How to style your bar cart for Easter…

how about a bar cart full of candy to enjoy along the Easter holidays ?? Not the worst idea am I right? I was thinking about how to spice up our Easter holiday because I always have so many ideas for Christmas but Easter comes a little short so I decided to decorate an Easter bar cart and you know what – it turned out even better than I imagined and I love it.

What to put onto your Easter bar cart

I always go with a few key pieces when I decorate a seasonal bar cart:

– Color theme // This is one of the most important things to think of after you decided on a season / holiday to decorate your bar cart with. My main colors are pink, yellow and green.

– Decor // I go with seasonal decor to make sure everyone knows what the theme is. Easter bunnies and ceramic eggs it is.

– Fresh flowers // Fresh flowers always look nice and while I would go with a poinsettia for Christmas I went with bright and colorful gerberas.

– Colorful add-ons // These are things I add to incorporate even more of the color of my theme. For this example it is the straws.

– Antiques or heirlooms // The adorable flower dishes are an heirloom from my great-aunt. I was so excited that it matched so well cause I definitely wanted to incorporate a family piece.

– Candy // An obvious one 😉

Easter is right around the corner (12 days away) so I just wanted to know if you are prepped already? I am done early this year whith decor and gifts because we have Emilia´s birthday celebration on the weekend and one week isn´t enough time for me to get everything done. I mean I only have about 3 hours a day were she naps.

So let´s talk about the baby girl Easter inspo in this blog post. I think baby things are the cutest and printing little bunnies on them makes them even more adorable.

Easter Inspo for Babies

Golden sandals // Pink sandals // denim sandals – baby sandals are the cutest. I can not wait for her to wear these in the Summer.

Yellow ruffle dress // Easter Bunny dress // Easter Bunny Set – The cutest Spring/Summer/Easter dresses for baby girl. An a line dress on a baby is the most adorable thing I have seen in a while.

Bunny book // Easter story book – I got different Easter books for Emilia. I personally love to change her books seasonally. She loves to look at her books and does this several times a day.

Easter basket // Got a soft Easter basket like this one for our Easter Egg hunt. I don´t want her to get hurt by falling over and onto a wooden basket plus they are available in beautiful Spring colors.

Stuffed bunny // I just had to. We definitely have enough stuffed animals but what is Easter without a fluffy bunny.

Eggs for Easter Egg Hunt // Hopefully she will understand the concept of collecting the eggs but either way I am sure it is going to be so much fun for her.

I got a stuffed bunny and some books for Emilia´s Easter basket plus a soft Easter basket for her to collect Easter Eggs in the garden. Hopefully the weather will be nice.

how is everybody? I hope you are healthy and happy. I am in full prep mode for Emilia´s first birthday over here. Started with the table setup today and going to make her garland tomorrow and the balloon arch on Friday. I can´t wait to show her everything I have planned for her big day. Unfortunately we are still in a part of the lockdown so we can only invite a few family members but hey better than nothing. These days you have to be grateful for everything.

Anyways how it the weather where you are? We had a full return of Winter last week and I didn´t like it at all. To be honest I am really over it. It may look beautiful but I want bright flowers and fresh green grass and not white on white.

So the look I am wearing above is such a great casual style. It looks very put together but not over the top. I prefer a pair of bootcut denim over skinny jeans any day of the week. Also I have been wearing the graphic tee and cardigan/blazer combo for a few years now and I am still not tired of it. Works great in so many ways whether you are wearing a skirt or pants.

So I am looking forward to warmer weather and there will also be some more Easter posts this week for you guys. Keep visiting.

Subtle Easter decor for your home…

have you already decorated for Easter or are you still searching for some inspo? I have never been one to overly decorate for Easter. It is subtle but noticeable. You will recognize that Easter is rolling around but it´s no Christmas.

So let´s dive in a little deeper.

My subtle Easter Decor

There are (only) 3 places I decorate for Easter in our home. Our console table in the entry way and two spots in the living room (our dining table and the tray to the right of the TV).

I am mostly using the same decor. I love to decorate with ceramic Easter eggs, bunnies and real catkins. I hang Easter eggs made of glass or plastic on them and that´s mostly it, but that doesn´t its boring.

The ceramic Easter eggs I have decorated at the side of our TV are black and white with polka dots and stripes. The pattern makes a nice contrast with the golden and plain white eggs. Adding flowers makes for a nice decor as well.

Do your love decorating overall or only for certain holidays ?
