the weekend is near and for me it is my birthday weekend. I am going to be 31 tomorrow. A birthday in times of a pandemic feels so strange and insignificant plus since we are in our second hard lockdown there is nothing to do and no place to go and no one to invite but I am going to get dolled up and also get sushi take-out. That is my wish for my birthday and we have to celebrate the little things otherwise there is no healthy mental way out of this situation.
Anyways (I am going to share more about my birthday and everything that has happenend in a year on the weekend) let´s talk about this look. An all black look is really uncommon for myself but I wanted to try it since it can look dead ass serious and oh so chic. To be honest it looked great but a little plain to me, just need my splash of color somewhere, so I decided to ad some blush. I got this cute plaid scarf back in November when the shops were still open and never wore it so this was the perfect ocassion. A matching pearly headband and a cute little shoulder bag completed the look.
I liked the all black style a lot more than I thought. Going to style another one very soon since it somehow is Winter´s must worn color and speaking of Winter – have you seen the gorgeous frosted trees in the background of the pictures. Frozen leaves and blades of gras always look so mystical to me.
Not going to post tomorrow but make sure to check my Instagram since I am definitely going to post a few pictures. See ya soon.
it has been snowing on and off for the last seven days or so, also it is freezing cold and January which officially matches the month to the weather.
There is no possibility of wearing heels soon so I finally got myself a pair of warm and comfortable duck boots. So far they have been great. I didn´t not freeze nor slip and they are waterproof where it is important.
The style is called duck boot because the boot was created by a man who was in need of a pair of shoes which could keep his feet dry while hunting ducks. Also some say the tip of the shoe reminds them of the beak of a duck. Another term for the style is bean boot.
We definitely enjoyed the last few days getting fresh snow every once in a while because no one has to drive anywhere. To add some color to the look I am wearing above I went with a vibrant sweater including different colors. I picked out pink and wore my pink beanie as well as blush lipstick.
In honor of Valentine´s day and also because we are in our second hard lockdown I am starting a at home date night series tomorrow sharing one funny idea each week. So stay tuned.
I am usually not posting on Saturdays but I had some time on my hand and have taken a lot of cute Winter looks the last few days so I wanted to share some inspo.
We just came home from visiting a befriended couple of ours. They have a baby boy who is three months younger and I am always in awe that in baby age this is such a huge different. He started rolling over and Emilia is crawling everywhere at the moment. It is just amazing how they develop in such a short time.
Anyways let´s chat about the look I am wearing in the pictures above. I love a cape as much as anyone who wants to add some drama to a style but a plaid one including pink and orange is perfection itself.
The question was if I wanted to go with orange or pink and I went with pink cause I missed wearing my MAC Retro Gloss and this was the perfect ocassion to put it on again.
Beige is a great color to pair with many others but Pink really pops with it. This was one of the outfits I felt very Gossip Girl with and I didn´t hate it.
We are now home cooking together and watching TV. Another hard lockdown is starting on Monday so there isn´t going to be much to-do.
it is a holiday today and it also snowed the whole day so we didn´t do much to be honest. My husband is home for the rest of January and I must say I really could get used of having him around all the time.
With the snow everywhere I am in a total mood of posting one snow and winter outfit after another but I still have some styled outfits I wanted to share with you as well.
My favorite style for the Winter definitely is a turtleneck but I recently discovered the square neck sweater too.
The square neck has been popular in the 1940´s and had its comback last year. The flattering shape of the square neck fits most body types which makes it a great piece for a wide range of different woman. Square necks actually appeared first on gown at the end of the 18th century so they have existed for a quite a long time and now made their way back into stores.
This outfit has been one of my Christmas styles but still looks super cute if you are wearing it now. The skirt is cozy and warm but still looks a little dressier cause of the pencil style cut.
I do have a bunch of stlyed outfits for this and next week and they all somehow contain red or pink so not so much surprise on the color front here as on the difference of the styles.
