and welcome to day three of 31 dresses of Summer – my July special. We didn´t do much today other than visiting my in-laws.
How to style a spaghetti strap linen dress
So this was a new type of dress for me. I never wear a spaghetti strap dress because I do not like my arms. I think they are to fat to look good in these kinds of dresses but this year I thought what the fu** life is short and when I want to wear spaghetti straps I´ll do.
So the dress is made of a linen blend material. Linen is the perfect material for Summer. It is breathable and has a cooling effect for your skin. Linen is in my opinion a love it or hate it material. I definitely have a few pieces but mom can not wear linen because it is so itchy for her.
I styled the dress with a cute little black cardigan I put loosely around my shoulders and of course with a pair of woven sandals. These are my favorites for the Summer.
my first dress of July went live yesterday and since Emilia was super fussy at night I wasn´t able to share it earlier but better late than never and we also have enough time unitl the end of July.
How to style a white boho dress
I love a white dress and every year Summer is approaching I am looking for a new one that will look pretty and summery but doesn´t show any undergarments. It is hard finding the perfect white dress and most of the times super unsatisfying but I think I did pretty good this year.
This little white number I am wearing above looks super similar to all the boho dresses out there and I would look amazing styled with a hat and cowboy boots for Coachella or a festival like that.
It has super cute embroidery on the top and on the sleeves which adds that boho charme I love so much.
Styling a white dress is super easy. In fact you can add any color you would like. It does looks extra summery though by adding pastels and neons to a crisp white dress. I opted for pastels here cause I wanted to wear my new pair of block heeled sandals. 😉
This has been number two of my 31 dresses of Summer series. See you tomorrow for another one.
to be honest I haven´t dedicated as much time to my blog as I wanted lately. We did many day trips and went into the city often and also visited our friends many times cause it has been forbidden so long and after all the restrictions had gone we felt like we needed to catch up.
So for the month of July I thought of something vey special. I am sharing 31 Summer dresses throughout the whole month of July. A new dress for you everyday – even on the weekends. This has been a lot of work for me but I wanted to spend more time creating content for you and also if you know me by following me for some time you know how much I love my dresses. It was also a really fun challenge to think of 31 different dresses to share but I made it and in my opinion it turned out great.
So with no further ado here we go with the first dress of July – the shirt dress. Shirt dressed haven´t been super present the last few years but they made a huge comeback in Spring and I am not mad about it. A shirt dress is such an easy piece to wear, whether you want to style it casual for heading out to lunch with friends or dress it up for work, there are several pieces that fit the bill.
The dress I am wearing in this post is a sale find from H&M in the most gorgeous lavender color. I have been finding myself wearing lots of pastell colors lately cause they fit so well with my red hair.
How to style a shirt dress
I had worn this cute dress out for lunch. It has an oversized fit so I added a belt to create a waistline here. You could definitely pull it off without a belt if you are tall but I am just to short so it was drowning me a little without. Another thing I like a lot is to wear a high pony tail or a bun with high/big collars.
I think it looks super chic plus it reveals the full collar of the dress and it gives you the opportunity to throw on an amazing pair of statement earrings. For shoes I just go with the weather the day I am wearing a dress. Warm and dry weather – sandals it is. The pair I am wearing is pretty new in my shoe closet and I have been wearing them around the clock. First of all white is my number one accessory color for Summer plus I have been definitely digging the woven sandals trend.
Et voilá, there it is, the first look for my 31 days of Summer dresses is here. Feel free to ask anything you want to know and also guess the next dress.
my husband´s vaction is over and we are back to business as usual but I am glad we did so much fun things. Since we had been very cautious last year we decided to untertake more day trips this year. My list is still long full of great day trips and fun things for Emilia to do.
Wearing a comfortable and cute outfit that matches your every need makes a trip even better. So how about a pair of highwaisted gingham shorts?! I mean gingham is the perfect Summer pattern and highwaisted shorts keep everything in place.
I still love my graphic shirts and try to incorporate them into as many outfits as I can. I absolutely love them to dress down a skirt as well but they do look pretty good with shorts too.
For shoes you could go with any pair you like. Sneakers, wedges, sandals – there are really no rules set in stone.
Are you a shorts gal? I only have about three pairs of shorts in my closet!
