Mother´s Day this year is super special for me as it is the first Mother´s Day I get to celebrate for myself too. I still can´t believe we finally have our baby girl. At some times it seems so surreal. Being a mom is awesome. So far it has been the best job I have ever had and the greatest experience I have ever made.
I love our little baby girl so much and spending time with her is just the best.
So for celebrating our mothers and ourselves I have created a little gift guide with cute things to make everyday life a little more special.
It marked one month yesterday since we had our sweet little baby girl and I still can´t believe it. Time has flown by. My husband is back to work after his one month maternity leave which means he is just working from another room these days but still.
3 days
4 weeks
I remember the moment they layed her onto my chest like it was yesterday. The sweetest tiny baby I have ever seen. Today had been our one month check up at the pediatrician. She gained about 1,5 kg since her birth which is great cause I always had the thought she doesn´t get enough breastmilk.
One Month Progress
She definitely became more alert. She is following lights with her eyes and looks at bright and patterned things. She starts to smirk and smile and I can´t wait for her first baby laugh. Another thing I love are baby sneezes – aren´t those the cutest.
She has grown 6 cm already which means some of her clothes aren´t fitting anymore and that makes me so sad. I don´t want her to grow up this fast but I am also happy she is developing as one healthy and happy baby.
Eating most of the day and taking long naps are some of the things which are our day to day business She is a pretty good sleeper so I only have to feed her twice a night and then she usually stays asleep until eight or half past nine. We recently started tummy time and she is doing pretty well.
Kicking is one ability she recently added to her skills so I ordered an activity playmat for her. Also her grasp is getting tighter by the day and she might start holding things soon.
Her hair is getting more and darker every day but I am still not quite sure what her definite hair color will be.
We still can´t decide if which one of us she resembles more but this will hopefully change in the coming weeks.
I am going to share a post about all the things we use on a daily basis and can´t get through without in about four weeks. This gives me enough time to try and test each product.
oh boy what a day it has been. My husband went back to work today so it was my first full day with baby girl alone and we made it. I also have gotten a few things done. First I was a bit anxious but it was acutally a great day with my girls.
Since Spring is here and stays for good so I am bursting out all of my light and airy dresses and I can´t quite decide which one to wear first. Decisions over decisions.
Other than that I haven´t gotten any news. We are still stuck at home and it is really getting on my nerves. Tomorrow is our first appointment at the pediatrician and I have to go there alone so wish me luck.
Oh boy it has been like forever since I have posted a recipe over here. I really don´t know why but I think because of my pregnancy I had so many food aversions and wasn´t too happy about eating so food posts seemed a little off.
But I am slightly getting back into my normal posting scheme so here I am today with an awesome breakfast recipe, a ovenbaked pancake called Dutch Baby.
It is super simple, has only three ingredients and takes in total 25 minutes from start to finish.
Ingredients
– 2 eggs
– 180 ml milk
– 100 gr flour
– mixt the eggs with the flour
– mix the egg/flour mixture with the milk
– put butter in your oven form/pan and heat these up in the oven togehter
– after the butter has melted pour your batter into it and put back into the oven
– let it bake for 20 minutes
– I sprinkled some powdered sugar over it and topped it of with raspberries
Super easy to make and super delicious. I am a total breakfast gal and I missed having these kinds of breakfasts during my pregnancy cause I couldn´t eat carbs.
Definitely going to share a ton of recipes soon cause now that we are held in quarantine I have time to cook every day and tried some delicious things you will be able to remake soon.
