DIY – pompom tote….

straw tote amazon / pompoms Etsy / hot glue gun amazon

….

Hi guys

(post contains affiliate links / Werbung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links)
there aren´t a lot of things I like to make by my own but as I have seen this super cute straw totes all over Shopbob and Nordstrom I wanted one of them for Summer so badly. But they are expensive.

In fact I don´t want to pay 200 to 300 Euros for those kind of bags so I searched the Internet and I decided to make one by myself. You just need two things. The straw tote and the pompoms. The tote is from amazon. You can find one here, here and here and the pompoms are from Etsy. They are available in every color and every size.

First I wanted them to sew onto the bag but since I am DIYing for my wedding I decided to use my hot glue gun and friends this worked out great.

This really is super easy.

Step 1
Get your straw tote. Size, shape, color – what ever you prefer.

Step 2
Get your pompoms. Etsy has such a wide range on pompoms. At most stores you can choose colors or get a mix if you prefer that.

Step 3
Get your glue gun and let it heat up.

Step 4
In the meantime place your pompoms as you like them.

Step 5
Glue them onto your straw bag and let the glue dry.

Et voilà. You got your personalized bag no one else is carrying around.

Do you like DIY´s or do you prefer buying items?

Thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.

Wedding Wednesday – DIY rustic wind lights for a fall wedding….

jute edging amazon / wind lights nanu nana small and large / leaves nanu nana / hot glue gun amazon / sand Depot /

….

Hi guys and happy hump day,
(post contains affiliate links / Werbung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links)
the first half of the umcomfortable work week is over (although I stayed at home with a cold) and the weather is also getting better (after quite some thunderstorms and rain) so I have a lot of positivity going on here.

I am posting another Wedding Wednesday article today. Since we are going to do some of the decoration by ourselves – cause I couldn´t find anyting near my visions – I wanted to share this super easy DIY with you guys.

You might know that we are going to get married in the middle of September so I wanted a full fall themed wedding. I love fall. It is my favorite season and of course I wanted to get married during this time.

I have lots of orange, burgundy and pumpkins incorporated into the table decoration, the wedding cake and the flowers.

The main pieces you will need for this DIY are the windlights, candles, sand, the edging (I took 10 metres in jute with a white lace trim) and the leaves and of course a hot glue gun.

For glueing everything together I grabbed Simone, Florian´s sister and also a bridesmaid and we had a fun Friday afternoon with lots of glue eveywhere. This isn´t as easy as it seems.

But it worked and it is super easy. First of all I marked the glasses so that the edging would be in the same hight on evey wind light. Therefore I got a yellow removable overhead marker. Worked really good. After marking the glasses I cute the edging in the size we needed it. I have two types of glasses so there had to be longer and shorter bands of jute.

Then we started glueing. I have to admit I have never done anything with hot glue and I am also not very crafty so this was quite the challenge but I think it turned out very well. I really like them.

To make sure everybody gets the fall theme we also had some leaves in orange and burgundy and glued one onto each wind light.

The candles for the arrangements are all burgundy cause I just love this deep and rich fall color a lot.

I think they turned out pretty well and will hopefully look pretty on the dining tables.

Thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.

Wedding Wednesday – what to put into the bridesmaids boxes….

Will you be my bridesmaid cards My bridal shower / box Nanu Nana / excelsior amazon / pink sheets amazon / bridesmaids gown Asos / Yankee Candle Wedding Day amazon / No Ops pouches Douglas / engraved champagne glasses amazon / Freixenet rose mini amazon / Lindt pralines amazon

….

Hi guys,

you all know by now that we are getting MARRIED and it is still so unreal to me. A huge factor and help every bride are the bridesmaids. Whether you have 1 or 20 bridesmaids they are supposed to help you, to give you advice and to stand by your side when it comes to deciding elementary wedding questions.

I have three bridesmaids. My two best friends I have known for several years now and Florian´s sister who has also become such a good and close friend.

I made a package for each of them going along with a “Will you be my bridesmaid?” card I have found at the My Bridal Shower internet shop.

I got the boxes (only available in stores) in creme in the largest size they had from nanu-nana. A store with decoration items you can also find online. I stuffed the boxes with excelsior. Not the normal one for moving. I got a way softer material so it wouldn´t scratch a thing. To cover everything before the cap of the box was coming on top I got this pink tissue also from amazon – matched the theme pretty well.

But let´s get to the goodies. I got a personalized champagne glass for each of them with has their name engraved. Of course I had to add some bubbly too, cause how bad would be an empty glass? To round up the fabulous taste of the Freixenet rose champagne I also got small boxes with all the classic chocolate pralines from Lindt I enjoy so much. They also came in a gorgeous matching pink shade.

Why not gifting a good smelling box? I figured the easiest way to pull that off would be by adding a Yankee Candle since the fragrances are insane intense and this small candle really is enough for the size of the box. Also it says Wedding Day and I already do have the big jar of it.

The pink bridesmaid gowns had to be a part of the box and maybe they are also the main part but since I got myself a white bride robe I wanted to get my bridesmaids the matching pink ones. We can all wear them while getting ready.

And last but not least is the cutest thing I have seen in such a long time. I also had this product in my a monthly favorites post many month ago. A tiny beauty bag from NoOps. These are just the cutest and you would be surprised as much as you would be impressed how much different stuff this little case holds (a headband, 4 bobby pins, a nailfile, clear nail polish, three towelettes, a lip balm, blotting papers, tooth sticks, make-up remover wipes, a mini sewing set and two buttons). Unbelievable right!!!!
What did you gift your bridesmaids and would you have any other ideas ?
Thanks for stopping by.
Take care. See you.

Do it yourself christmas presents – Coconut Vanilla Bodyscrub….

Village Candle Coffee Bean amazon – the best smelling candle ever!! / glas vessel amazon / paperbag similar nanu nana / paper tags nanu nana
pullover H&M / earrings H&M last year but this set is really cute

….
Hi guys,

(post contains affiliate links / Werbung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links)
I made these for last years Christmas and they where a total hit so I wanted to share the “recipe” with you.

This is my recipe for an homemade, organic and in fact totally eatable – I tried that – body scrub.

I
made some for the women in our families as a little present to the
usual ones we got. But this doesn´t have to be a Christmas present – you
can make this and gift this year round. Just take other tags and paper
bags for the pots.

 So
this is really easy, all you need is coconut oil, brown sugar and some
vanilla extract – all depending on how much you want to make. Take two
cups of coconut oil, two cups of sugar and one tablespoon of vanilla
extract. You can double as much as needed. Stir until the mixture is smooth and fill it into the glass vessels.

That´s it. Super easy right. You can personalize it as much as you want by different bags or tags or stickers.

Have a nice weekend. Thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.
