Casual Saturday #40…

….

The weekend is finally here and I couldn´t be any happier. The last couple days have been filled with nothing but distraction and appointments so I wasn´t able to get anything done at home and that always bothers me. A lot. But I had a free day yesterday and got it all done so my chi is restored and I am happy about what the weekend brings for us.

Eating:

On Tuesday we burried my great aunt and after that all of the relatives went to a typical Bavarian restaurant called – Spitalgarten – in Regensburg. I am not a huge fan of the native kitchen but I have no complaint here. I had fried potatoes with two pieces of meat filled with different ingredients. One was mediterranean filled with mozarella cheese and dried tomatoes and the other one was filled with swiss cheese and ham. Topped with cranberries it was a delicious lunch but it really is not diet food.

Yesterday we headed out with a befriended couple for dinner. We got Sushi at a place we have been many times but I think I have never told you about it here. It is called Oasia and I think it opened about 2 years ago. We had been there several times and always loved it. You can order your sushi rolls via IPad and I think this is so futuristic. The food is made fresh the minute you order it and comes to your place about 10 minutes later. They are super quick and also super friendly.

Also we went to Dean & David´s the week before and had a delicious and healthy chicken bowl. Really good with a ton of fresh and healthy ingredients. Also the chicken caesar salad is a hit.

Shopping:

I got some things I already ordered for our trip to Hamburg. Maybe too soon but I don´t think so because sales are in its full bloom and  you can also shop non-winter pieces.  These are the embodiment of Chanel class and sophistication but for a fraction of the prize and I also got a pair of sneakers for our trip but since I don´t do no heel I got these platform leopard print sneakers from SheIn which are adorable. Another piece I got are these white jeans from Mango. They have a wider leg and they are also high-waisted so what is not to love about them.

Watching:

We started and finished YOU within this week. In my opinion it is really thrilling and I got hooked from episode 1. You really start to like him a lot more than her, although he is the crazy stalker guy and she the victim. Can´t wait until season 2.

There is also one new episode of Riverdale every Thurday so this really puts my patience to test but . We are also still watching Supernatural (Season 2 now) and started the 11th season of Big Bang Theory.

I am wishing all of you a nice weekend. See you on Monday.

Casual Saturday #37…

….
(post contains links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Verlinkungen-not sponsored)
Oh boy, the month of December is almost over and we did so much and are still not done but I think I am rounding up a little of the last month of the year before all the New Years reflections start to roll in.

December always is the busiest month over here. From decoration to Christmas shopping to attending and hosting holiday parties there is a little time left to visit advent markets or go on a Christmas themed dinner cruise.
So let´s see if I can remember the whole month:
Party:
Our annual holiday party has been on the last day of November. Celebrating the Christmas time with our close friends is always something I look forward too cause it is so much joy and fun laughing and talking together. View our tablescape here.
The Line Dance Christmas party has been on a usual training day which means it was on a Monday evening but that was alright with me since we always train on those nights. So it has been lots of dancing plus food.
Florian´s grandmas birthday is on the 5th of December so family is always coming together there for spending the afernoon or evening together.
The next dinner party we celebrated was actual Christmas Eve at Florian´s parents house. We always exchange presents, head to church and have lasagna afterwards followed by chatting way past midnight.
Family Christmas dinner is always at our house at the first holiday. I cook a four course menu and everyone can enjoy themselves while eating and chatting and drinking fine wine. Here is my table decor for this feast, fashionable in pink, black and gold.
Travel:
For some reason we skipped our December travels last year but we are back on track this year visiting the huge and phenomenal advent market in Leipzig and also took a look at their landmarks during the three days we stayed there. We found a shopping centre that´s like a mini version of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele from Milan called Mädler Passage.
The whole city is decorated with lights and garlands and it is just such a festive atmosphere. Be sure to check out my Leipzig travel guide coming very soon.
  Food:
The only real dinner we had this month (besides homecooked food) was a 4-course dinner cruise we participated. The interior is fully made of glass and Swarovski crystals and was overall super sparkly and christmassy. I have to admit I have never been on a dinner cruise before and I was a little nervous. View the post including pictures of our dinner cruise here.

If you are in the German area be sure to check out the advents markets. Every city has one and the food they sell couldn´t be more different. From tartes to roasted almonds to different sausages to gingerbreads and pastries is a thing for two for everyone.

Sales:
The H&M after Christmas sale is my most favortie sale of the whole year. So many pieces which just got into stores are discounted pretty high online on the days between Christmas and NYE. Be sure to check out their page.
Shopping:
To say I didin´t shop for myself would be a lie but about 90% of all my shopping this month has been Christmas related. Whether it was decor or presents. But I got a few things for myself while in Leipzig at Sephora and the Zalando Outlet Store.

Watching:
Besides all the Christmas movies there hasn´t been anything new I have watched on Netflix but we are going to see the new Mary Poppins Returns movie in the cinema tonight.
Thanks for staying with me until the end. This has been a long review but it also has been a long month. Now I am planning on new content and new post ideas and also have to finish painting our bedroom.

November Reading List + December Bucket List including our Swarovski dinner cruise…

….

Hello my dearest friends,
(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)
it is Sunday and what´s best to do for Sunday´s than read?? Anyone with me? I am sharing another round of my reading list today. All of the books I have read in November (I wish they where more but with all the beginning of the Christmas hustle and bustle, Thanksgiving and our Holiday Party there wasn´t just enough time).

Three Wishes by Liane Moriarty //
Sensible Lyn is struggling to balance being a mother, wife and
businesswoman without losing her mind. Cat, whose perfect marriage is
the envy of all her friends, never suspects that her husband has been
hiding a secret that will tear her life apart. Directionless Gemma
changes jobs and boyfriends every few months and has just met a new man
who could be the one to unlock her hidden past.

Through
everything, the bonds of the sisters are strong enough to withstand
whatever life throws at them. That is until the night of their
thirty-fourth birthday dinner, when home truths are revealed and things
are said that can’t be taken back.

My opinion: A nice read. I really love her writing style. I absolutey adored Big Little Lies and this book is also really great. Not as got as the other but a gread read.

The New Fashion Rules by Victoria Margrath //
The rules of fashion have changed. The new digital era is all about
being seen, liked and inspired. So how do we define ourselves through
style? And why has the evolution of the Internet changed the way we buy
and wear clothing? Superblogger Victoria Magrath reveals the pivotal
moments that have transformed the fashion world, from the Nineties
through to the Noughties, and shares insider secrets and practical tips
for navigating the ever-changing fashion landscape. Find inspiration
from the new diversity movement which embraces all shapes and sizes,
relive the moment Cara Delevingne recorded a selfie on the catwalk and
discover how internet sensations like Instagram and ASOS are changing
the landscape of fashion permanently. These are The New Fashion Rules.

My opinion: Loved it and totally recommend it. I shows you Victoria´s perspective on the change of fashion from a few years ago and today´s fast fashion including more fashion shows than ever and new trends as fast as the Internet can share. If you are a fashion lover you can totally relate to the them and you will love it.

White Lies by Lucy Dawson //
Alexandra Inglis is a respected family doctor, trusted by her
patients to keep their most intimate secrets. And if sometimes the
boundaries between duty and desire blur… well, she’s only human.
But
when Alex oversteps a line with Jonathan, one of her patients, she
knows she’s gone too far. Jonathan is obsessive, and to get what he
wants he will tear Alex’s world apart – threatening not only her career
but her marriage and family too.
Soon Alex finds she’s capable
of doing almost anything to keep hold of her perfect life, as it begins
to spin dangerously out of her control…

My opinion: I couldn´t get into it for the frist 20 to 30 pages but at somepoint it has an interesting twist a way I could have never guessed it and it got me hooked from the minute this happened so I had to finish it at once. Super thrilling. You will not believe what and how it is happening. Highly recommend this one.

Casual Sunday #36 and our day at the Bunte Beauty Days in Munich….

….

Hi guys,
(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)
I has been quite a while since a little update around here (besides my usual posts) so today´s will be a little longer – which means get yourself a hot cup of delicious smelling coffee first – as there is a lot to tell but first of all “Happy Saturday”.

Watching:
Since I am in total Christmas mood, almost done with decorating the house, I am of course watching Christmas movies already. I can only use watch Netflix (wanted to subscribe to the Hallmark Channel but it isn´t available in my area – really sad day) so since there aren´t as many movies available for Christmas I have only seen Christmas with the Kranks and Christmas with a View and I am definitely going to watch The Spirit of Christmas again.

Eating:

I have to admit we do not eat out as much as we used too and I don´t know exactly why because it is not about the money and also not that we don´t like the food that restaurants offer anymore. I guess it is just because we are getting cozy in the colder months and also love to enjoy a homecooked meal.

But on Halloween we went out on a date night (hadn´t been on one since our honeymoon in September) and reserved a place at our favorite Indian restaurant in the city called Taj Mahal. It is super old. My mum has eaten there when she was young so I think they might be in business at least 30 years from now. We always eat the same dish number 65 called Murgh Masala – chicken with fragrant rice and a sauce so delicious and a little spicy. We also order a nan – an Indian flatbread – to make sure there is no drop of sauce wasted.

Last week we also headed out to another restaurant we love with my SIL and her boyfriend – the Beach House. They have Californian kitchen and such a fashionale and modern place. We also love the open cooking space cause the food smells so good. I always have the chicken caesar salad with sweet potatoe fries and guacamole and Florian mostly eats a burger cause they are so juicy and tasty.

Cooking:
I made these spinach-ricotta-feta filled pancakes the other day and we where positively surprised cause they tasted really great. Definietly gonna make them again.

I also tried the most baked recipe on the Internet – the pumpkin chocolate chip cookie. If I liked it and how it went is to find in Friday´s post

Also still trying to find the perfect turkey gravy for Thanksgiving and time is running out so if you have any suggestions please tell me.

Eventing:
My SIL and I attended the Bunte Beauty Days in Munich two weeks ago and had a total blast. It was a trade show all about beauty, how to prevent aging of  your skin, you could get all dolled up with a new makeup look or sit and listen to presentations and also have a look at the newest products which weren´t store at that time. They had the new Dyson hair tools and lots of Arabian cosmetic brands. We made lots of pictures and great memories and overall had a really great day there. It is an annual trade show which takes place in Munich every year.

Shopping:
Since I am planning on repainting and remodelling our bedroom at the beginning of next year I am already looking for some new decor pieces and H&M Home never disappoints. I have found so many beautiful things in their online shops for every room in our house.
!function(doc,s,id){ var e, p, cb; if(!doc.getElementById(id)) { e = doc.createElement(s); e.id = id; cb = new Date().getTime().toString(); p = ‘//shopsensewidget.shopstyle.com/widget-script.js?cb=1541403985912?cb=’ + cb; e.src = p; doc.body.appendChild(e); } if(typeof window.ss_shopsense === ‘object’){ if(doc.readyState === ‘complete’){ window.ss_shopsense.init(); } } }(document, ‘script’, ‘shopsensewidget-script’);
Also already started Christmas shopping. Only need a few more things but I am gonna wait on the Black Friday deals for that (post follows).

Thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.
