Happy Friday you guys,

since the weather has been so pretty lately I think it is officially BBQ season. I personally love throwing BBQ´s on the weekend and inviting friends and family over or just have a nice dinner between the two of us. I really have organized many BBQ´s in the last years and would consider myself the side dish expert, cause that is always my part.

I try to make a variety on side dishes to the grilled meat so that there is something everyone likes. For today´s post I am sharing my favorite and super easy side dishes to make.

I personally love asparagus so I try to incorporate it into a lot of different meals while its season. For this fried asparagus I make a dressing first and let it soak in for about half an hour. Afterwards I pour the whole mixutre into a pan and put fully turn on the heat. You can leave it as long in there as you want. The longer you fry it the softer the green asparagus gets.

Recipe fried green asparagus:

For one pack of asparagus (usually one pound) I use

 – one clove of garlic

– one squirt of lemon juice

– one teaspoon of salt

– 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper

– about 50 to 100 ml balsamic vinegar

– about 50 to 100 ml olive oil (it depends on how much asparagus I have, normally I want to cover 1/3 of the product in the bowl)

The second dish I personally love are these super easy, soft and juicy baked parmesan rolls. They are filled with herb butter and topped off with delicious parmesan cheese. I alwasy make a lot of them because they are a huge favorite and everyone always is looking forward for the rolls.

Recipe for the baked parmesan rolls can be found here.

And lastly foil potatoes with sour cream sprinkled with chives. This is nothing new but in my opinion it is super easy because we put the potatoes down to the hot coal in the grill and they cook by themselves. When the time comes around that the meat is done the potatoes will be too. Just unwrap them halfway cut in the middle and add some sour cream and chives. Delicous, healthy and easy.

Recipe for the foil potatoes

 – aluminium foil

– potatoes, I used the floury ones and also rather big than little ones)

– sour cream (as much as you like)

– chives (also as much as you like)

Do you have any preferred BBQ recipe. I would love to hear.

As always thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.
