Hello my fashion loving and freezing friends,

what the faux fur coat (see last years post here) has been last year to the fashion community, is the teddy coat now. So many different brands and retailer carry a bunch of teddy coats in so many beauiful colors. I was eyeing with a burgundy one but went with the classic color. A beige teddy coat just was a lot more versatile to me. 

I paired it in a simple color theme and totally loved how it turned out. My coat is a little oversized but that is how I wanted it cause I do have lots of warm and thick pullovers and they will be the perfect addition under the teddy coat. I don´t see a way how I should freeze this coming Winter.
For a more comfortable day for running around a lot outiside I had worn these look a like Ugg boots but a normal boot or even and overknee boot would also be just fine with the coat.
Do you have any trends or pieces that get you through cold winter days ?

Food Friday – our favorite awesome pumpkin pie recipe….

I am sharing my most loved (by myself and Florian, my mom somehow hates the consistency and the taste – guess she is not fall fan after all) recipe on my blog today. This pumpkin pie has been my go-to pie for nearly every fall and winter ocassion and I just adore it and it is so simple.

And even simpler if you are in any area where you can get pumpkin puree in a can. Unless you don´t have one like me you have to make it by yourself.

So here is what you need:

For the pastry:
– 250 gr. of flour
– 75 gr. of white sugar
– 125 gr. butter (softened)
– 1 egg
– 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda

I put all the ingredients in the mixer and wait unitl it look dry, then I pour the dough onto the countertop and kned it until it is one big and nice ball

After that I try to roll it out as flat as possible and then I put it into the pie form spreading it as far in every corner as possible so that you can go up the edge for a nice border of your cake

Now I set it aside and make the filling.

For the filling you´ll need:
– 350 gr. of pumpkin puree
– 150 gr. of brown sugar
– 3 teaspoons of pumpkin spice mix
– 3 eggs 
– 200 gr. of sour cream (you can also use heavy cream but this changes the consistency of your filling since it isn´t as thick as sour cream)
– I cute the pumpkin into small pieces and let it bake in the oven for about 30 to 40 minutes until it is soft enough to be removed from the peel by a spoon 
– then I puree the pumpkin with a half cup of water 
– mix the other ingredients of your filling into the bowl with your pumpkin puree and stir until you have one evenly batter
– pour it into your pie form with the pastry
– bake for 45 minutes at 180 ° (350 Fahrenheit)
I already made it about three times this fall and I am going to make it as one of the two Thanksgiving desserts.

I have started a major closet clean out last week and am still not done. I have gone through all my blazer jacket, vests, capes, ponchos and blouses, button downs. This Friday I planned on going through all my cardigans and pullovers and maybe also my tights. 
In the process of oranizing I have found this beautiful emerald green polka dot blouse I loved to wear. The reach jewel tones make the perfect addition to your fall wardrobe and I thought why not wear it today. 
I paired it with blazer in the exact same green color and a black fishnet midi skirt I have got from the H&M Winter sale last year. The heels also match perfectly. This really had been an outfit right up my alley for attending a dinner party. 
The other jewel tones I adore are a deep amber color, a hint of sapphire and of course my all time favorite a vibrant ruby. These dark but rich shades have their big entrance in the cold and dark months of the year. Maybe that is what creates such a mystique around these colors and also combining it with black makes them really pop out.

maybe by now you know I love hand bags. I should have named my blog “Tales of a handbag addicted” or so in the first place. Anyways I have found a new trend for you guys. After ring handle bags and uprising bucket bags and also round bags – post is up soon – I found out about the clear hand bag trend. If you ask me it is really practical for several reasons. You can find what you need within seconds also this would be a perfect stadion or concert bag as the security people can see through what you are carrying with you.


Lot´s of designers are also offering clear hand bag versions which I think is pretty cool.


I paired my hand bag with a comfortable fall look. A pair of jeans worn with a white shirt or blouse is my base for so many times and has never let me down. For the fall touches I added a cardigan in an adorable orange hue and a pair of leopard print high heels. I really love the leopard print lately and got a bunch of stuff in this print.
