It has finally cooled down and you can feel this in the air like nothing else. All signs are up that we are heading straight into a marvellous Fall and I can not wait. Not only holds a new season tons of new beginnings, but this year it will also be when our sweet little baby finally arrives. But as long as we are patiently waiting for the arrival of our little girl I am going to share as much Fall trends with you as possible.

Let´s start with the most present one …

Leopard Print

I have always loved leopard print and used every opportunity to grab a great piece of clothing with leopard print. Most of us have leopard print probably considered as a neutral for Fall and Winter cause it has been everpresent and so fitting but it is back in full force and on everything.

The most iconic piece this season is the leopard print pant and I am going to try on one as soon as I have back hips and a waist. Other then that there are many more things I love. A headband if you want a subtle touch or a jacket as a statement piece.

Current fashion combos…

Leopard print outfits I have worn throughout the years…

Delicious Pumpkin Bread with White Choclate Frosting….

….

If there is one thing that really needs to be included in the Fall season it has to be some pumpkin bread for me. I just love everything about it. It is dense, flavorful and soft, a little sweet a little savory and with the white chocolate cream cheese frosting absolutely addicting.

I have made several every year and they are always gone within two days. Sorry, not sorry!! So today I wanted to share the exact recipe I am using for the pumpkin bread (which is actually a cake) plus the frosting I am making for everything.

Ingredients Pumpkin Bread:

Dough:

– 450 gr of flour
– 400 gr of sugar
– 500 gr of pumpkin puree
– 220 ml of vegetable oil (I like sunflower oil)
– 160 ml of water
– 3 eggs
– 2 tablespoons baking soda
– 1,5 tablesoons salt
– 1 tablespoon cinnamon
– 1 tablespoon nutmeg

Stir everything together until you have a smooth dough. Works for two pumpkin breads.

Bake at 160 degrees for one hour.

Frosting:

– 400 gr cream cheese
– 300 gr melted white chocolate
– squirt of lemon juice
– one cup of confectioners sugar

Let the chocolate cool down a little before you stir the frosting together. Apply as much as you like and top of with pumpkin spice or cinnamon.

What to wear in the Summer when you are pregnant…

….

Well well well let´s talk about being pregnant in the Summer. This is my third pregnancy and it usually comes with a long list of annoying (more or less) challenges, but getting dressed for the heat hasn´t been a huge focus the last two times. This time around I am having a cute pumpkin October baby but this means powering through all of Summer and these are a surprise every year. You never know how the temperatures will be.

This year around I would say other than three hot weeks at once we were lucky and hit the jackpot with warm and dry weather, but now the question of all questions – what to wear in the Summer when you are pregnant and hot, sweating and uncomfortable all the time ??!!

Dresses

No matter the season I always reach for a dress. It is just the easiest way to get dressed. Grab one piece throw it on and done. Now of course there are hundreds of different cuts and pieces out there. So what would be the most flattering / comfortable to choose for pregnancy. This is also a personal preference things but I am sharing both my views.

Loose

A loose dress will definitely your best friend before the bump really pops cause you can hide a lot under it and also when you are very far along cause it is flowy and comfortable and not restrictive at all. Also a great piece to wear when the baby is here and you are unsure or unsecure of your postpartum body.

Fitted

While these look very cute with a baby bump you might want to find them a little tight at some point in your pregnancy. I have many pieces that stretch out a lot and I still love to wear but to be honest on very hot days they are making it a lot hotter cause the air just can´t flow through.

Skirts

Now skirts I find to be a little tricky when I am honest. Do you wear the waistband over or under the belly and how about the length and width of the shirt. You can opt for a fitted shirt / top and crop it a little so you don´t drown in fabric or you go for a oversized longer shirt that might be a little more comfortable but now as easy to pull off. There have only been a few days where I wore a skirt and a shirt combo. Also I find it hard to tolerate anything tight around my belly at this point. I really miss my skirts, but come Fall I can probably fit back into at least a few.

Pants

I haven´t worn lots of pants to be honest. It is not my preferable choice of clothing but sometimes I grab a pair and cause you can´t style every kind of top/shirt with a skirt or dress. Now at 8 months pregnant there is no way I still fit into any kind of normal pant and also my maternity denim is way too tight around the belly (hasn´t been this huge the last two times).

Stretchy pants and have been the answer the first few months but now it also isn´t comfortable anymore. The waistband is too tight and I feel very restricted.  This is just a personal preference and if your bump is a lot smaller I am sure you can find comfortable maternity pants but there is no chance for me.

Shoes

Now shoes have been a total different story. At this point most of my shoes do not fit anymore. My feet have just gotten so wide I can only wear adjustable, very stretchy shoes or flip flops. I do have enough though but I really miss most of my shoes. Also I am very anxious what to wear when the weather cools down and I have to wear closed toe shoes. There is no way I will fit into those.

How to store your Child´s Birthday Memorabilia…

….

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate LInks-not sponsored)

I am very sentimental. This is not a secret, I shed the ocassional tear after watching the end of Disney movies and I get very emotional putting away the girl´s clothes cause I can mostly remember when and where each special piece has been worn. I also love looking back at pictures, especially birthday pics cause it is just such a special day for a little one being celebrated all alone and also having one surprise after another.

We have had quite the birthday parties over the last few years. Each and everyone special on its own and I have loved decorating and planning them so much. Since our children are still young they probably won´t remember all of their birthdays and that is where my keep sake pouches come in handy.

I have thought up and down how and what to keep from their birthday parties and came up with some things I definitely want to keep every time.

What to put into your child´s birthday keep sake pouches

– the outfit they have worn

– cake topper with number or font

– little fondant figurines if possible to let them dry out before storing or any other cake

– garlands or confetti

– cute themed accessories

– printed photos I took on their special day

– birthday garlands or a printed poster

– handmade birthday invitations

– a little something from their gift bags if there was a kid´s birthday party

Of course you can keep anything you like in your keep sake pouches. This is just to give you some ideas.

The pouches are simple document pouches but I find them to very practical for several areas in our home. I also have them in our playroom holding wooden puzzles, beads or small figurines.

Mine are from SheIn and the size of a DINA4 sheet of paper. I get the pack of 3 for 5 Euro. They are made out of a soft fabric and breathable but you can get the standard colored plastic ones as well. Work great too.

The golden sticker numbers will probably hold a bit better on the plastic document pouches but I haven´t had a problem yet so I am going to stick to the white fabric ones.
