Red Velvet Cupcakes for Valentine´s Day…

….
Happy Friday y´all,
(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affilate Links-not sponsored)
since Valentine´s Day is right around the corner and I have planned more content than usual for one of my favorite holidays I am starting today with these adorable treats – RED VELVET CUPCAKES. I love red velvet cake. It is my favorite flavor ever and probably won´t change.
First I wanted to make a whole cake but after thinking on how to serve it little cupcakes came in a lot more handy for this purpose.
The deep red of the batter and the soft and delicious vanilla frosting topped with tiny pink sugar hearts make them the perfect little cake to gift to your collegues, family, friends or even enjoy all by yourself.
I have made red velvet cake several times but have never been a 100% satisfied and that was because of the color. If you have the wrong color when the batter is still raw it will turn out more pink than red and that is never what I was going for. It was back in August last summer when I found a food coloring paste from Wilton and it changed my baking forever.
It it super high pigmented and it also has the consistency of jello so it won´t dilute your dough at all but color very nicely. I know it says icing color on the packaging but that works just fine.If you are also bothered by food color a lot you should get it. They have over 10 colors and I think they might be as good as this one.

Not only do I love the holiday because of its meaning, I also don´t mind that the color combination of pink and red is going to be even more popular these days.

What is your favorite cake ? Do you have one?

Thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.

Winter Style // Plaid Pencil Skirt and Chunky Knit Sweater…

Haven´t felt so Ralph Lauren fall collection like in quite a while. The heavy knit pullover and the plaid pencil skirt fitting so seamlessy into the background of dark brown wood and lush green moss like straight out of a commercial.

I absolutely love combining an oversized sweater with a slim silhouette like a skinny jeans or a pencil skirt. The sweater was really warm and fit perfectly with the pencil skirt I got from H&M.

Brown hues are usually not my favs but these are gorgeous together. The bag I am wearing in the picutres above was the second leather bag I have ever gotten. This has probably started my handbag addiction.

Since there are so many different colors in the skirt you could also choose a black sweater / heels and bag combo but I preferred a lighter color on top.

Hope you are having a great day so far. The middle of my week is already over and I couldn´t be more happy about that. It has been very exhausting since Monday morning and there is more which needs to be done, but more about that later.

Be sure to check out the H&M online store sale section. There are tons of sales going on to incredible prices. I am sure you could find some pieces who could be transitioned into spring easily like the skirt I am wearing above. I got this one and wore it yesterday and I love it. Post is going to be up soon.

Awesome handbags for the working girl at every price point….

….

Good morning to all my working girls,
(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)
I am sharing a long overdue post in the work category today. As you might know I am working 4 full days of the week at an engineering office and therefore I always have lots of stuff with me which normally includes my phone, keys, charger, wallet, my makeup pouch and another one for other things like hand sanitizer, pencils, gum.
I also have my Erin Condren life planner with me along with my breakfast, lunch and a small snack for in between, as well as my tea bottle and two water bottles (I need this much stuff because there is no way of getting food at my work place and we are also in the middle of nowhere so there is nothing around).
Most of the food/drink stuff is in a small separate basket but let´s think of the possibilty of also carrying your notebook or tablet in your handbag too.

I got this beautiful yellow satchel (color is called safran) bag from my husband for my birthday last week and loved it ever since. Not only do I truly love the brand (it is from Lauren by Ralph Lauren) and wanted to own a bag of theirs for the longest time but I also love the rich and vibrant shade of yellow. This will go with so much different looks I can´t wait to style it differently.
Don´t hesitate to use color for your office looks. If your color palette for clothes is more on the nude and/or darker side add a pop of color by a beautiful handbag. A red or even a vibrant

For this and also for the fashionable reason I have rounded up a bunch of great options for your „office bag„. I would always pick a hand bag with a well made bottom that stands for itself. If you can see right inside it, clutter won´t be produced by searching for stuff.
The perfect modell differs a little but I wouldn´t stray to far aside from a shopper, tote or satchel bag. I have listed my favorite finds for each price category since we all have different point of view on money and the worth of a hand bag for one personally.
The look I am wearing has become a go-to for me this winter. A comfortable knit midi skirt paired with a cute sweater, boots (preferable super cool statement boots) and a colorful bag. Of course I am wearing a jacket when I am outside but that would be a nice look for a more casual day at the office or even the wekend.

Good morning friends,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

I am sharing my first snow included look this winter. We didn´t even think about snow in November or December as it was way to warm but now it is here and more than ever (picutre was just the beginning of a week long snow storm).

Since I am not a huge fan of tight pants in general there are some alternatives I love wearing on the colder days like this pretty track pant I got on sale from Zara (I also have the olive version, view post here).

I paired it with a retro inspired two colored pullover with bell sleeves I got from H&M many years ago and a color matching silk scarf I tied to a bow. I honestly loved the bow around my neck very much. It gave the whole look such a sophisticated touch.

Also black and white is never a bad idea. I often reach for this combination when I have absolutely no clue what to wear and add a splash of color to it. Et voilá you have a look.

All together this makes a total work appropriate winter look for your office. You could also change the boots for a pair of black heels and you are good to go.

Hope you are having a great week so far. I am through the middle of my work week already and I couldn´t be happier. Somehow I am still in the weekend.
