and happy hump day – the weekend is right around the corner. It is another hot day here which means another dress on Madame Schischi I am sharing.
I first was very sceptical when I got this high neck midi dress cause of the silhouette. I loved the print and color and the oh so fun sleeves. A marvellous sleeve is a great statement itself. But it is very wide so I always have to wear a waist belt with it otherwise I am lost in the midi dress and the other thing is the high neck. It isn´t quite like a turtleneck and also it is a summer dress so I wasn´t really sure about. The hairstyle you pair with this dress plays a big role here. Open hair looks super overwhelming and – at least for myself – creates weird face proportions. So I went with a sleek low bun and in my opinion it looked perfect. Another great option would be a high or low ponytail. Anything that get´s you hair out of the face would work great.
To finish off the look I added a pair of flower hoops made of sequins and my favorite pair of espadrilles in black this time. The bamboo handle bag is a favorite of mine (just love the bamboo handle bags for summer time) but unfortunately not available anymore. I have linked some similar options below. To be very honest about this look, I was thrilled at the time I was ready. The mixture of the low bun, the flowery earrings and the high neck created such a Spanish vibe. I felt like a salsa dancer all day and isn´t that the great think about fashion. You can be whoever you wanna be.
