Regensburg Brunch and Breakfast Spots Part#1…

….

I LOVE breakfast. It is my favorite meal of the day and I would rather eat breakfast dishes than anything else. Always. So since having children we are no strangers to getting up early and so we decided to go and try all of the different berakfast spots we can find in our city.

I wanted to break it up in two parts cause we have tested a few and that would be way to much info at once. If you are ever in Regensburg, either for vacation or business you should definitely check out these places. We have been lots of times and tried the breakfast menu up and down. I am going to share my favorites of each and also some other significant things.

Also to be clear about breakfast. We do not like the normal breakfast like a piece of bread, butter and cheese. We always look for pancakes or waffles, egg variations and bowls.

Breakfast / Brunch Spots in Regensburg

OFFSID3

By far our favorite – by far. They have the most delicious and most extra dishes for breakfast. From eggs benedict to bowls, waffles, french toast and pancakes to avocado toast and breakfast burritos there really is something for everyone. They have a gluten free pancake option. Lots of different coffees (we are cappuccino people) and other hot beverages as well as juice and their own fresh lemonade.

The garden behind is super pretty with lots of shade in the Summer. The inside is pretty as well but too big. There are some stairs everywhere so you will not be able to access the garden or the restrooms with a wheelchair. Also they do not have a changing table for babies. It is fairly priced and the dishes usually come very quick. Portions are pretty big. If you want to eat two different ones you´ll better share.

Charlie´s

We have visited Charlie´s a few times now and it has great breakfast options but not as many as I´d hope for. The terrace and the indoors are super modern (black and gold always looks great together) and moody. Outside it can be a bit noisy cause there are two major streets going along. Also there is not much space inside so it will be a bit cozy if you are having a mom brunch with more than one stroller. Also the toilets are downstairs and there is no possibility for a wheelchair to get down other than the stairs. They do have a changing table for babies.

The pancakes and the breakfast sandwich are the best options to choose from. Of course you also can not go wrong with bacon and eggs. The prices are reasonable and the size of the portions are fine.

Café Kona

If you are having kids with you to take to breakfast this will be the best option. They have a corner with toys and books and small furniture to sit on. The breakfast is pretty normal. Bread, cold cuts and cheese and vegetables but the croissants are amazing.  They are warm and soft and delicious. I always order two cause they are gone pretty quick. Plus they offer bagels. I always take the English Bagel with bacon and eggs and beans.

There is a seperate bathroom to change diapers. You can get inside through the garden at the back of the restaurant if you have a stroller or wheelchair. If you are around the area in Fall make sure to try their pumpkin spice latte. I kid you not it tastes amazing.

Freiraum

Super small restaurant with a cute little garden on the back but also has super narrow aisles. It will be hard maneuvering with a stroller and that is why it´s best to sit out front.

I love their pancakes and eggs plus the plates are the most colorful and pretty I have ever seen.

Little Tony´s

It is a two-storey restaurant. Pretty small but very cute. There isn´t much seating whether on the first or the second floor so I would make sure to make a reservation. There is a very small outdoor seating area but of course it is closed in Winter.

I love to order the bacon and egg bread and the pancakes. So so good every damn time. Why is breakfast so much fun!!

Very limited space for strollers but it is possible to get in and also toilets are accessable for wheelchairs and a changing table for kids is also available.

Part two is coming soon but there are a few places I need to get back first as well as to try more of their foods.

Helena´s Baptism…

….

I am finally coming around to share the details of our little girl back in November. But shortly after the holiday craziness started and we had been pretty sick the majority of December.

Anyways let´s start with Emilia´s baptism. It was as girly as can be. I had everything – from the cake to the flowers, the candles and the party favors in a light pink shade. I was fulfilling my wildest girl dreams and it looked amazing. You can read all about Emilia´s Baptism here.

For Helena´s baptism I wanted eucalyptus to be the main plant and color. I always start with the invitations with a color and theme I would like. But you can read more about How I plan Family Festivities here.

My MIL made the flower bouquets and to be honest these are the most beautiful I have ever seen. The really put a florists work to shame. I wanted to go big with 5 flower bouquets cause flower elevate the table decor much more than anyhting else. Of course sequins shouldn´t be missed when I am hosting so I got these pretty emerald table runner from etsy.

The hardware around like white etagérès, the cupckae stand and the golden candle holder are all from amazon and frequently used in our home.

Cake and cupcakes have been so so good. I always order them from a café called Orlando di´Lassi in Regensburg. I will never go back cause the inside tastes as good as the outside looks.

The next family party I am planing is Emilia´s birthday, but it will be a little harder this year cause I can not pick the theme I would like. We´ll see.

How to store (Christmas) Cards and Photos…

….

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

The older I get the more I am all about making and keeping memories especially wth my two little children. Time is really moving fast and I want to capture as much as possible and that means many more pictures in the future. I am a paper girl. I need a planner to write in cause appointments on my phone just don´t count for me. Same with pictures. They are forgotten very soon if I don´t sort through them and print some from time to time cause I won´t go back years and thousands of phots to look at them. So photo boxes come in very handy.

How I store our Photos

We have a ton of photos, especially after moving in together years ago we have all of our childhood photos to sort through as well. We have photos from our wedding, from vacation, festivities and of course our children.

How I store our Christmas Cards

Cards usually come in lots of different sizes and finding a cute storage box to fit them all is quite the task so I am going with Katey McFarlan´s tip and store all of our Christmas cards and cards we get from friends and family on these little rings. They are super easy to use. I got a box of 50 (will probably last forever) for a few Euro and they really made my life easier. You just use a perforator and punch a little whole into the card and put it onto the ring and you are done.

Where to get your personalized planner for 2023…

….

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

I love a good planner – just ask my husband he can tell you all about it!! In fact I am a little planner and notebook addicted so I might have quite the collection. Since I have so many pretty pieces I have gotten a little picky over time but that is not a bad thing if you ask me. You are commiting a full year to your planner so you should at least like it and be content with it.

I have had an Erin Condren planner I loved so so much in the past but it is annoying to get one cause the delivery time is very long (Erin Condren is from the US) and the customs charges another fee plus extra taxes.

So my planner is from a company called Persönlicher Kalender. You can personalize every last bit of it. The colors, the layout, the inlay, quotes and dates, holidays and weather. You can get seperats papers for training, budgeting, meal planning, coloring, Sudoku and so on and so on….

I have choosen the beige colored hardcover for the planner which can be reused year after year so you just have to buy new inlets. The site also offers a huge amount of cute sticker sets as well as tons of pens and pencils.
