FYI: I prepared this blog post before our baby girl arrived so there would still be fresh content on the blog while I am taking a break from blogging. That’s why you’ll still see me pregnant or referencing my pregnancy in some upcoming blog posts!

Happy Friday you guys,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

don´t we all have these special prodcuts we love, use over and over again and also have as a back-up in case they brake or are empty. I am talking about our holy grail make-up products. I have a bunch I used for years and hardly ever swap because once I have found a tried and true favorite which isn´t easy and takes a long time I stick to it.

My Holy Grail Make-Up Products

Benefit Hoola Bronzer // This has been my go-to bronzer for what feels like forever. I first started with the mini version and it lasted me for about three years which has been a few months ago so I got the normal sized version. It is a little pricey but it really lasts a long long time so this totally justifies the price point. You can also use it as an eyeshadow base.

Benefit Porefessional Primer // I have tested a bunch of different primer throughout the years and no one ever created such a smooth and even surface to put my make-up on. A little goes a long way for this product. I really liked it and already purchases it again. The only downside is when you are using to much of the product it shows off very quickly because it starts to crumble.

essence Lash Princess Mascara // The cheapest mascara I have ever tried/used but it is perfect. The black is very deep, the price is under 3 Euro which is unbelievable and the brush is perfect to apply your mascara whithout spreading or smudging the color for both the upper and lower lash line.

MAC Prep + Prime Lip Primer // Also got this one for my wedding as it had great reviews and ended up using it for years now. It is the best base if you are battling dry lips and want to wear dark or matte lipsticks. It evens out your lips and also hydrates them plus works at a great base to make it last longer.

essence matt blotting paper // A few years back I was on the search for blotting papers that worked and didn´t break the bank cause I honestly don´t want to pay 15 Euro for 20 little pieces of paper like some brands offer cause I sweat a lot in the summer and I need about 5 of them a day so I tried the essence matt blotting papers and they work great for me. I have purchased them over and over again and in summer time I probably have one in every bag I use.

Smashbox Spotlight Highlighter Palette // Got this for my wedding a few years back and I ended up loving it and using it on a daily base. The different highlighter shades are all gorgeous and can be build up so well or just a little. Depends on how much you like to wear.

essence blush in color autumn peach // The best peachy blush I have ever found and it is so cheap. It is super hard to find a nice orange shade for the cheeks. I have been looking for years and never found one that is more perfect. It matches great with peachy lip colors and overall is a great shade to wear in the Fall.

MAC Fling brow pen // I have tried a ton of different brow pencils made of wet consitency and pens and gel but I ended up coming back to this one every single time cause it matches my brow color the best and it also lasts for the longest time, on my brow as well as the pencil itself.

MAC Matte Lipstick in color Persistence // My most used nude lipstick. The color looks great for every season and I love that the coverage is super high.

MAC Liner in color Spice // Matching lip liner to the MAC lipstick above. Came in a set as I purchased it but you can also get the items single.

Real Techniques make-up sponge // A great alternative to the Real Beauty Blender as it is super soft and blends in all the make-up and concealer very well. You get two for the price of 10 Euro and I think that is perfectly fine. They also clean up real nice with brush soap. And a huge plus is if you like limited edition look at their site for the big holidays of the year cause they always come up with new patterns and colors.

Sephora Collection powder foundation in color Petal // I tried this by accident cause I ended up forgetting a ton of stuff as we went on our honeymoon so I had to go to Sephora and purchase some things and I ended up trying this powder I now love. It is super covering and works great to seal of your make-up and keep it matte all  day. But it also looks great to wear by itself if you are going for a more natural look but don´t want  to be make-up less. I have been getting the color Petal for my skintone and always have about two of the powder foundations at home as back up cause you never know.

L´Oréal Paris Color Riche Lipstick in color Paris Cherry // My most used red lipstick. I absolutely love a darker shade of red. It is my go-to for fall and winter and fits a ton of my outfits too. The Color Riche lipsticks have an awesome texturen and smell and wear really well for the price of 10 Euros. I do have a ton of them but the Paris Cherry is my alltime favorite.

Sharing my opinion on make-up is always a lot of work and takes a lot of time to write it all down but I love make-up and love reading other make-up posts and I think it is so worth it comparing items before you finally pull the trigger as it can become very expensive to get all the products for a full face cover and would want to have the possible best working ones.

Thanks for stopping by. See you tomorrow.

Happy Tuesday friends,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

hopefully you had a good start into the new week. It is day 11 in home quarantine over here and we are still in a good mood. There are lots of things you can do to distract yourself for most of the day, at least for us. Maybe it is easy to say for me cause we don´t have any kids in the house yet (waiting on baby girl to make here appearance but she for sure is taking her sweet time) but it is still a ton of time to pass without having the opportunity to go anywhere than on a walk.

I wanted to share some activities which we included in our daily schedule so time will pass a little quicker or at all.

What to do at home…

1 // Read – Now is finally the time to dust of all the books in your shelves and finally start reading them or get some off from amazon. I always have a bunch on my wishlist I plan on purchasing from other reviews.

2 // Watch Netflix – The time probably won´t come again were it is acceptable to binge watch for days. There are tons of great shows on Netflix. I have done two round-ups you can read for inspo here and here.

3 // Make a puzzle – We got a 1000 piece puzzle and believe me this task is going to occupy a lot of your time and it is super calming. It has been years since I have done a puzzle and I have to admit I love it.

4 // Play board games – A great way to pass time and interact with your partner but I would only recommend if you aren´t highly competitive cause you at least have to stay inside for another two weeks.

5 // Organize your house – Not everyone´s favorite but definitley one over here. Amazon still ships so you can get all the container or inserts you would need to organize certain rooms/categories in your home like the pantry, your jewelry or beauty corner.

6 // Do online workout classes – Many gyms or/and even dance studios offer online workout classes or dancing lessons. A fun alternative to sporting outdoors and also spend productive time with your significant other.

7 // Take daily walks – If you are still allowed to do so this is a task which should be done everyday. Getting in fresh air, movements and sunshine is super healthy for your body and mind which is really important at the moment.

8 // Try out new recipes- Definitely another reason for a daily number 7 cause with all that time on hand I have never tried out more different recipes than these days. I already made these delicious flourless peanut butter cookies from The Lemon Blonde and a Dutch Baby (an oven baked pancake) twice.

9 // Do your taxes – If you should get super bored despite all of the activities you can still do your taxes for last year.

I hope you are all staying healthy and as much home as possible so far. It is a difficult and strange time but it will also pass like so many others did before and we hopefully come out smarter and more resilient than before.

My Amazon Buys – February…

….

Happy Monday,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

it is finally March which means we are closer to Spring which hopefully means warmer weather and Spring looks and the other great event which hopefully takes place this month is giving birth to our baby girl.

But for now and since we are still waiting on everything I am sharing my February Amazon buys with you guys.

Golden Rectangular Earrings // I finally ordered another pair of these adorable golden earrings. Haven´t gotten them now but I really hope they arrive this time cause the mail has lost my first pair already. This style will work great with so many looks I have planned for spring and summer. Gold jewelry always looks best with a tan in the summer.

Baby´s First Year Blanket + Cards // Can´t wait to use this with baby girl. Really great quality of the muslin blanket and sturdy number cards. I think the set has a great value for under 25 Euro.

Set of Braided Headbands // If you are following my blog you might know I am a headband lover from the first second so I am always looking for new styles and colors I don´t have and let me tell you, this set of three is so comfortable also how gorgeous is the deep royal blue color!!!!!

Flanell Bow Headband // Saw this on a bunch of bloggers and reminded me of my childhood cause I had a piece like this when I was little. There are several styles available but of course I ended up getting the leopard print one. I am using it every evening when I am washing/cleaning my face.

Salad Chopper // Ordered this to chop my salad as I hate having big chunks of salad on my plate. It literally make me cook less salad cause I hate the messy eating. This is abolute perfect for it. Also works great with spaghetti if you like to eat them with a spoon and no mess.

Simple Modern Water Bottle // Pregnant or not, you are supposed to drink a lot of water to keep your body hyrated so I got this adorable water color in the mother-of-pearl color. Keep my water super cool which I prefer over anything else but it also comes with a second lid for hot beverages. So the cooling function will work the other way around too.

Hair Turban // I had one of these when I was younger – why are all of my hair accessories missing these days  – so I got this one again. It has a button on the back so it holds all the wet hair perfectly after washing and the material is supposed to soak up all the excesive water that´s left in your hair to dry it quicker.

Beaded Pink Earrings // Perfect for Spring so why not?!

Cribsheet // Going to read this step by step. Depends on how far we are with baby girl but it it works until age two if I remember correctly. Holds tons of information. Definitely work a read.

Meat Masher // Super basic but totally convenient for cooking any type of minced meat. Provides lumps and everything will be cooked through equally. Also the consistency of the product you are using it on gets a lot smoother.

Hospital Nightgown // I always feel a lot more comfortable in my own clothes so I got this hospital inspired night gown. It has buttons alongside the back in case you need/want an epidural so it is basically designed for this case.

Nipple Cream // Going to need this one from what I hear.

Letter Necklace // Got this in addition to my mama necklace with the letter E for our baby girl´s name. I love wearing both of them mixed together as the lenghts pair perfectly. Also available in silver if you aren´t a gold fan.

Pepper Spray // Not necessarily a must but I am walking Chloe most of the days alone so I am feeling better having something on me. Also I am not the fastest anymore so a little more precaution can´t hurt.

GG Statement Earrings // Hopefully they arrive soon cause aren´t they just beautiful with all the different colors.

Rolling Stones inspired Sweater // The number one sweater I have seen everywhere the last few weeks. I love mine a lot. Got a size small since they only sell unisex sizes and it still fits with the bump, thight but fits. Separate outfit post coming soon.

It has been a lot of stuff I have found this month but it also included some baby/pregnancy related products which I clearly need for my hospital bag (going to share all of these items in a different post but first I have to find out which ones I really need and which ones are good/crap).

….

Hello and welcome back to my blog,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

since I haven´t done much to review the year of 2019 I decided to at least share my favorite in 2019 discovered beauty tools with you. They all have helped me tremendously in getting ready everyday and overall made life a lot easier.

So I am starting right away.

Top 6 Beauty Tools of 2019

One Step Hair Dryer Brush // I have seen the Revlon one step hair dryer brushes all over and everybody who was testing it was quite satisfied so I finally wanted to order one for myself and guess what – they had been sold out everywhere I looked so I went on amazon and found this dupe version of it for a much better price and I love it. I can´t tell if it has the exact same amount of power but it looks very similar and the end result is the same. I always hated to dry my hair after washing it and went to bed with wet hair an uncountable amount of times which ended in really bad hair or still wet hair the next morning. So this tool definitely makes my live easier and it does it quick too.

Mini Fan // This helped a lot to dry my setting spray after doing my make-up and I use it every time. Saves a lot of time.

Remington Hot Rollers // I had these for a  few years not but started using them again a lot this year. They are the easiest way to get a lot of volume into your hair that stays the day.

T3 Curling Wand // I actually got this for Christmas last year and it has been my most used tool ever since. I curl my hair once a week and my curls last about 4 to 5 days. The wand has three different barells but I only used the middle one so far. This product is pricey but in my opinion it is totally worth it.

LED Make-Up Mirror // Great tool if you are doing your make-up in dark spaces or in the early mornings were there is no light at all. I have a very similar version to this mirror and use it daily. It runs on batteries but they last pretty long. It has a touch screen and also comes with an extra mini mirror with a 10 times enlargement.

Jade Roller // A jade roller is the perfect tool if you want to depuff your eyes in the morning and also get the eye cream in really deep. If you store it in your fridge it is even better for your under eye area as the cold helps with the swelling and shrinking your pores. They are super affordable but of course you can also get the crystal versions for a lot more money. They look cute but I honestly doubt that they have a different effect.

Most of the pieces are off from amazon which means they are in for prime shipping. I am going to do another tops from 19 post regarding my personal best beauty products for you.
