Hi guys and happy Food Friday,
(post contains affiliate links / Werbung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links)
with the beginning of June the strawberry season has finally started too. I don´t know what it is about this delicious little berry but whether you are making juice, cake or jam out of it or you are eating them pure they are so so good.

And the smell guys. Sometimes I wish I could capture the smell for you. The strawberry field smelled so sweet!!!

Since I am not a real fruit lover I do have my exceptions when it comes to strawberries (or raspberries, pineapples or melons).

We picked about 8 pounds so the first thing I did when I got home was making dough for a strawberry pie (and the leftover strawberries where cut for jam but this recipe is coming next week then).

Here are the ingredients:

for the dough
3 cups of flour
2 tablespoons of baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup sugar
1 1/3 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract or paste
3/4 cup butter not melted

– mix the ingredients together until your are having a sticky dough
– then put some flour onto a clean area in your kitchen
– knead the dough with your hands until everything is combined just fine

-take a rolling pin and roll out dough evenly
– take a cup in the size you like and cut out round pieces

– I made all the little dough pieces below from one dough so this really is enough
– let them cool down for about 15 minutes
– spread a mixture of confectioners sugar and heavy cream on top and bake for about 20 minutes by 160° degrees

for the strawberries:
– 750 gramms of strawberries
– 2 spoons of sugar

– marinade the strawberries with the sugar and let them rest

for the heavy cream
– take as much heavy cream as you like and whip it until its really solid
(you can make the test by flipping your bowl – if it doesn´t come out the consistency is great (but be careful or you are producing quite the mess)

Now head to your nearest strawberry field and get your fix for the weekend.

Thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.

#travelthursday – packing for Italy – gadgets, tips and tricks….

Mosiso notebook case amazon / Belin MixIt metallic AUX cable amazon / Poweradd pilot powerbank amazon / passport Holder Sass & Belle amazon / nylon micro USB charge cable amazon / jewelry case amazon / similar travel case for paperworks amazon /

….

Hi guys,
(post contains affliliate links / Werbung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate links)
I am finally packing for Italy. It´s like I have been waiting for this vacation like forever. With all the wedding planning and work besides I am really needing some days at the pool. Eating pasta, drinking wine and enjoying the sun. Hopefully I am able to read a book or two I packed.

I am always on the hunt for smart travel gadgets (and of course cute ones) so by the time we book a vacation I start on researching what other bloggers got and also what for example amazon recommends.
So I am back for packing this year with the Suit Suit Caretta in color Pink Lady in size 75 cm (not picutred). And the matching packing cube set in pink dust cause I really hate when panties, socks or my bikinis flying around in the suitcase. The middle one would also be perfect for storing your belts.

Let´s move on to antoher really cute thing I got. A passport case from Sass & Belle in a vintage map print. In fact I wouldn´t need my passport for this trip cause we are travelling inside the EU and my ID card would be enough but let´s be honest – how cute is this. I got mine from amazon but Asos also carries it.

I always put my jewelry in a different and safe case cause I hate when all the pieces get lost or tangle up. A few weeks ago I found this adorable golden (seems like I have a thing for gold here) jewelry case for on the go. It seems kind of small but it works for me.
It is from Songmics. They sell various stuff on amazon and I really like their brand. So far I have gotten an earring rack, a clothes rail a also a small bench which acts like a side table. They have the best acrylic containers for jewelry and make-up and so much more. Totally recommend their stuff.

Tech pieces can be really tricky for me cause I want them to look cute but that doesn´t always mean that they are functional or great quality but I think I did pretty well this time.

The orange travel case is from London. I have seen it at a little store down at the uber. In my opinion it is very practical when you have a case where you can store all of your paperwork like hotel reservations, receipts or tax forms. Most of the stuff is saved on our phones but I really prefer having a piece of paper in my hand. Since I don´t know where I got it I have listed a similar option.

Belkin MixIt metallic AUX cable
We are going by car and we have been to Italy a few times before. Since you are passing two countries and so many regions you have to switch your radio stations a few times and that is so annyoing. This is the reason why we got an AUX cable this time. Now we are able to listen to our Spotify playlists and sing along.
Poweradd Pilot powerbank in color gold

This probably is self explanatory. I can´t change my phone in the car cause I would need another adapter so I got a matching powerbank to keep my phone fully loaded. Also great if you are taking day trips.
nylon micor USB charge cable
2 pieces in the set in color gold
I was tired of the plastic cords breaking so I got nylon cables. They are also 2 metres long so can plug them in easily and don´t have to worry about stepping on your phone while it charges on the floor.

Mosiso notebook case
in color blush
When we are just a few days away I am usually not taking my notebook whith me cause I can easily plan posts upfront and don´t have a problem. But this time we are staying a complete week and I want to post looks from Lake Garda as new as possible.

Phew this was a long post but at least I have covered all my important travel stuff. There is going to be a second post how I pack my beauty products next week. Be sure to check back.

Thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.

Hi guys,
(post contains affiliate links / Werbung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links)
happy Hump Day you all. There are only two more days left until the weekend and then there is only one week left until we are leaving for Lake Garda. I can´t even express how happy I am about that.

We are going to relax and unwind and shop and eat lots of pizza. Gimme all the carbs!

But there are lots of awesome places to see and so much to do so I am definitely going to give you a closer look into the big cities we visit and also best Italian shops and activities.

I am sharing this little outift with you today. This could easily work as a vacation look too since it is easy breezy, comfortable and versatile.

The mules are perfect for walking long distance while exploring a new city or shopping at one of Italy´s adorable markets.

A front buttned skirt is not new but I still love them. I have been eyeing with the white version already and I am definitely get a corderoy version for Winter.

The bag is one of my favorites. I finally got a pink pompom tote from Asos for a reasonable price. But you could easily make one your own. Just have a look at the DIY I posted yesterday.

Thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.

DIY – pompom tote….

straw tote amazon / pompoms Etsy / hot glue gun amazon

….

Hi guys

(post contains affiliate links / Werbung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links)
there aren´t a lot of things I like to make by my own but as I have seen this super cute straw totes all over Shopbob and Nordstrom I wanted one of them for Summer so badly. But they are expensive.

In fact I don´t want to pay 200 to 300 Euros for those kind of bags so I searched the Internet and I decided to make one by myself. You just need two things. The straw tote and the pompoms. The tote is from amazon. You can find one here, here and here and the pompoms are from Etsy. They are available in every color and every size.

First I wanted them to sew onto the bag but since I am DIYing for my wedding I decided to use my hot glue gun and friends this worked out great.

This really is super easy.

Step 1
Get your straw tote. Size, shape, color – what ever you prefer.

Step 2
Get your pompoms. Etsy has such a wide range on pompoms. At most stores you can choose colors or get a mix if you prefer that.

Step 3
Get your glue gun and let it heat up.

Step 4
In the meantime place your pompoms as you like them.

Step 5
Glue them onto your straw bag and let the glue dry.

Et voilà. You got your personalized bag no one else is carrying around.

Do you like DIY´s or do you prefer buying items?

Thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.
