in pure joy for our next vacation next week – less than 5 days away – I am sharing my top products to store my beauty products while traveling.
Since this is always a big issue for me cause I don´t want anything to be broken or spilled I have found some great products over the years which help a lot.
I am by no means a travel expert but these are my tried and true favorites
sponge case Real Techniques I discovered this by accident a few weeks ago and even I know it is not new invented I really think its pretty cool. If you are using another type of make-up sponge amazon offers a one size fits all in several colors. It is from Blenderelle and you can buy it here. Also really great idea.
brush case Jenny Patinkin This case is like a safe for your brushes. It is pretty hard and you can incorporate it into your luggage wherever you want. It won´t open or break during your travel. There is lots of space so you can easily store about 6 to 10 make-up bruhes. Depends on which ones you are taking. The only downside is that a big fan brush for highlighting won´t fit. It opens and closes easily with snaps. There are also other colors available but I had to stay true to myself and take the pink one.
vanity case River Island This is by far my favorite vanity case I have ever gotten. I love the color pairing. Has such Japanese vibes. I love that it has two compartments and I love the price. I can put all of my make-up products and face products into it and also my jewelry and there is still space. This piece is a real miracle and I would buy this over and over again. Totally recommend it. My design is sold out but it is currently available in a beautiful gold print and also in white. I also got a silver vanity case. It is from a local drug store but I am sure they are available in every bigger drug store. I am using this little case for all of my „wet“ products like shower gel, shampoo, body lotions and heat sprays. In case something is leaking it stays in the case and won´t spill over all my clothes. I wouldn´t recommend it for flying unless you are taking it as a carry-on piece. The outer shell isn´t thick enough for surviving the throwing around and the weight of other luggage pieces.
The little black LED mirror is my travel mirror I recently got. I love the lighting as it is really bright (LED) and you can see every flaw in your face. Hotel bathroom lighting differs from place to place and let me tell most of them is awful. Whether it is too glare, almost blue and you look sick from every angle or it is too orangy or too dark, probably is romantic but bad for putting on make-up. I love that is stands by itself so I have to free hands.
Now I really gotta go and get some work done and also finish packing. View my other travel post here. It is all about the travel gadgets I love using.
Thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.

since we didn´t spend our summer vacation at Lake Garda last year I have been pretty excited that we are going in less than a week this year.
For this reason and many more I have rounded up all the beautiful pieces I got for the amazing scenery of our favorite vacation destination.
First of all I am a skirts girl through and through so I will always prefer a skirt or a dress over a pair of pants. I have gotten some skirts which I would say are my signature skirt and I also got one combination which was a little out of my comfort zone but I ended up liking it a lot.
I got this Pull & Bear striped and buttoned down mid skirt with the matching top, a crop top. I always loved the combination of a high-waisted skirt and a crop top but I never dared to wear it. My first thought has been – always – people can see the fat on my back and it would also uncover some weird spots on my body but after trying it on and showing it to Florian we decided we love it.
Dresses are also high in my vacation choice. They are easy to put on and you always look great in an off-shoulder dress on your vacation. With taned shoulders, statement earrings and a messy bun. I got this dreamy off-shoulder buttoned through dress with ruffle sleeves in a gorgeous reed color from Asos. Paired with a basket bag and a pair of nude wedges this will look awesome. I also had my eyes on the same version with a yellow gingham print but one is enough – at least for now.
Another dress I ordered and wasn´t sure about it first is this rainbow striped off-shoulder sundress from Asos. I really loved it on the model and then wasn´t sure about it as it got in but the more I tried it on the more I liked it so I kept it. I don´t mind it looking like a circus tent. It reminds me of it somehow but no one else sees it that way. Combined with a nice shopper bag and a pair of flats – wanted to wear it with wedges but in my opinion the dress is too short for high shoes – this is a really great and effortless summer look.
Another look I packed was a pair of shorts and a matching off-the-shoulder top from H&M. The only reason I packed this was because we wanted to go by bike on one day as I am mostly wearing midi dresses I don´t want one to get ruined by hanging in the bicycle chain. The shorts are linen and old but I still love them. The white color matches with everything and the highwaist is great for going by bike. No one wants to uncover his butt. I paired it with a airy and thin top in red. Might be better if people see me from far away. Not the best biker over here.
Another item I loved packing are culottes. In fact I adore this type of pants a lot. They are easy, versatile, trendy and so comfortable. I packed one in a vibrant and yellow color and another on in black with a mixture between cheetah print and polka dots. Going to get so much use out of them while summer.
Since I am only owning one romper I figured it would be a nice change to wear a jumpsuit out for dinner. I got mine from SheIn and I was so surprised as it came in. It has a nice quality and is super soft. Also it fits perfectly. It is the floral print jumpsuit and for 18 Euro it is a nice change for a dress.

Let´s move on to swimmwear. I needed lots of swimmwear. We usually don´t go to a lake or river to bath in the summer so if we aren´t on a pool/beach vacation (last one is two years ago) I really have no interest in buying swimmwear since I don´t need it. This year is different. I got several high-waisted bikinis and also bathing suits with matching pareos.
First of all I got the frill polka dot set from South Beacht – polka dots, red and ruffles.Period.
You can buy them separately but I never get single pieces. Top and bottoms. Next set is from SheIn. White, ruffles and flowers.
A black bathing suit is a must in my opinion. Shop mine here. It is from H&M. They have so many different ones it is hard to decide.
Second bathing suit is from SheIn. I got mine in a gorgeous bourdeaux color. Makes the crochet trim pop right out. Am I right?
Other additions to my beach wardrobe are sun hats. Got a simlar one to mine here which says „Chase the sun“ and I also bought a new beach tote with the same slogan in rose gold. Love it. I ordered it from Asos but the brand is called South Beach and I love their cool items and also their reasonable prices.
!function(doc,s,id){ var e, p, cb; if(!doc.getElementById(id)) { e = doc.createElement(s); e.id = id; cb = new Date().getTime().toString(); p = ‚//shopsensewidget.shopstyle.com/widget-script.js?cb=1528869906350?cb=‘ + cb; e.src = p; doc.body.appendChild(e); } if(typeof window.ss_shopsense === ‚object‘){ if(doc.readyState === ‚complete‘){ window.ss_shopsense.init(); } } }(document, ’script‘, ’shopsensewidget-script‘);
Phew – that was a long one but I am just so excited for our trip. Hopefully the weather will be good.
Thanks for stopping by guys. Take care. See you tomorrow for another #travelthursday post.

Mosiso notebook case amazon / Belin MixIt metallic AUX cable amazon / Poweradd pilot powerbank amazon / passport Holder Sass & Belle amazon / nylon micro USB charge cable amazon / jewelry case amazon / similar travel case for paperworks amazon /
I am finally packing for Italy. It´s like I have been waiting for this vacation like forever. With all the wedding planning and work besides I am really needing some days at the pool. Eating pasta, drinking wine and enjoying the sun. Hopefully I am able to read a book or two I packed.
I am always on the hunt for smart travel gadgets (and of course cute ones) so by the time we book a vacation I start on researching what other bloggers got and also what for example amazon recommends.
So I am back for packing this year with the Suit Suit Caretta in color Pink Lady in size 75 cm (not picutred). And the matching packing cube set in pink dust cause I really hate when panties, socks or my bikinis flying around in the suitcase. The middle one would also be perfect for storing your belts.
Let´s move on to antoher really cute thing I got. A passport case from Sass & Belle in a vintage map print. In fact I wouldn´t need my passport for this trip cause we are travelling inside the EU and my ID card would be enough but let´s be honest – how cute is this. I got mine from amazon but Asos also carries it.
I always put my jewelry in a different and safe case cause I hate when all the pieces get lost or tangle up. A few weeks ago I found this adorable golden (seems like I have a thing for gold here) jewelry case for on the go. It seems kind of small but it works for me. It is from Songmics. They sell various stuff on amazon and I really like their brand. So far I have gotten an earring rack, a clothes rail a also a small bench which acts like a side table. They have the best acrylic containers for jewelry and make-up and so much more. Totally recommend their stuff.
Tech pieces can be really tricky for me cause I want them to look cute but that doesn´t always mean that they are functional or great quality but I think I did pretty well this time.
The orange travel case is from London. I have seen it at a little store down at the uber. In my opinion it is very practical when you have a case where you can store all of your paperwork like hotel reservations, receipts or tax forms. Most of the stuff is saved on our phones but I really prefer having a piece of paper in my hand. Since I don´t know where I got it I have listed a similar option.
Belkin MixIt metallic AUX cable We are going by car and we have been to Italy a few times before. Since you are passing two countries and so many regions you have to switch your radio stations a few times and that is so annyoing. This is the reason why we got an AUX cable this time. Now we are able to listen to our Spotify playlists and sing along. Poweradd Pilot powerbank in color gold
This probably is self explanatory. I can´t change my phone in the car cause I would need another adapter so I got a matching powerbank to keep my phone fully loaded. Also great if you are taking day trips. nylon micor USB charge cable 2 pieces in the set in color gold I was tired of the plastic cords breaking so I got nylon cables. They are also 2 metres long so can plug them in easily and don´t have to worry about stepping on your phone while it charges on the floor.
Mosiso notebook case in color blush When we are just a few days away I am usually not taking my notebook whith me cause I can easily plan posts upfront and don´t have a problem. But this time we are staying a complete week and I want to post looks from Lake Garda as new as possible.
Phew this was a long post but at least I have covered all my important travel stuff. There is going to be a second post how I pack my beauty products next week. Be sure to check back.

Hi guys,
let´s move on with the travel guide for Vienna. You can read the first part here.
Day 2
On Monday our second day – and also my birthday – we went to see the Prater straight after breakfast. The Prater is like a small amusement park area with rollercoasters, candy stores and also a big ferris wheel with wooden cabins. It is famous for its old wooden cabins which makes it the real sight of the Prater. I wanted to take a ride on it but unfortunately it was closed for maintenance.
The Prater also had a Madame Tussauds but since we where at the London exhibition we didn´t want to spend so much time in there (altough they probably would have had Sissi).
After our pretty short stay at the Prater we took the Underground and went straigth to the Kärntnerstreet – one of the biggest shopping streets in Vienna. The buildings are all really old and beautiful so they had some shops like Douglas and also H&M in the most beautiful builidings I have ever seen. I got some lip products from MAC I wanted and also some pieces from the H&M store cause it was pretty cold and we didn´t bring any scarves, gloves or beanies with us.
Dressed like for a Canadian Winter we took the Underground and went a little outside of the old town to visit the Hundertwasserhaus and museum. Friedensreich Hundertwasser was an Austrian architect and artist. He designed several buildings all over the world with his signature style including lots of colors and crooked floors and walls. Also his paintings are very famous.
Afterwards we went to the Sacher café to enjoy some of the traditional Sacher cake as my birthday cake. The location was beautiful and so traditional with old coffee grinders, red velvet sofas and seats and marble tables. The staff is really nice and attentive so there are no long waiting times. They also serve other delicious cakes and sweets but we sticked to a classic chocolate cake with cream.
On another note – Austria has its own drug store chain called Bippa. They do have their own make-up bruh line and I really love them. They are really affordable and in a good quality and also they are white and pink so there is nothing wrong about that. But they sell out fast so you might have to check different stores.
After our afternoon coffee we went to the opera of Vienna to take some photos of the beautfiul building but you can´t go in without a ticket at all.
So since it started snowing/raining afterwards and got really cold and uncomfortable we decided to go back to the hotel and to get ready for the evening.
We reserved a table at the Addicted to Rock restaurant. Every city we visit there is always one day we eat burgers for dinner and which day would be a better cheat day than my birthday. The restaurant had a great atmosphere and a very modern touch. With a big bar as the centerpiece of the room with metall walls and bulbs on ropes hanging low. With wooden boxes as tables and brown armchairs and sofas. I have to admit although I liked it very much it is hard to eat properly by sitting so low and soft on a sofa.
Day 3
This was our last real day so we took a final stroll through the old town to have a last look at the tiny alleyways and the cute old shops.
After that we took another ride on the Underground and went to the Schönbrunn castle. This is the castle where the imperial family including Franz and Sissi spent most of their time. The area really is huge so after walking around we went inside the castle and took the tour through the castle.
To get a better impression of how big the city really is we decided to go on a hop-on-hop-off tour which was really great. The city is huge and has some really nice spots and some which you shouldn´t set a foot into. We had a closer look at the main train station which is super modern all made of glass and huge. There are so many shops in there it could be a shopping center too.
There is lots of building going on in Vienna. Huge appartment and office complex are stamped out of the ground. Highly architectural and super modern. Everything built of concrete and/or glass.
After riding around in the bus for over an hour we got of and took a ride back to our hotel cause we had to get ready for the musical. We watched The Dance of the Vampires. It was awesome. The music, the singers, the costumes and the scenery. It took place at the Ronacher theatre which was a total match. A old building with marble floors, high and wide doors, beautiful wooden staircases and soft red armchairs. They offered a special service for the break between two sets to set up champagne for you cause the break is only about 15 minutes and you wouldn´t get ready in time by standing in line.
The musical took about 2 1/2 hour but it was totally worth it. It wasn´t boring a minute.
We decided to go back to the hotel once the musical was over cause we still needed to pack and we wanted to leave as early as possible the next day cause the weather was about to be really bad.
Overall it was a really nice getaway. 4 days or 3 full days are enough if you aren´t as museum interested as other people might be (cause museums take a lot of time).
If your birthday isn´t in January you should go there a few months later in Spring I think it would be really pretty since there are so many parks.
Wow this was one heck of a long post but I wanted to tell you as much as possible since anyone is interested. You can also mail me directly if there is anything else you want to knwo.
As always thanks for stopping by. Take care. see you.
