Good morning guys,
(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)
although the trend color of the year 2018 was/is ultra violet (has anyone ever worn this color more than once this year and does a purple lipstick also count?) my definite winner for this year of fashion is mustard. I absolutely adore the rich shade of yelllow and have several pieces. In my opinion this is one of all the yellow´s which matches the most skin tones and really goes with a lot of colors.

I personally love wearing it with black to let the color pop since the contrast is so high or with a darker brown for that American Hustle color palette of rich browns, yellows and creme shades.
If you are reading my blog regularly you might know that I love me a great midi length piece at any time and this dress is no exception.  Absolutely love the playfulness of the ruffle and stripe detailing. I paired it with a black cardigan and a slim waist belt to set some focus with a golden double circle belt.

Overknees where the perfect addition to this look cause since they diappear under the dress it makes your legs look much longer.

This whole look would be totally office appropriate. The dress is long enough, the heels aren´t to high and the colors are bright but not too much.

Do you have any preferred colors? Since red is my staple color and burgundy was my absolute last years favorite I totally love mustard this year.
Thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.

Hi guys
(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)
and happy Wednesday. The half of the week is through today and I am in full planning mode over here for our holiday party on Friday. I have completed my table decor and also my menu so I just have to go grocery shopping and do all the cooking/prepping on Friday.

But let´s have a closer look at this adorable dress. Animal prints are super trendy (probably more than ever) and I have always loved them. I do have quite the variety in my closet.

A black and white dress is always a great option you can never go wrong with. It is a timeless and classic color combination that works with 99 % of all other colors. And a knit dress is just so comfy. I paired this Esmara leopard print dress with a simple black pair of tights and black patent pumps. To add some color I ditched my black winter jacket and went with a pink one instead. From time to time I really enjoy wearing an all black and white look. This dress would also be such a nice addition to your workwear closet. Just add a blazer jacket and you are good to got.

Thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.

How I decorated our Christmas tree + tips for a versatile decor…

….

Hello my Christmas loving friends,
(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)
my tree has been up for about two weeks now (usually I didn´t want to set it up before the last week of November but I just can´help it) and I am loving it more every second I look at it.

We went a little aside from traditional this year and got a fashionable tree including pink, blush and black ornaments. To be honest I had most of the ornametns for years now and didn´t like them against the backdrop of a complete green tree cause the black got really lost but now we have a flocked white tree which make it stand right out and look so beautiful.

Since I love to decorate with different ornaments and also got a whole bunch of different ones I am breaking it down below for you.

Classic ornaments:
The pink, blush and black ornaments are our classic shaped ornaments on the tree. I got them in a medium and large size to mix and match as I like. I like different size ornaments a lot, also matte and glossy are great to get add texture and deepth to your tree.

Funny ornaments:
I consider a dougnut or a pink flamingo with a hat as a funny ornament. They really make the tree look special. We also had some funny ornaments last year like a soccer ball, some owls and a pair of silver high heels.

Monogrammed ornaments:
I actually stumbled across these as I was on the search for some pink ornaments and immediately loved them. Who wouldn´t want to have a monogrammed ornament on his tree. Never seen them in one of my favorite store before but so pretty. I also love the retro font of the letter and the bow on top of it. Got them from Nanu Nana (only in stores).

Garlands:
I decided to to with a black garland rather than a pink one because first of all I could´t find the matching shade and second of all I didn´t wanted to create a pink overload so I went with this dark grey/black metallic shimmery garland. I cut it into short pieces to drape it around several branches. In my opinion I think it turned out very nice and is another way to decorate your tree.
Ribbons:
I didn´t do any ribbons this year. First of all I couldn´t find any I liked or matched the color theme and second of all I was pretty satisfied with my metallic shining garland. But I had silver ribbons on last years tree and no garlands so I guess the fun lies in the difference (view the post here).

Overal I think unusual and various ornaments are the key to set oneself apart from other trees. It doesn´t matter if you have a color theme or just decorate with ornaments you got over the years or all the favorites you found in a store. In the end it only counts if you love your tree and it makes your home feel cozy and festive.

Do you have a color theme to decorate with or do you mix and match as you like?
I would love to know.

Thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.

Christmas Gift Guide – Beauty Addict….

….
Hello friends,
(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)
second gift guide of the season is up. If you are having a friend, a collegue, a sister or a mother who is absolutely beauty obsessed be sure to check out my beauty guide. There is something for eveybody at every price point. Whether the gifted person is a pro and only longs for the extraordinary pieces or a beginner who starts to stock up on the basics. This gift guide has got you covered.

Urban Decay Naked Palette // This one is a real classic and should be in every beauty lovers vanity case. The colors are super versatile for nude looks but also for dark and enchanting smokey eye looks.

Revlon One Step Volumizer Hair Dryer // I have not tried it yet but heard the best things about it. Creates super soft and textured hair. Dries very reliable.

Clarisonic Mia face brush // I am including the Clarisonic face brush every year into a beauty gift guide because it is a real must-have piece for a beauty lover. And since it is more on the pricier side I would recommend it to be gifted to you.

Jade Facial Roller // The beauty trend piece since the beginning of the year. I recently got mine (I know I am a little late but I thought I didn´t need one at all cause of the ice roller I have and the microneedling tool I have but this one has a total different meaning). I use it to roll in my eye cream or hyaluronic acid and also to get the morning puffiness out of my face.

Dyson Airwrap Complete Styler // I have only heard awesome things about it and saw how it works by myself at a beauty trade show I attended in October. I am absolutely impressed and I think it really is worth its money cause of all the different tools and the non-existent hair damage.

The Balm Meet Matte Hughes mini liquid lipstick set // I ordered this set way back in June or July cause I was on the hunt for “THE” color I wanted for my wedding makeup so badly and everything I tried just failed. But if we don´t try new things we never know what´s good or not right?? And this set is awesome. Everyone of the five colors is just beautiful and they dry very nice without drying out your lips. They stay on for so so many hours. And they smell like peppermint. Wasn´t quite sure if I liked that but I got used to it and now I don´t even notice it anymore.

LED Stand Up Makeup Mirror // An absolute necessity for every makeup loving gal. The LED light helps you to see all the things you don´t with normal lighting and also helps to apply your makeup evenly.

Ted Baker bow makeup bag // A really cute addition for your makeup pouch collection and since it is made of rubber it doesn´t get stains easily.

River Island vanity case // I have found this two-story vanity case two years ago and I am still obsessed. It is the perfect (and I mean it) case to travel with. The upper compartment is perfect for all of your brushes, lip liner, mascara, eyeliner and lipsticks and the lower compartment (the height is a litte more) is perfect for your face creams, mini shampoo´s and conditoner and your microneedling tool, jade roller or razor. I really couldn´t travel without it anymore and the price of under 50 € is awesome. They also come out with new designs every year.

Sigma Beauty essential brush kit // Practically a basic kit of all the brushes you need for your daily makeup and more. The Sigma brushes are made of high quality material and last a very long time. They are my favorite and a makeup lover´s dream.

Stocking Stuffer Ideas:

Wet Brush // I use it to brush my wet hair after getting out of the shower and it goes through pretty smooth without hurting at all.

The Original Beauty Blender // If you know someone applying her makeup with a makeup sponge this would be a nice treat for her since the real brand is a lot more pricier than all of the dupes out there but the quality and the longevity is much better.

Invisibobble scrunchie // Didn´t know that they had srunchies until I started researching items for this gift guide and I think it is the best of both worlds. The elastic under the fabric is a Invisibobble hair tie to keep your hair safe and scrunchies are super trendy right now (also ordered myself the leopard print and black one).

Anthropologie Knotted Headband // Perfect hair addition for holiday festivites or any other extravaganza.

MAC lip duo Ruby Woo // The perfect Chrismas and year round red shade.

Morrocan Oil Hair Treatment // The best hair oil ever.

I hope I could give you some inspiration for a little something for the beauty lover in your life.

Thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.
