since you might now from my former posts I had my Bridal Brunch two Saturday´s ago. I invited all the girls and ladies which attend our wedding for brunch and also to get to know each other. Might have gotten some presents all well and I really don´t mind about that.

The theme was pretty clear from the invitations to the flowers and table scape and to the cake everything was pink, blush and rose with a touch of gold.

Since we are getting married in the fall and also Florian wasn´t that fond of the idea of pink accents at our wedding I went all in for this event.

The invitations really looked like I had imagined. Soft hues wiht florals around the text and blush on the back. This is a letter I would love to receive in the mail and not always plain white bills. I got them from kartenmacherei.de and they usually where save-the-date cards but since you can customize everything you can write on top what you like. I decided to go with round corners and the mother-of-pearl finish. They turned out so nice. I am glad I could save some for my memory wedding box.

Since I invited so many people and my living room is only capable of hosting 14 sitting people or 20 standing people I had to extend to the outside. Luckily the weather was alright so we also got some fresh air and more space. I stringed together 3 tables and covered them in white. Adding a rose sequin table runner immediately created a romantic look. So did the paper plates with the beautiful flower pattern. I wanted to have all of the tableware in plastic or cardboard so I could easily throw it into the gargabe afterwards. Even we are having a big dishwasher but this would have taken many loads to get cleaned up.

I devided the food and the drinks so people wouldn´t gather up in one corner and get stuck. The coffee table was covered with coffee, different juices and of course some bubbly.

Have you noticed the adorable flower arrangements on the table. They where made by Florian´s adorable mum. She is just the sweetest and so talented with all things flowery. The hydreangeas and roses came from her own garden. Also the smell of the flowers was incredible.

The buffet consisted of two tables I clothed with pink plastic ruffle table clothes to hide the hiddeous legs.
We had a sweet and a hearty side offering fresh watermelon, doughnuts, quark dish with berries, rice pudding with raspberry sauce and of course the most adorable cake I have seen in a while. A blush marzipan cake topped with flowers and melted golden colored white chocolate. My heart literally skipped a beat when I unpacked it for the first time. If you like this was the test run for our wedding cake cause it comes from the same cake shop.
The hearty side was covered in salmon burritos and fish filled croissants. Hearty miniature bundt cakes (recipe is coming soon) and a cheese board.

This couldn´t take place without the help of my adorable bridesmaids who helped get everything ready in the morning, the pretty flower bouquets Florian´s mom made and the delicous salmon burritos my mum contributed.

It was a really fun brunch and everyone was talking and interacting with the others and was getting to know eacht other just how I intended it. Now they are having another base when they are meeting again at the wedding in a month and can catch up.

We really are on the home straight to our wedding. My bachelorette weekend is starting tomorrow and Florian´s bachelor party is in two weeks and there is only his birhtday party on the 4th then and wohoo – our wedding.

I have to admit I was never much of a romper / jumpsuit fan. Just the idea of taking the whole thing of when going to the bathroom scared me off. I have seen styled versions and blog posts with so many and different ones throughout the year and also my SIL love to wear those so I gave it a try. Actually the three pieces I own where bought within 4 weeks. I have to admit I love how they fit and it is so easy to style them. Like putting on a dress but a little more laid back.

Also there are so many different ways to dress them up to wear them on a date or at a concert for example.

The black and white gingham print is adorable and super versatile. In fact you could pair every other color to it to add a little more vibrance.

I went for the crocheted and straw details and the second I put it on it somehow reminded me of a girl selling fruit and vegetable at a farmer´s market. Maybe you can relate to that.

If you want to snag your own fabulous piece be sure to go in stores now. There are huge sales going on everywhere cause whether you like it or not. Summer is fading and soon we are on the home straight fall.

Beauty Routine – how I take care of my legs / feet in the Summer…

shouldn´t one of our most used body parts receive the most and best care? Yes probably. But when it comes to my legs/feet I have to admit I am neglecting them a little bit. Although I am buying them pretty shoes but that ain´t enough.

So for today I am rounding up my current routine. What I plan on including into it and some tips.

Let´s start with the most annoying part (at least in my opinion) – shaving!!

In the summer months I am shaving every day. This is okay so far cause it isn´t a real problem while showering to shave your legs but even by using different products and sharp razor blades there are still stubbles.

I have used many shower creams, gels and oils but only one thing helped. First of all I have to admit I can´t use products with aloe vera cause I have an allergical reaction with it and get a terrible itching rash on the spots I used it.

So why not waxing or using an epilator? Good question but this is not recommended if you are prone to varicose veins or spider veins. I do have some little spider veins already so I don´t want to gain more by waxing my legs.

All that´s left now is shaving and here is my tip. I am using men´s shaving cream. My favorite is from Gilette. I doesn´t contain aloe vera. It goes on smooth. It is inexpensive and it works. By using men´s shaving cream I achieve the softest result for my legs without itching afterwards.

Of course the razor should be sharp too but that shouldn´t need much more explaining. I am using the Venus Gilette Original razor (like forever) and that is all I need. Nothing fancy or super progressive at all.

For keeping my legs hydrated I always apply a nourishing lotion after shaving. You could also apply a body oil. The shimmer of a body oil creates a darker tan than you actually have. Love that.

Let´s move on to our feet…

I am using a pumice for my feet about twice a week always after I have taken a shower. I am really no foot person I think feet are ugly. Whether they are mine or others. This is the purpose of buying pretty shoes to cover most of your feet.

So after that I am applying foot lotion onto my heel (I only do this when I go to bed cause my feet get really slippery then).

My newest addition are these self-tanning wipes from Comodynes. I have ordered them last week and wanted to try them on the weekend but I somehow forgot it. So I managed to try them last week. The application is pretty easy. Just make sure your feet are exfoliated and smooth. Then apply the liquid inside the paper sheet evenly over your legs (or also arms whatever you like). It takes three full hours for the color to set in.

Happy International Lipstick Day….

since I am a lipstick ~~hoarder~~ lover and probably own 80 % of all excisting colors this is my day today. I really love wearing all my colors. Red (of course) for year round, orange in fall and summer, huge fan of neon pinks in the summer and dark purples for fall and winter.

I have done several posts about lipsticks. So here are some of my favorites I am using all the time. New colors and formulas but also some oldies but goodies.

I really love lipstick and if I had to choose two make-up products I couldn´t life without it would be mascara and lipstick.
