Updated Living Room Decor after 3 Years – Glam Boho Vibes…

This was our living room two years ago.

The main color theme has been silver, gray and blue which is now totally switched to brown, beige and gold.

Finally !!! I am finally sharing our redecorated living room with you guys. It took way longer than I expected and I was very annoyed at the end also I had some obstacles before even editing the pictures cause I accidentally deleted the pictures twice and on the day I was shooting the sun was shining the whole time but when I was done with cleaning it was gloomy so it wasn´t super easy to shoot but I think we did a great job.

Another point why it took a lot longer than I thought was that I had some ideas I wanted to incoroporate until the end plus I had to get plants/flower and print out some pictures and while this would have cost me half a day before Emilia I now have to break it up into two or three trips. 

So with no further ado here is our old but new redecorated living room / dining room. I absolutely love how it turned out. It now has such a comfortable and cozy boho chic vibe to it.

I went with lots of earthy tones and glamed it up with gold accents in the decor. To cozy it up big soft cushions were a must. The majority of my decor is from H&M Home, TK Maxx, Ikea and bonprix. I personally like to shop affordable but good looking pieces. After linking all the pieces I incorporated into this room this could easily be a commercial for the Ikea catalogue 😉

The cinnamon colored accent wall was the last thing I changed before ticking this room and I definitely love how it turned out. Vibrant or dark accent walls have become super popular over the last couple years and it is a trend I totall dig but getting rid of a dark wall is a whole other project.

My lastest H&M Home Finds…

The New Year brings lot´s of new projects with it. I planned on changing some little corners around the house plus we want to redecorate Emilia´s nursery to make a shared girls room out of it. Since we are having two girls close in age we decided to give them the big room and put them together.

We recently painted a wall in our living room in the most gorgeous rich caramel color and I love it even more now. I can confidently say that our living room is done after about 1 1/2 years of making small changes. Going to reveal it in the next week (hopefully).

So for our next project I have been gathering ideas and already ordered some wallpaper and small home decoration like pillows and blankets and curtains to get a little closer and coordinate the colors I want to have. Also every time I go around with a folding rule in my hand my husband has a mild panic attack cause he is afraid of what else I am planning to change (anyone else´s too!!).

H&M Home has become a stop shop over the years not only for seasonal decor but also for all kinds of decor, pillows and planters for example. We don´t have a store nearby so I have to order what I like but that´s not a problem at all. Never had shipping issues and the breakable pieces are usually packed really safe.

Festive Mocktail – Cranberry Grapefruit Spritzer…

Christmas festivities are right around the corner and in today´s post I wanted to share this quick and easy but good looking mocktail with you. I made it a mocktail cause this way everyone can have a sip but you could easily add some champagne or vodka if you like.

So for the ingredients this is what I used:

– cranberry juice

– grapefruit juice 

– sparkling water 

– pomegranate seeds

– crushed ice

– alkohol if needed

All I did was mix the two juices and the water in equal parts and put crushed ice into the glasses. Then I poured in the mixture and added pomegranate seeds on top. Et voilá it looks super cute. You could also add some greenery like rosemary if desired.

After editing the photos I thought this would also be a great gift for a hostess. Take the tray and the glasses with the golden rim and add the juices plus a bottle of champagne to it and a fresh pomegranate and rosemary stems. Wrap it in clear wrapping foil and you have another great gift.

Christmas Tree Decor 21 – Color Theme Red and Green…

I finally came around to shot a close up of my tree. To be honest I have done many trees the last few years but this years tree might be my absolute favorite – or am I saying this every year!!!

The color concept for our Christmas tree is as simple and classic but as chic and beautiful as possible. It is Red and Green – THE  original Christmas colors in my opinion. 

I always start by adding the plain ornaments to the tree and go from there. For this year´s concoction I went with all red and green ornaments. After that I added tartan print bows and glittery poinsettias in green and red. The poinsettias might be my favorite feature of the tree. 

Afterwards I go and get our special ornaments like the pickle or the Mickey bubble and place them all over tree. The last thing I add are the lights. They are just clip on and super easy to put on. 

I also got some fun things like the candy canes and candies so Emilia can also grab some things from the tree. We also started a new tradition this year. I am letting her pick one new ornament every year (going to write the year onto it) and then place it somewhere on the tree. This will be so much fun and when she is old enough and moving out she can start decorating her Christmas tree with all the cute ornaments she collected over the years.

She was very interested the first two or three days and always wanted to grab some ornaments but now she only wants to turn on the lights of the tree and look at it.
