What we ate

Monday Left overs from our Sunday lunch at my inlaws.

TuesdayOne pot pasta – with maccaroni, mushrooms and chicken breast with a sauce made out of cream and spices.

WednesdayVeggie day with minestrone and grilled cheese.

ThursdayI made chicken noodle soup cause the weather has been so bad and it was so cool in the mornings, it called for soup

FridayWe had our tenth anniversary on Friday !!!!! so I got us some Sushi and we had a quiet lunch date. It was divine.

SaturdayI made the easiest and quickest chickpea salad for dinner. Just chickpeas, canned tuna and mozzarella cheese with some green pesto.

SundayWe had schitzel and potatoe salad. A favorite of everyone.

What I wore

I just love polka dots and denim. My most worn fabric and pattern these days.

What we did

The week started just right with a breakfast date with my bestie. We had a delicious breakfast and some girl talk and it was great as always.

My course to be a official Line Dance instructor started on Saturday. I have 2 more course days next weekend and then a little break until Fall and then I am picking it up again.

On Sunday my big girl and I went to Disney on Ice at the Olympic Park in Munich. Oh the drive there was hell. Looking for a parking space was really terrifying. I got the last one before the Olympic park shut down. The Disney on Ice was a great show. Not to long but also lots to look for the children. It wasn´t sold out at all and we could pick a better spot to sit.

They had a lot of merchandise and I came away with only one piece – a stuffed Elsa. It is for her birthday though so it´s fine. The show was a medley of many different Disney movies with the greatest songs like Arielle, Tangled, Moana, Stitch, Frozen and some more I really can not remember.

Misc

Friday was a special day for our big girl. The Kindergarten invited us to the Kid´s Coffee. All of the offered cakes have been baked by the Kindergarten kids and the big kids wore little aprons and brought us to our tables and served us our coffee, drinks and cake. It was the cutest thing to see them running around, being busy and taking orders. They even made the table decor by themselves.

It really was a week for the books. Gorgeous weather, no drama, cool day trips and overall so much joy. I have had a great week parenting wise and I also got so much done in terms of organizing, cleaning and purging. Weeks like this make you feel like you can conquer it all and then there are others too which we don´t want to talk about.

What we ate

MondayI always premake a dinner cause I have Line Dance on Mondays or we eat leftovers from Sunday dinner

TuesdayOn Tuesday the girls are mostly at my MIL so they have dinner there and I have a delicious girl lunch

WednesdayI made spinach dip (all the girl´s favorite) and salmon in the air fryer

ThursdayChicken and Rice day from our favorite Asian restaurant

FridayHomemade pizza – a great dinner option cause everyone can top their pizza with what they like

SaturdayWe had dinner at the zoo. Fries and pizza and curry sausage

SundayBrunch at my inlaws

What I wore

It was a very cool Spring week outfitwise. Gorgeous sunny weather and many colorful pieces to wear.

What we did

On Friday my big girl and I went to Munich for her birthday shopping and exploring trip. She was so happy and excited, it was the cutest thing to watch. After we got there we climbed the 14 !!!! floors of church St. Peter and has the best round view. I was also great that the weather was amazing. After that we decided to get a quick lunch and coffee break cause we both were totally out of breath. We had grilled cheese and panini for lunch. After that I had booked tickets for an elevator ride up the tower of city hall (or the castel like Emilia called it). Another beautiful look around and you could also spot the alps far away cause the sky was so blue. Then we finally hit the stores and after we did some damage had a delicious ice cream and little cake and coffee right at Marienplatz – the biggest place in Munich – and listening to street music and just watching the hustle and bustle of a big city.

On Saturday we went to the zoo in Straubing. We haven´t gone in a long time but our middle girl wanted to go and look at monkeys – she LOVES monkey – so we thought why not make a day of it. The weather was beautiful and warm and it really was the perfect day. The girls always behave so well when we are out and about.

What we did

On Friday my husband an I went out for an impromptu breakfast in the city. It was so sunny and warm we could sit outside in the morning.

Same day but in the afternoon we took the girls out for ice cream and bubble waffles.

On Saturday we went to the airport in Munich and spent the day at the visitor area. You can go into some old planes and also have fun at a huge playground area. The diner has great burger and we girls loved every minute we spent there. Really cool. Parking spots right in front of the entrance. Free for everyone (except foood and 1 Euro for the viewing platform).

Weekly Review #9…

The temperatures have finally increased and we managed to get out on the weekend and spend some time together as a family. My mood is instantly better when the weather is mild and sunny. I definitely have to get a place somewhere to spend the Winter months, preferrably in Italy. Can not take this awful Winter weather anymore.

Weekly Review

What we ate

MondaySalmon I made in the air fryer (my favorite way to cook it) and steamed cabbage with parmesan cheese

TuesdayStuffed peppers with meat and cheese. I filled the red peppers with minced meat mixed with cheese and cooked them in the oven. Served with rice and everyone loved it.

WednesdayA full day for me so I only made the girls some butter noodles and had a girl dinner for myself.

ThursdayIf it hasn´t appeared until now you might guess it – chicken and rice from our favorite Asian restaurant. And of course Spring rolls!!!

FridayDinner has been a traditional Austrian Kaiserschmarrn and the girls ate chicken and fries – their favorite.

SaturdayI was out all day for a first aid course so I didn´t cook anything and my family just made different snacks for dinner. In Germany we call it Abendbrot.

SundayWe ate at an Italian restaurant in Berching and I had a pizza tonno which was very delicious by the way. Leftovers did not exist.

What I wore

The first real week of Spring and it definitely shows in my outfits.

What we did

It was a good week in terms of day trips. We managed to get out twice. On Friday and Sunday – this is very rare and I loved it.

It was a very cool week. My husband and I have been out for a lunch date in the middle of the week and we really enjoyed it. It was one hour and a half but we could talk without disturbance and enjoyed each others company. Doesn´t always have to be in the evenings to be special.

On Friday we got the girls early from Kindergarten and went on a little day trip. One of our favorite spots is the „Erlebnisholzkugel“ in Schwandorf. It is about 50 minutes away from our home and the girls have loved it ever since. Lots of climbing and balancing stuff and good food.

On Sunday we visited a new to us town called Berching. It was a charming little medieval city a lot like Rothenburg, but much smaller. We wandered around ready to explore and found so many pretty old houses and archways. On the outer side of the city wall we found a big and very cool playground for the girls and later on we went to an Italian restaurant and where also able to sit and eat outside. Live is so much better when you can make use of all the spaces.

Misc

The flowers finally start to bloom and hope rest of nature will follow. It is still so brown and naked out there.

We had a follow up pediatrician appointment this week and everything is fine but being at the doctors office with two little one is not for the faint of hearts. Also how amazing is this leopard pant/teddy vest outfit!!! I just love dressing up my little girl.
