Summer came back very unexpectedly so I extended my #closetchallenge into another month cause also I would like to wear all things Fall it is just too hot but that doesn´t mean that I didn´t shot some pre-fall looks for you guys.
There had been a few cool days inbetween and I took advantage of that and styled some pre-fall / transitioning into Fall looks.
Leopard print seems to be always more present in Fall and Winter time and so I can not wait to wear all of my beloved pieces again.
So for this look I added a comfortable leopard print cardigan to my dress so it would be the perfect look for a cool Fall day or Fall date night.
A pair of sling pumps are a huge favorite of mine and they elevate every look. Super easy to dress up your outfit
After our weekend away we didn´t do much today. I mainly played with my daughter cause I missed her so much.
I know it is September already but in many places it is still sunny and warm and it´s also pretty nice around here too. So if you aren´t in total Fall mood already, maybe you can find one or two of our Summer activities you’ll want to try.
Summer Activities to try
Visit the swimming pool // We went there countless times and Emilia always had so much fun. She loves the water and being outside plus we always have fries for lunch when we are swimming.
Go out for drinks // Take on those warm Summer nights and go out to town and treat yourself for a cool delicious drink. It will be cold and dark soon enough.
Visit a theme parc // We went to Pullman City – a western themed little city where you can do as much as possible Wild West things. Literally everything fits seamlessly together. We went panning for „gold“, watching a horse show and had a cowboy lunch in a real saloon. Emilia enjoyed it very much cause there was so much to see for her.
Visit a corn maze // I have had this on my bucket list for years and we finally made it. It was a hot day and I would not recommend going without a hat or sunscreen but other than that is was perfectly fine. The corn is really thick and high and we literally had no idea where we were most of the time.
Visit a farm // We actually went there on Wednesday with all of the moms from our playgroup. It was so much fun for the children to run around and see actual cows and the coolest thing about it has been the café right above the stables.
Try water sports // I wanted to go stand-up paddling for about 6 years now and somehow never thought about in the Summer months but this year my husband and I just went and we had a blast. It was so much fun. We did very well and paddled pretty good at the end. Also I only fell in once.
Take a day trip to another city // Choose a city nearby and just go there for the day exploring. We went to the Tegernsee and it looked so much libe the ocean there we instantly felt like on vacation.
Spend a weekend away // We went away for a weekend of family fun to the Bavarian Forest and it was great. A nice change cause we haven´t been away for quite some time and Emilia saw and experienced new things.
Spruce up your garden and stay home // If you are planning on going nowhere how about adding some great stuff for your kids to your garden like a sand box, a kids pool or a splash pad and a swing. You can spend weeks there entertaining them cause they won´t get tired or at least Emilia doesn´t. She loves her sand box and can spend hours in there.
Go to the zoo // Emilia loves all kinds of animals and this was the perfect way to show her all the animals from her books in real life. She was most interested in the meerkats.
Do cultural things // Only about 40 minutes away there is a templecomplexinspiredby all of thetemplesin Nepal. Beautifulgardensand new culturalfactsto learn about the country and the monks are behind every corner.
Some other things we didn´t do but would be fun I guess:
Climbing forest, go on vacation, parasailing, camping,
I am in absolute and total Fall mood around here (going to start decorate soon) but I also know that many of you are still travelling or have plans for Summer travel so I wanted to share some of my absolute favorite travel cases I have used for years and hopefully are going to use years to come.
There is one for every type of traveller whether you are chaotic or super organized. In my opinion always knowing where everything is in your suit case saves time and anger. Trust me!!
Best of make-up / toiletry bags…
The Chaotic Make-Up Bag – This is a drawstring make-up bag from the Flat Lay Co. and the idea behind it is marvellous. You just throw all of your make-up in it together and pull on the string and all of your products are packed and ready to go. This saves a lot of time and you know where everything is at all times but it isn´t the best method to find things quick. Although all of the pattern the company offers are super cute which is very intruiging. You can get palm print, leopard print, little lightnings, gingham, velvet, satin – you get it right?! Most of them are to find on Asos.
The Clear Make-Up Bag – If you want to have an overview at all times and know exactly where the one thing is you are searching for even before you open the zipper this is the perfect item for you. Mine is from Guess but I also have the Luxe Beauty Case from the Styled Collection which is also clear and love them both.
The Two-Storey Vanity Case – It is an organization loving gals dream. It has two stories which means two big compartments. I got this from River Island years ago and it holds so much make-up – perfect for a longer trip. The top compartment is great for long, flat items to lay like lip liner, brushes, concealer, mascara and in the bottom compartment can things be stored like foundation, powder, your face and eye cream pods.
The most hyped make-up bag – I have gotten this one a few years ago, let´s say about three or four and it was the most hyped make-up bag I have ever seen. Every blogger and her mother was promoting it and it has been a top seller for many of us for month and to be honest I can see why. I has a very clean but chic look, it is very sturdy, has many great compartments inside you can customize for you own needs and is under 25 Euro. I mean there isn´t much more to say in my opinion. Whether you get this one for yourself or you gift it a friend/family member there will be no regret. It is sold on amazon and the exact one I have is sold here.
The personlized train case – Where are all my monogram friends at!! I got this adorable train case customized from etsy for our honeymoon and have used it a ton ever since. Personally a monogramed piece is the best thing you can get and I know there are two sides. You either love it or hate it right but if you are ever looking for a special piece etsy is the place to be.
The space-saving make-up bag– It really is a huge space saver when you have booked a small room. You can literally hang it anywhere and it won´t take up closet space, luggage space or counter space while you are staying at your destination and it can also be folded and put back into your weekender / suit case as well but in my experience it doesn´t hold a lot. I have way to many things with me which wouldn´t fit in there make-up wise BUT it would be a great bag for shower gels, soaps, razor etc. cause you could hang it on the opposite side of your shower and have access to everything you could possibly need in there. I got it from amazon (prime available as well as lots of different colors).
One day until the official beginning of Fall and I can´t wait to share all of the planned content I have for you. Also might include some cute Halloween costumes for mom and daughter.
But let´s talk about this super cool and easy Fall look first. I have worn this on repeat and still can´t get enough of it.
