Hi guys,

today I am sharing all the information of our quick and easy getaway. After not having a real summer vacation as we where on our trip in June already we decided to get away for two days somewhere nearby. So we picked Munich.

Munich is a huge city and so multiculturel. We started at the Olympic park which is located at the outer edge of the city and it is really nice. It is a incredible big park with a lake in the middle where you can do stand-up paddling, wakeboarding or rent a pedal boat. Around the lake are several buildings like a stadium for concerts and soccer games, a ice-rink and the Olympic tower. We decided to go up the tower to get a 360 degrees view of the city. And boy the view was amazing. As it was a bright and beautiful day we had such a perfect view in every direction. There is also a restaurant located on the tower so you can dine with forsesight :). The Olympic parc was built for the 1972 olympic summer games. Since then it is a place for recreation and tourists from other countries.

After walking through the park – there also a summer festival as we went with different food trucks and a small market with lots of stuff to buy – we went to the English Garden to have a look at the Chinese Tower.

The Chinese Tower is a 25 metres high tower completely made of wood. The tower was built in 1790 as a viewing plattform. It has been destroyed and rebuilt after the second world war and now isn´t open to public anymore.

From all the strolling around in the parks we got a little hungry and went into the city centre to get some coffee and a snack. Of course our coffee stop was Starbucks (just can´t help it, we don´t have one in Regensburg so I am stopping at each and everyone I can find). I had a coffee americano and the best cinamon roll I have ever had. And I got this coffe to-go mug I love so much. With lipsticks marks and hugs and kisses.

After our refreshment we took a look at all the sights in the city. We stopped at the town hall on the Marienplatz for the famous bell ringing happening every full hour.

Then we went up to the Stachus a famous place at the end of the pedestrian zone with fountains and restaurants and places to sit and watch people.

For dinner I had planed to go to the traditional Hofbräuhaus in Munich be we tended to go across the street into the Hard Rock Café Munich and that was a great decision. We had pulled pork burger and mac and cheese.

After dinner we finally went to the hotel. We stayed at the Leonardo Hotel Munich City West for the night. This is a design hotel chain and you can find one in at least every city of Europe.

The room was pretty big and we had a small terrace which belonged to our room. There was also a small kitchen aisle hidden befind a wood wall. I can´t say anything about the breakfast cause we just grabbed a quick coffee and then checked out and went to the Chiemsee.

The Chiemsee is a lake nearby Munich (about an hour away). It is a pretty huge lake with a big castle in the middle.

We rented an electric boat and drove arround on the lake for about and hour. We popped some champagne and ate some ice cream chocolate. It was really pretty and the weather was just fine for this occasion.

Before finally heading home to Chloe we had pizza and a diet coke at a lake restaurant.

This really was a nice short trip and a great opportunity to get away for some time.

I think we might do this some more times throughout the year.

Thanks for stopping by.

Take care. See you.

Travelling with a dog – sharing my top products….

….

Hi guys,

about five weeks ago we got back from our south tirol trip and you may have noticed that we took
Chloe with us this time. Usually she stays at my parents’ house when we are
gone for a few days but we always miss her so much so this time she was with
us. And I have to admit that there can´t be so many more things for travelling
with a baby than with a dog. She almost had a bigger bag than me.

We informed
us about dog friendly places upfront (hotels and restaurants) cause you can´t
take your dog everywhere with you but since she can´t stay alone in the hotel
room she had to be with us the whole time.
So here is
a list of all the things we took with us including Chloe

 – Car box
with a soft blanket inside (she loves to ride by car – she falls asleep the
minute after we start the engine)
– sleep
cushion
– feeding
cups
– water cup
for on-the-go (this is pretty cool)
 – water for
the car ride (we usually drink water with gas so I made sure to have a bottle
for Chloe without)
– blanket
– towels – we
went to lakes to get her refreshed
– different leashes
– I took a short one and a longer one with us (didn´t want to take her of the
leash as she doesn´t know the surroundings)
Food – I got
these small bowls for her. They are packed for one meal each so I can throw
them away and don´t have a big opened can in the hotel refrigerator

Feel free to ask me any other questions if there is something I forgot.

Thanks for stopping by.

Take care. See you.

5 things to do at home when you are not going on vacation….

top bonprix / shorts amisu old similar here and here / flats old similar here and here / sunhat asos / straw shopper amazon / glass similar nanu nana  / sunnies H&M

…..

Hi guys,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)
usually most people are on vacation during the summer months. Flying to culturel places or laying down by the sea but this is not granted or always possible. Many people can´t go on vacation maybe they won´t get this much time off or there isn´t enough money left for a trip.
So today I am sharing my 5 tips on getting as much summer feeling as possible without laying by the sea at Cabo San Lucas.

1. Wear your summer clothes wherever you go – whether it is to the grocery store, the city or to any kind of appointment. It gives you a different feel when you are wearing a flattering and airy and bright colored summerdress.

2. Get a deckchair and a palmtree for your patio or your balcony and go outside as much as possible. Laying in there with a drink and a straw hat in the sun completely changes your mood.

3. Decorate your home for summer. There are so many cute options with palm prints or flamingo prints. You can read my post about it here

4. Choose your summer drink. There are new creations every year and at the end of trying there is always one which tastes best. I made this rosé wine with russian wild berry lemonade and raspberries my winner. It is an old recipe from Monika Hibbs´s blog. I just love her creations.

5. Get some cute summer pieces for your wardrobe. I recently ordered this straw hat which says „chasing the sun….“ from ASOS and this palm print bikini from SheIn. These are perfect pieces for you Summer atmosphere and really affordable.

Hope there is something which let´s you forget about the fact that you are at home in your vacation even it is just for a while.

Thanks for stopping by.

Take care. See you.

Best of our trip to south-tyrol – Meran….

^our hotel – Hotel Aurora^
^our lobby – so art deco^
^our room with a stonewall and lots of glas^

^Chloe loved the balcony^

^my baby^
^a crystal clear river flowing through the city^

^beautiful old buildings with arcs everywhere^

^church St. Nikolaus of Meran^

^had dinner at the Forsterbräu – delicious food and they brew their own beer^

^the city of Meran is full of beautiful parks and gardens^

^the mountains are right behind the city^

….
Hi dolls,

I am sharing my last travel recap of our South-Tyrol tour today so I am a little sad cause there is still lots of summer left but our vacation is already over.

Meran wasn´t the biggest city but I would say definitely the city with the most people and most things to do and see.

We stayed 3 days – from Friday to Sunday. Before checking in at our Hotel we visited the local market (it only was a 30 minutes drive from Bolzano). I was hoping for a big market like the ones they have at Lago di Garda. It was pretty similar but I would say only one third of the size. Although I have found some pretty nice pieces.
We checked into our hotel and after we had some coffee and exoplored the city.

After a quick refresh in the hotel we went out to the Forsterbräu for dinner.
They had delicious typical austrian food and they also brew their own beer. This really is a recommendation to visit cause you can sit outside as well as inside (the decoration and atmosphere is so nice) and they also have a small garden in the backyard to eat outside.

On Saturday (our 2nd day) we went back to the city and had a look the church St. Nikolaus (and for some ice-cream). It was pretty impressive. So big and I loved that the front was build of bricks.

We got some souvenirs (since we buy a magnet for our kitchen from every place we went together) and afterwards we went into stores and got some button downs and polo shirts for Florian.
There are so many beautiful park areas in the city centre of Meran. You can stroll around and sit by the fountains or stay in the shadow under big palm trees.

On the evening there was a singer at the hotel´s patio so we had a drink there listening to music before heading out for dinner to a burger restaurant.
The burger´s where amazing and so affordable. They had different types of homemade fries and dips. So delicious.
Unfortunately it started raining so we couldn´t go back to the live music.

The next day we checked out, loaded the car and headed back home.

After 5 hours we where finally back in our own house. It is always nice to get out for a few days and see other places and do other things than you are usually up to but for us it is a reminder how we love are home and being at home.

I liked South-Tyrol a lot but I didn´t love it. In the end is just too much mountains for me. I had always been and will always be a lake/beach girl.

Have you already been there ? What did you do ?

As always thanks for stopping by.

Take care. See you.
