do you have a signature pattern for Summer ? I definitely do. I think you might think it is flower print for me but it definitely is gingham. Yes gingham is my Summer print. It is THE perfect pattern for the hottest season of the year.
My husband is off work for the next two weeks and although our big vacation has got cancelled I still made lots of plans for day trips.
How to style the Gingham Dress
This dress is so cute and extraordinary. The gingham print is more on the subtle side because of the coloring. But that doesn´t mean it doesn´t look awesome. The collar is amazing.
I hope you had a good day so far. We had a rough night and I think the next is going to be bad as well. Emilia is sick. She has a fever and it went away in the morning and came back full force in the afternoon so now all my poor little baby wants is too cuddle and sleep and that is really not her.
Anyways now that she finally is asleep I have some free time on my hands to share another dress with y´all. It is the 20th on my 31 Dresses of Summer series and so far I am very happy how all of them turned out. I only had to switch out one cause I didn´t like the way it looked.
How to style the garden party dress
This outfit has to be my favorite so far. It looks so much like having sweet tea at a garden party in the south of the US. The perfect dress for an amazing ocassion. I have never been at one but I have seen all the movies and always loved the southern style and living. It is so chic and different from every other state.
For this look I went with a loose cut blush midi dress. It has the prettiest shade of light pink like a peony and a adorable ruffle sleeves.
The waist is cinched to set the focus in the middle. I added a belt for a tighter fit plus it sets a nice accent. All the accessories I added then fit the belt and the style of the dress. The straw hat and bag make it even more Summer and garden appropriate.
any gals working in an office around here ? This post is for you. I have worked in an office for the last ten years (currently I am home on maternity leave) and collected quite a lot of the “perfect” work dresses.
Of course the dress code isn´t the same at every work place. It is a wide range from casual to business casual to formal but you can never go wrong with a buttoned, collared, kneelong dress.
How to style the office dress
To be honest a chic office dress doesn´t need much. A blazer, some cute earrings and a roomey handbag and you are good to go and “armed” for a day of work.
Yellow is quite the bright color and maybe not office appropriate but I love it and I think it can still look professional with the right accessories and in the right cut and style.
There are only two weeks left of of 31 Dresses of Summer and I still have some cuties coming your way so stay tuned.
it has been one for the books. Great weather, nice temperature and we had so much fun today. We went to a nearby city to a garden area that has been rebuild with buildings and flowers of the Nepal temples and areas. It was crowded and we almost didn´t get a parking spot but it was great we went in cause it is a huge area and it wasn´t as bad. Afterwards we drove to Mc Donalds for a treat 😉
So let´s have a look at the next dress I am sharing . I have worn it today and it was a cute combo I have been loving lately. A t-shirt and dress combo also something I never thought I would wear but it looks pretty cute, would also make a very comfortable maternity look.
How to style the dress / t-shirt combo
In fact this is a pretty easy combo. All you need is a slim cut dress. A midi jersey dress works best for me but you could also go shorter if you prefer that and a slighly oversized t-shirt so you can knot it in the front. That´s it.
Color- and stylewise nothing is specified. You can take a print dress and put on a plain t-shirt or wear a plain dress like I did in the photos and a graphic t-shirt or a t-shirt with all over print. There are hundreds of varieties.
