….
Thanksgiving is right around the corner and although it isn´t a holiday here in Germany I like to host a dinner right after, mostly on Saturday to have a little Friendsgiving soirée. We all love the homemade American dishes and it is always a blast plus good food.
For this years table I went with a very neutral (at least for me) color concept. Black, white and beige. To be honest I always loved a great neutral table decor but I just never thought it would fit my style and tast but here we go and it turned out beautiful.
I always start with my color theme and the first thing I place is a table runner. Then I get the place mats. I wanted the table to look as natural as possible and these place mats fit the bill perfectly. I had them for years and love using them year round. The next thing to place are plates, cutlery, glassware and napkins. The black and white gingham napkins are a last minute amazon order and look so cute with golden napkin rings.
I follow up with the center piece. This year I decided to have a bunch of candles on a wooden plate. To be honest this was a last minute idea but I was very pleased how it turned out cause the single vase with black pampas grass would have been pretty lonely. And finally the decor piece that gave me the whole idea for the color theme has been this super affordable set of little pumpkins.
Creating a table scape for different holidays is such a fun task I love so much and this is the best season cause there aren´t more holidays than now to have fun experimenting with different colors and decor.
