we are still in the middle of Summer and heat but somehow it feels like fall is coming closer. The mornings and eveningw are chillier and it is getting dark earlier. There is fog everywhere when I walk Chloe. Kind of mysterious but also a little frightening (started watching Pretty Little Liars again on Monday – maybe not the best idea).

I got this dress in Italy at the local market and I love it. The color is gorgeous. Giving me all the beach vibes with its turquoise green hue.

I paired it with all white since a darker brown or black would be too harsch, maybe tan would work fine.

I really like these kinds of outfits. It looks so put together but just took about 5 minutes to figure out what to wear. That is the effortlessy of summer. Put on a dress and slides and you are ready to go. Although I am really craving fall, especially after the three week heat wave we had. It had almost been 40° degrees every day. That is too much.

not owning a white dress for Summer is like not havin a Christmas tree in December. It is a must, a closet essential. I love white pieces for Summer. The color spreads such lightness and enlargens the Summer feeling.


I have to admit that I am collecting white pieces for the last couple years since they don´t get old or untrendy. Pleats will stay and also white pencil skirt don´t get out of fashion and I am not seeing eyelet leaving anytime soon.


The dress I am wearing above is the definition of a perfect summer dress for me. It has a crisp white color, is lined underneath, has an adorable ruffled off-shoulder collar, a midi length and the most beautiful eyelet pattern I could have asked for.

A white summer dress radiates such an airy feel and Summer vibe. I can´t explain it but maybe you know what I mean. Also there is nothing looking better on taned skin.

So easy to combine with. Just keep your accessories low key in gold or tan or go all in with vibrant colors like orange, pink or turquoise. 

Believe me, you are definitely misssing out a little if you don´t get your own white summer dress.  


Back at work now but our weekend was wonderful with lots of relaxing stuff. We have a fun trip coming up so stay tuned.

Casual Saturday #35…

Hi guys,

it has been a while since I have done a Casual Saturday post. Time is really flying.

So let´s see what I have been up to the last weeks.

I had my bridal bruch three weeks ago and my bachelorette weekend last weekend. There is so much wedding stuff going on at the moment and I am in pure bliss. I really am not stressed out at all. I have a schedule, ordered everything by time. Already adjusted everything for the big day so there are only TWO!!! things left to do. It is incredible. Party planning throughout the years has paid off in my opinion.

So let´s see what I have discovered recently:

Drinks // I recently discovered the San Pellegrino lemonade series. I am not a sucker for soft drinks at all (all I usually like is a Diet Coke) but I love these. They are more on the fruity than on the lemonade side so extra point for that and the other thing is I don´t find them to sugary at all. We have tried orange, lemon and pomelo so far. Can´t wait to get the other two.

Shopping // I already started on styling fall looks cause I am so excited that it finally got cooler. I am really done with summer, the heat, the flood of insects, I am sweating all the time and everything starts to stink in a minute. You can see I am over it right!!! That is why the minute it started raining and to cool down I got my pumpkin spice candle and guess what – I missed the smell so much.
Loved this bag – the orange is the perfect fall color. Also this longsleeve is going to be perfect for transitioning into fall and who wouldn ´t love this black jeans??!!

Reading // Two days ago I started a new book. It is called White Lies. It is about an doctor for mental ill patients who is getting reminded of her dark past and all her lies by a patient very soon. It took me a while to get into it but I am going to go through with it since the reviews where so great.

Blog Posts // I loved home decor posts this week. The big girl´s room Emily has created for her daughter Capri is so pretty. Everything is in white and blush pink. Just adorable. Also the dining room reveal from Mara of MLovesM – so beautiful. Got some real maritime flair over there. Like you are right at the ocean. So so nice.


Watching // I have finished season two of Queen of the South and now I have to wait about one year for season three. Also have watched Set It Up on Netflix and I really liked it a lot. The Neflix made movies are also very nice to watch. So I might browse through their library a little. 


Wishing you guys a nice weekend. We are at home and I made some homemade stew and we are watching old seasons of Modern Family for the rest of the evening.

I am all about enjoying a glass of rosé or red after a day of work or on the weekend. Since I have always liked wine more than any other alcohol (no fan of beer and I totally hate all the hard liquors) I have a few brands I am loving and buying over and over again. The Gallo Family for example has all the wines from white to red we love. 

Florian is preferring a glass of white over any other but he doesn´t mind drinking a sip of red with me. The Gallo wine group is the largest exporter of California wines so there is one for every adult in our family.

Ingredients:
This is an all-in batter – one of my absolute favorites.


– 100 gr. bacon, diced
– 100 gr. chopped scallions
– 150 ml milk
– 80 ml rape oil
– 1 egg 
– 220 gr. of flour
– 1 teaspoon of salt
– 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking soda
– 2 teaspoons tomato spice (this is all I add but you are free to take whatever you like)


I got the silicone mini bundt cake baking form (better to remove them single afterwards) 
Put one tablespoon of batter into the


Bake for 28 to 30 minutes at a 180° degrees.


If you want you can them enjoy warm as well.
