My top 8 summer beauty must haves….

….

Happy (finally) Friday guys,

if you had the view I am having today you would also think that this post is a little ironic (at least for today). It is raining cats and dogs and it only has 12 degrees so there is nothing about summer and hot days in the middle of August today.

But since we are still in the middle of summer (at least on the calendar) I am sharing my top 8 beauty prodcuts with you today.

Beauty products are differing from season to season as the climate and the temperatures change, so your skin and your body has different needs. I have rounded up all items I am currently using.

1. EOS – lipbalm with spf – grapefruit
I have been loving those little round lip balms since I saw them the first time in the US back in 2010. Ever since I have been using them all the time. You will always find one in my bathroom, at my night stand or in my handbag. They have new scents for their summer editions every year and I really like that they include SPF.

2. 4711 – fragranced towelettes
This is one of my favorite scents for summer. It is such a fresh and light scent. This one is an all time classic and my mom used it when she was a teenager so this brand existst for a really long time now. They also have new summer editions for their perfumes every year. This year I got the towelettes. A package contains 16 pieces and I am using them on the go for a perfume touch up or just for a quick refreshment.

3. Treaclemoon – shower gel these lemonade days
Especially in summer I love the light and fruity shower

4. Yves Rocher – shower gel grapefruit from Florida

5. Escada – perfume “Fiesta Carioca”
The first perfume I have ever owned was from Escada. It was called “Island Kiss” and I loved it. Sadly it was only for one season but they brought it out again a few years later so I stocked up on this but I am also testing the new one every year and I think they smell pretty similar which make them almost all a pretty hit.

6. Yves Rocher –  Monoi de Tahiti –  shimmering body oil
I would call this my staple body oil for. I have been using and purchasing this for the 3rd year now and I still love it. Especially for vacation. It just has the right amount of glow and sparkle for tan skin. And the smell is oh so good.

7. Manhattan – pink lipstick color – fun fuchsia
You at least have to have one neon lipstick for summer whether it is a bold pink or orange or a vibrant red tone.

8. Korres –  red vine sun protection spray for hair
I had been searching through a lot of local drug store for a sun protection spray for my hair but I was really disapointed that I only found one and the smell was just disgusting. So I went online and got this spray from Korres. You can use it right after washing your hair but also when it is dry. It is developed in Greece so it might be perfect for Germany cause we don´t have as much sun as they do over there. Haven´t used it only a few times since I got it so I might do a full review in my next favorites.
(this product isn´t in the picutres cause it arrived a few days after shooting)

Yankee Candle – summer peach

As I am a candle hoarder and looking for new scents every season it is no surprise that I had to try out this summer scent. And peaches are one of the less fruit I really like.

How I styled a blue and white gingham midi skirt for summer from SheIn….

shirt Pieces / bag New Look sold out similar here and here / wedges old similar here and here / sunnies old similar here and here / disc necklace Pieces /
 #ginghamprint
….
Hi guys,
since gingham is one of my favorite prints and one of the IT prints for summer I just can´t get enough of it (also got a few gingham pieces for fall already). I got this beautiful summer midi skirt from SheIn a few weeks ago and already wore it twice. The print and the length got me immiately and when I read that it had pockets I was completely sold.

I paired it with a white shirt cause I wanted to have the focus on this beautiful and bold blue color the skirt is in. A few accessories in a hip and trendy cognac brown shade (this color goes with everything) and a pair of matching sunglasses and we headed out for some lunch.

Do you have any plans for the weekend ? We started to think about what to do this week since there are no apointments. I definitely want to shoot 2 or 3 fall looks on Saturday (all the fall items I picked got in and there are definitely some I am keeping) and after renouncing carbs for so many weeks now I definitely want to grab a burger this weekend.
As always thanks for stopping by.
Take care. See you.

How to style a colorful striped mini skirt (on sale!) in 2 ways for summer….

1rst look) skirt H&M on sale / t-shirt H&M basic / bag Mario Valentino Rita in nudo / sandals Anna Field / sunnies H&M
2nd look) skirt H&M on sale / ruffle top H&M old similar here and here / sandals Buffalo Girl sold out similar here and here / bag old similar here and here / sunnies amisu sold out similar here and here
….
Hi guys,
by now you might know me and that I wouldn´t say no to any piece this colorful. Colors make me happy and this really is such a fun kind of mexican inspired mini skirt I found from the sale section at H&M.
So in fact styling this one was a little tricky for me (it wouldn´t have been at all cause you can work so well with all the different colors the skirt gives you but you know, I had about ten different ideas and got a little overwhelmed by with which color to go). So I went with a blush basic t-shirt for the first look. I wanted to have the shirt casual cause I added a pair of blush block sandals with metalic details and a big quilted flap bag from Mario Valentino I recently got from amazon. I was searching everywhere for this style (and would have take every available color) cause it is a little older and is sold out everywhere. But amazon has it all right!!!
This look would perfectly work for a date night or a dinner party or even a BBQ in a garden cause the block heel is perfect for standing on grass.

The second look I created around the skirt is really casual. You could easily wear this for lunch or brunch or for shopping.
The ruffle top adds a girly and playful flare to the whole outfit as well as the pom pom flats from Bufallo Girl. The little bag and the blue pair of sunglases really rounded up the look.
Which one do you like better? I really would like to know…
Thanks for stopping by.
Take care. See you.

Zaful midi pineapple skirt – my flattering alternative for a late summer date night….

cardigan H&M old similar here and here / t-shirt amisu old similar here and here / wedges really old similar here and here / bag Laura Scott sold out similar here, here, here and here
….

Hi guys,

don´t you also think that this pineapple print midi skirt would make a perfect one for date night?! With its perfect length where you can easily wear heels or a pair of flats – depends on what you feel more comfortable about. It creates a flattering silhouette cause it isn´t as tight as a pencil skirt or a bodycon dress. The pineapple pattern is so playful plus you can combine a lot of different shirts with it too.

It is only available in one size so be sure to check the size guide first. The skirt has a black lining but since the print is so bold this doesn´t bother at all cause you can´t see through.  I paired it with a t-shirt with waterfall detailing at the collar and in the front in a matching green shade (skirt is also available in a gorgeous baby pink color and black). For fall or a chilly evening take a cardigan with you and you are good to go.

I got this piece from Zaful a huge online retailer with so many different items. Be sure to queck out the rest of their midi skirts. Also love this pleated one with the flower pattern.

Zaful offers worldwide free shipping and you also get a 10% off on swimwear and marked down deals. So make sure to head over as theses deals are limited.

We are finally back on our date night schedule so I might gonna wear this whole outfit again since temperatures dropped from 35° to 17°. Summer can´t be over by now, right?!

What are your plans for the week?

Thanks for stopping by.

Take care. See you.

A big thanks to Zaful for sponsoring today´s post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
