What we ate

Not a very creative week as we maily ate leftovers simply because there is no need in throwing away good food from the day before.

MondayLeftovers from Sunday´s lunch with my inlaws and Mc Donald´s for lunch after the indoor climbing place. I love the chicken Ceasar wrap. The dressing is really good.

TuesdayI made fried rice with shrimp and vegetables and egg and to my surprise everyone loved it

WednesdayButter noodles it was cause I had no time to cook. Not my nor the girl´s day. We all had been in a bad mood

ThursdayI make this chickpea tuna salad on a frequent base. I really love the taste of it altogether and it is filling as well

FridayWe had leftover pizza from the birthday party

SaturdayStill leftover cake and pizza from the kids birthday party

SundayEaster brunch and took home many leftovers and ate them at home for dinner

What I wore

Easter Sunday had the perfect Summer weather. So glad cause I did´t want to wear my white and lavender Easter look in the cold rain.

What we did

Since the girls have been on Easter break I was looking for activities to do with all the girls. There is a climbing indoor playground nearby which is a lot better than a usual indoor playground. The girls loved it and climbed and slided for two solid hours. After that we went to McDonalds for lunch.

On Wednesday the weather was really bad and the girls did not know what to do with themselves so we went out for ice cream to a nearby Italian café.

Thursday we drove to Abensberg to the Easter market. The area was really cool decorated with lots of Easter eggs and bunnies and the girls loved the round-about.

On Friday it was my big girl´s kids birthday party. I had 6 girls over as guests plus my 3. Quite a lot going on but they all behaved really well and had fun coloring and looking for little treasures in the sand box. As you can see the theme has been mermaid and I loved everything about the decor. So fun putting this up.

On Saturday it was my dad´s birthday and the whole family went out for lunch to Parzefall in Regensburg-Burgweinting. I had the beef stew with dumplings and the others the meat trio and it was sensational. Every single category of every dish was amazing. Definitely going there again soon.

Easter Sunday after church we went to my inlaws house for Easter brunch. All of my husbands family was there and we had a rich meal in food and conversation. The girls looked for their Easter baskets and played outside. The weather couldn´t been better. All in all a very happy and satisfying day.

Misc

I did not have much of  a color concept for this years Easter outfits but immediately knew that those purple flower dresses would be amazing. How adorable is the caridgan with the yellow and purple knitted flowers !!!

Weekly Review

It was our big girl´s 6th birthday this week and maybe you can guess the theme? If you said Mermaid you guessed right;) I am posting a full review of the whole decor and our table decor and also the guest bags next week. How gorgeous is this cake. I think I say it every time but this was the prettiest cake we have ever had.

What we ate

MondaySunday leftovers of course

TuesdayPasta with meat sauce. You can never go wrong with this one. Everyone in our house loves it and I always make extra so we can have some leftovers for lunch.

WednesdayMy husband was away for soccer this evening so I made myself some excellent girl dinner.

ThursdayI made pulled beef on a random Thursday and it was so delicious. The smell when you come home and the pulled beef cooks in the CrockPot. The anticipation. So good.

FridayWe had Indian food. Always a family favorite. Everyone loves a hearty sauce and chicken and rice. Chicken Tikka Masalla is my personal go-to. You can never go wrong with it no matter what country you are in.

SaturdayI was away doing my instructor so I had some chickpea salad with me (chickpeas, tuna, mozarella cheese, olive oil and some spices).

SundayLunch at my inlaws. We had Pizza delivered. I got one with fresh ham and parmesan cheese and rocket.

What I wore

From ballet flats to cowboy boots and from denim jackets to trenchcoats, we had everything this week. Weatherwise as well – from sun over rain to snow and hail.

What we did

We had our playgroup Easter brunch on Thursday. Everyone brought a little something so we had an amazing buffet and the little kids searched their crafted Easter baskets.

I had day 3 and 4 of my Line Dance instructor on Saturday and Sunday, which means I am officially done with part 1. Part 2 and 3 will follow in the Fall.

Misc

I definitely think that this Summer will be as bad as the last one. I just have a really bad feeling cause Spring time has been the same cool and rainy months as the year prior. I have looked into a summer vacation in Croatia cause I can not spend another whole 6 weeks inside with kids that don´t know what to do and me neither.

The week ahead is going to be a very stressful one. The girls are home on Easter break and I have the kid´s birthday party on Friday and we also have Easter brunch at my inlaws on Sunday and our own brunch on Monday.

What we ate

Monday Left overs from our Sunday lunch at my inlaws.

TuesdayOne pot pasta – with maccaroni, mushrooms and chicken breast with a sauce made out of cream and spices.

WednesdayVeggie day with minestrone and grilled cheese.

ThursdayI made chicken noodle soup cause the weather has been so bad and it was so cool in the mornings, it called for soup

FridayWe had our tenth anniversary on Friday !!!!! so I got us some Sushi and we had a quiet lunch date. It was divine.

SaturdayI made the easiest and quickest chickpea salad for dinner. Just chickpeas, canned tuna and mozzarella cheese with some green pesto.

SundayWe had schitzel and potatoe salad. A favorite of everyone.

What I wore

I just love polka dots and denim. My most worn fabric and pattern these days.

What we did

The week started just right with a breakfast date with my bestie. We had a delicious breakfast and some girl talk and it was great as always.

My course to be a official Line Dance instructor started on Saturday. I have 2 more course days next weekend and then a little break until Fall and then I am picking it up again.

On Sunday my big girl and I went to Disney on Ice at the Olympic Park in Munich. Oh the drive there was hell. Looking for a parking space was really terrifying. I got the last one before the Olympic park shut down. The Disney on Ice was a great show. Not to long but also lots to look for the children. It wasn´t sold out at all and we could pick a better spot to sit.

They had a lot of merchandise and I came away with only one piece – a stuffed Elsa. It is for her birthday though so it´s fine. The show was a medley of many different Disney movies with the greatest songs like Arielle, Tangled, Moana, Stitch, Frozen and some more I really can not remember.

Misc

Friday was a special day for our big girl. The Kindergarten invited us to the Kid´s Coffee. All of the offered cakes have been baked by the Kindergarten kids and the big kids wore little aprons and brought us to our tables and served us our coffee, drinks and cake. It was the cutest thing to see them running around, being busy and taking orders. They even made the table decor by themselves.

It really was a week for the books. Gorgeous weather, no drama, cool day trips and overall so much joy. I have had a great week parenting wise and I also got so much done in terms of organizing, cleaning and purging. Weeks like this make you feel like you can conquer it all and then there are others too which we don´t want to talk about.

What we ate

MondayI always premake a dinner cause I have Line Dance on Mondays or we eat leftovers from Sunday dinner

TuesdayOn Tuesday the girls are mostly at my MIL so they have dinner there and I have a delicious girl lunch

WednesdayI made spinach dip (all the girl´s favorite) and salmon in the air fryer

ThursdayChicken and Rice day from our favorite Asian restaurant

FridayHomemade pizza – a great dinner option cause everyone can top their pizza with what they like

SaturdayWe had dinner at the zoo. Fries and pizza and curry sausage

SundayBrunch at my inlaws

What I wore

It was a very cool Spring week outfitwise. Gorgeous sunny weather and many colorful pieces to wear.

What we did

On Friday my big girl and I went to Munich for her birthday shopping and exploring trip. She was so happy and excited, it was the cutest thing to watch. After we got there we climbed the 14 !!!! floors of church St. Peter and has the best round view. I was also great that the weather was amazing. After that we decided to get a quick lunch and coffee break cause we both were totally out of breath. We had grilled cheese and panini for lunch. After that I had booked tickets for an elevator ride up the tower of city hall (or the castel like Emilia called it). Another beautiful look around and you could also spot the alps far away cause the sky was so blue. Then we finally hit the stores and after we did some damage had a delicious ice cream and little cake and coffee right at Marienplatz – the biggest place in Munich – and listening to street music and just watching the hustle and bustle of a big city.

On Saturday we went to the zoo in Straubing. We haven´t gone in a long time but our middle girl wanted to go and look at monkeys – she LOVES monkey – so we thought why not make a day of it. The weather was beautiful and warm and it really was the perfect day. The girls always behave so well when we are out and about.
