Festive Mocktail – Cranberry Grapefruit Spritzer…

….

Happy Hump Day ladies,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate LInks-not sponsored)

Christmas festivities are right around the corner and in today´s post I wanted to share this quick and easy but good looking mocktail with you. I made it a mocktail cause this way everyone can have a sip but you could easily add some champagne or vodka if you like.

So for the ingredients this is what I used:

– cranberry juice

– grapefruit juice

– sparkling water

– pomegranate seeds

– crushed ice

– alkohol if needed

All I did was mix the two juices and the water in equal parts and put crushed ice into the glasses. Then I poured in the mixture and added pomegranate seeds on top. Et voilá it looks super cute. You could also add some greenery like rosemary if desired.

After editing the photos I thought this would also be a great gift for a hostess. Take the tray and the glasses with the golden rim and add the juices plus a bottle of champagne to it and a fresh pomegranate and rosemary stems. Wrap it in clear wrapping foil and you have another great gift.

Happy Friday you guys,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

Mother´s Day isn´t far away so I wanted to share this cute table setting with you today. You can invite all of your mom friends a day early and celebrate motherhood or you invite your mom and grandma to celebrate this special day with them.

It will be my second Mother´s Day this year and as rewarding it is to be a mom it definitely is as hard. The constant looking our for your little one that they are safe and have everything they need is intense at times but to be honest I always wanted to be mom and I wouldn´t have it any other way.

The pandemic hasn´t made it easy to find other mom´s with babies so I am glad two of my friends also became moms last year.

So for the table setting I choose an all pink and gold color theme mixed in with lace and gorgeous flowers. Overall it is a very feminine and romantic vibe. I just love how it turned out.

The little cakes are from a local bakery and husband couldn´t wait for the shot to be over so he could have one with his coffee.

Celebrating this day never had more meaning to me than today and I am so happy to be Emilia´s mom.

Since we are all someone´s daughter I am linking a few things I think would make great gifts for your mom on Mother´s Day.

The perfect Christmas dessert – cranberry chocolate cake…

….

Hi guys,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate links-not sponsored)
usually this close to Christmas I have my Christmas menu all together and already tried but neither of both has happened so far. I am still not done with the finishing touches of my main course and I don´t have a dessert. But that is about to change.

What do you think of this beautiful Christmas inspired cranberry chocolate cake. I think it looks so great and would definitely be a treat for the holidays. Anyone with me?

You may think it is super hard to make but in fact it isn´t at all. It definitely takes less time in comparison to many other cakes/cupcakes I have made and looks really festive.

So let´s put on our aprons and get started:

Ingredients dough:
– 5 eggs
– 150 gr. of sugar
– 1 table spoon of vanilla sugar
– 150 gr. of flour
– 1 1/2 tea spoons of baking soda
– 3 table spoons of cocoa

Be sure to double the dough and bake it in two pans cause it won´t be enough for the whole cake.

Ingredients filling:
–  1 glass of cranberries
– 1 litre of heavy cream
– 12 sheets of white gelatin
– 5 table spoons of vanilla sugar

Ingredients topping:

– 150 gr. of dark chocolate couverture
– a few spoons of cranberries
– mix eggs and sugar and stir until fluffy
– add the other dry ingredients and stir for another 2 mintues (best to use a kitchen mashine)
– pour batter into 2 cake pans (be sure you doubled the ingredients for the dough, otherwise it won´t be enough)
– bake for 25 minutes at 160 degrees
–  meanwhile melt the dark chocolate couverture and spread between two baking sheet
– roll them up and let the chocolate cool down in the fridge
– after your cake layers have cooled down coat both with the cranberries
 – now whip your cream (add the gelatine afterwards, be sure to follow the constructions on the packaging) and add the sugar while doing so
– spread the half of your whipped cream mixture on the first cake layer and top with second cake layer, then spread the rest of your mixture
 – be sure to keep the cake ring around it and let it cool for three hours or over night
– garnish with cranberries
– open your parchment paper roll of dark chocolate couverture and spread it over your cake
– et voilà you have the perfect Christmas cake or Christmas dessert
If you are making the cake please tell me if you liked it. My mom was obsessed over it and she usually never likes anything.
Thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.

Modern Christmas Dinner Table Scape in Pink, Black + Gold…

….

Hello friends,
(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)
are you making progress in your Christmas preparations? I definitely do. After decking the halls and wrapping all of the presents and visiting several advent markets I have finally tackled our dinner table. Like every year our families come together on the 25th of December for a Christmas dinner I am hosting.
I have a different table scape every season (it usually matches the color I have decorated my tree) and this year I only made a little change. I wanted the table scape to be black, gold and pink like the ornaments on the tree but (I recently discovered this) the gold on the ornaments is silver – oh boy. Since I already had all the pieces I needed and didn´t want to get everything gold in silver I just went with the gold.
Here is a picture I took as inspiration:

 (source via Pinterest)

So I got a black tablecloth and started to decorate. The black and white place mats where the hardest to find (or at least I thought so) but since Ikea has a lot of different ones I decided to have a look at their site and voila they went straight into my cart. I really thought this is going to take ages to find similar ones but these are very similar.

I decided to go with white plates rather than black ones and I also didn´t have any black so since I already got everything I also didn´t want to get out again to get new plates. The pink cotton napkins are from amazon and they are great. A super soft and well made material and the color is so pretty.
The water glasses are H&M and I am using these over and over again also for our Thanksgiving dinner (view the post here). They are at a great price point and look great.
For a festive touch I added these little pink rose arrangements to the table and also the glittery champagne bottle ornaments and brass candlesticks with the rose pink candles.

It isn´t a typical Christmas dinner table in the traditional way but it is in no way less festive. I am probably gonna have red all over next year cause at some point I miss the traditional colors.

By adding the Freixenet bottles (by the way my favorite bubbly drink) I wanted to make sure that everyone can handle the aperitif situation as they like. I always have some folks who don´t like the bubbly at all.

Since I am serving a menu there is no need for several matching dishes to place the food on the table. The only thing I forgot in the pictures is my water carafe with the golden rim.

Do you have planned your table scape already and what are your colors this year? Or maybe I have given you just as much inspo that you setting it up like this?

As always thanks for stopping by and check back every day this week for lots of Christmas themed posts.
