared.

Thanks for stopping by.

Take care. See you.
