Happy Friday you guys,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

I wasn´t sure if I would share a table scape this year cause all of our planned festivities have been cancelled due to the second lockdown but we are allowed to celebrate Christmas with our family so here we are.  The minute I heard about the loosening of the rules for the Christmas days I was going all out creating a last minute table scape with things I already had.

I wanted to have a rustic table scape with lots of wood and greenery but ended up having no wood but lots of fir. I personally love how it turned out. The table cloth is old but I have never used it. I went with red plates and red gingham napkins for the country flair. For some glamour I added all golden accessories like the candle holders, napkin rings and the bootle brush trees.

As a little extra I love to add string lights. These are the fairy lights and make the faintest little light spots which are awesome for table lighting besides the candles.

I am pretty proud of myself for pulling this off in the short time I had. Normally I think about my Christmas dinner table scape for weeks.

Here is a picture how it looks at night:

Happy hump day,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

every year I am looking forward to share our Christmas tree with you guys. I can go all out on Christmas decor, Christmas songs and just get in the spirit for the season.

This year I wanted a traditional color but also very glamorous so I decided to go with gold. You can never go wrong with one of the Christmas colors like gold or red. Since I had red last year this was the natural choice.

One thing I needed to switch out this year have been the lights. We always used string lights but to be honest it was a pain the a** to put them on every year. So I decided to get single lights this year which are turned on with a remote and let me tell you it is so convenient.

I got a pack of 30 pieces off of amazon and love them very much. They definitely add extra flair to the tree.

If you are looking for some extra inspiration for your Christmas tree I am linking my tree´s from the last years for you.

Mint green and silver

Pink and black

Red and green

Have you spotted the pickle on the tree??

Do you know the story behind it? It is supposed to be hidden in the tree and the person who finds it first will receive a little present. Cute and easy am I right.

Did you decorate your tree already? I know it is early putting the Christmas tree up on the 1rst of November but it somehow became a tradition over here.

Hello my fall loving ladies,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliste Links-not sponsored)

I have been decorating my front porch for Fall for years now and some years I love it better than others but in general if there are pumpkins and mums I am satisfied. Mums are the perfect Fall flowers as the colors are beautiful, I personally prefer the burgundy variation but I love them all.

And of course lots and lots of pumpkins – the ultimate Fall symbol. We went to the pumpkin patch two weeks ago and got some great pumpkins, besides the gorgeous orange ones a really cool green one and some pretty whtie ones. But let´s start on assembling. I wanted to share some of my tips and what has worked well for our entrance.

Tips on decoration your front porch

– add color – like different mums

– mix real pumpkins and ceramic ones

– add different flowers

– hang a Fall themed wreath on your door

– add different door mates – a bigger and a smaller one or a plain and a patterned one

– get a wodden sign for your entrance (I am definitely buying one for next year)

– play with heights (different pots, different sizes of flowers and pumpkins)
– use different planters to make it interesting
I love to deocrate for Fall whether it is indoors or outdoors. What is your favorite time to decorate?

I love candles. It is that easy to say. Give me a scented candle with a cute picture on the front of the jar and I am definitely sold. I am weak in that way but that´s how things are. That´s also why I probably own more candles than a church and have no problem to supply the whole neighborhood should there be a blackout.

My personal favorite brands are Yankee Candle, Village Candle and the cute Fall candles from Bath&Body Works. My most used candle time definitely is Fall and Winter. There are so many cute Summer candles but I am in no mood to light a candle when it´s searing hot outside.

How to properly burn down your candles

The first and most important step is to cut back the wick. It should only be a few millimetres long. That is how you get a small and constant flame to properly burn down the candle. It is also recommended to cut it back after every time you light it up.

Another important thing is the location of the candle. For a evenly burnt candle there should be no breeze that disturbs the flame from burning evenly or you will have wax on the side of the jar that is left. Would be a total waste of money and product.

For the last step (probably not even a real one) your candle should fit seamlessly into your seasonal decor. Fall is my favorite so I went with a bunch of different pumpkins on my mantle.

Are you a candle person? And did you knew how important it was to cut the wick before burning it the first time?
