Homemade Guacamole for Cinco de Mayo…

….

Hello and happy Friday my sweet friends,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

since it is going to be Cinco de Mayo on Sunday I wanted to share our favorite homemade guacamole recipe over here on the blog. My love for avocado goes way back since it became trendy and gucamole was always a big part of it. But as every Mexican restaurant makes it different I tried and tested some different versions in my own kitchen at home until I found one I liked a lot and I stuck to it. It might not be a “traditional” recipe anymore but we all love it and enjoy it and in my opinion that´s what counts.

So here is what you need:

-avocado (it depends on how much you want to make, I used 2 1/2)

-fresh tomates (I chop mine with a hand blender for a few seconds)

-cream cheese (I used 2 1/2 full tablespoons)

-to season it it I used some salt and pepper and some paprika and also some dried onions (I started with a half teaspoon of each but you can sesason as you like it)

The little nacho bowl is from amazon and comes in a pack of four and I think it is perfect to serve cause it has as the beautiful colors to spice up your table and is great for portioning.

Hope you are having a great weekend ahead of you. We are hosting a BBQ for a couple of friends tonight but that´s it for weekend ideas. It is supposed to get super cold and rainy again so I am probably gonna stay inside as much as possible.

As always thanks for stopping by and if you are in need for some Mothers´s Day gift ideas or recipes be sure to check back next week.
