Casual Saturday #25 and happy Easter….

….

Hi guys and happy Saturday,
(post contains affiliate links / Werbung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links)
I am making it quick today since I am aleady up a long time and also ready for my second coffee, prepring for Easter which means making the cake. Setting the table. Doing the flower arrangements. Cleaning the house.

But while I am working you check what I got for our upcoming vacation (upcoming might be a little misleading since we aren´t away until the middle of June but I am so so looking forward guys).

I ordered two times at Asos this week.

First I wanted to get some flowers and combs for my hair since I can not decide which wedding hairstyle I want so maybe accessories clear things up a little bit.

I also ordered this colorful cardigan I have had on my wishlist the longest time. Since I have saw it the first time on Emily´s blog The Sweetest Thing I wanted it so badly and now I finally ordered it. The vibrant orange and pink is just the right combo for me. I also got this beautiful striped off-shoulder dress for summer and of course for vacation. I hope it fits. I sized up one size cause I wanted it to be a little longer.

!function(doc,s,id){ var e, p, cb; if(!doc.getElementById(id)) { e = doc.createElement(s); e.id = id; cb = new Date().getTime().toString(); p = ‚//shopsensewidget.shopstyle.com/widget-script.js?cb=1522229448614?cb=‘ + cb; e.src = p; doc.body.appendChild(e); } if(typeof window.ss_shopsense === ‚object‘){ if(doc.readyState === ‚complete‘){ window.ss_shopsense.init(); } } }(document, ’script‘, ’shopsensewidget-script‘);

The second order wasn´t planned at all. In fact I have been chasing this bag for weeks since I first saw it on Katelyn´s blog Lonestar Southern. I already gave up cause it has sold out twice during the last two weeks so I thought you don´t get a chance to order this. BUT on Tuesday I was looking for a beach or pool bag for our vacation and this one was also listed under this category. Available!! I immidiately put in into my shopping cart cause I couldn´t let this beauty go a third time.
Also found a super cute beach bag from South Beach in white and with a rose gold print.
This has to be fate am I right 🙂
!function(doc,s,id){ var e, p, cb; if(!doc.getElementById(id)) { e = doc.createElement(s); e.id = id; cb = new Date().getTime().toString(); p = ‚//shopsensewidget.shopstyle.com/widget-script.js?cb=1522229448614?cb=‘ + cb; e.src = p; doc.body.appendChild(e); } if(typeof window.ss_shopsense === ‚object‘){ if(doc.readyState === ‚complete‘){ window.ss_shopsense.init(); } } }(document, ’script‘, ’shopsensewidget-script‘);
Another piece I have been looking for quite a while now is a Kimono. I really like the idea of a lightweight oversized and fully printed overlong jacket in awesome colors.
Ordered two but I don´t have them yet so I am telling you when I get them how they turned out.
But enough for the shopping cart situation right now.

This little update turned out longer than I wanted it to be.

Food Friday – carrot cake with white chocolate cream cheese frosting for Easter….

….

Hi guys and happy Friday,
the Easter weekend is finally here and I couldn´t be more excited. Having the whole family over tomorrow. Visiting the other part of the family on Sunday. Maybe we get some rest on Monday.
Hope the weather is getting a little better (currently rain and 8°) to hide some eggs outside.
Since everyone in our family is loving my carott cake (the only exception are my parents) I made kind of an Easter tradition out of it. Not sure if I already wrote about it but it was the first cake I have made Florian when we started dating and he loved it ever since so this is our very own Easter tradition.

So put on your aprons, get your ingredients and let´s bake.

Ingredients batter:
 – 4 eggs
– 200 grams of grounded almonds
– 250 ml rape oil
– 1 tablespoon cinnamon
– 2 tablespoons baking powder
– 250 grams flour
– 250 grams sugar
– 375 grams carrots grated

– mix eggs, sugar, oil and cinnamon together
– mix in the carrots and the almonds
– mix in the flour and the baking powder
– put the batter into a buttered round pan
– bake for 40 minutes at 180 degrees

Ingredients frosting:
– 250 grams white chocolate melted and cooled
– 2 tablespoons lemon juice
– 320 grams butter soft
– confectioners sugar sifted
– 450 grams cream cheese in room temperature

– mix everthing together and let it cool again for about ten minutes until you put it onto your COLD cake
– spread evenly

Decor:
– 12 marzipan carotts

You could also decorate with colorful candy eggs but I choose these little marzipan carrots to top the cake with.

Are you going to make something on your own for Easter ?

Thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.

How to – candy Easter baskets for your brunch guests…

for table scape details have a look at this post / chocolate bunnies Lindt amazon / chocolate eggs Lindt amazon / Jelly Beans Lemon amazon / Easter grass amazon

….

Hi guys,
(post contains affiliate links / Werbung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links)
the Easter fun continues today. After sharing the perfect dress for brunch here and our table scape in the 2018 color of the year here I am back for a cute DIY for joyful guests.

After setting up the tables I was thinking about what about a little something for everyone who is guest at our annual brunch ? Why not right. What is my first source for finding some inspo – right Pinterest.

Guys you have to get on there if you are searching some ideas for Easter whether it is about decoration, Easter baskets or brunch ideas.

I didn´t found the exact idea on Pinterest, in fact it was a recipe for an Easter treat which looked identical so I came to my idea.

I got these little baskets at Nanu Nana. They where 95 cents each. Filled them up with grass or hay and put green Jelly Beans on top of it to rebuild the grass in tasty treats.

The next step was to add chocolate in form of Easter bunnies. There wouldn´t be Easter without chocolate. I love Lindt chocolate. It is a bit on the pricey side but I think it is absolutely worth every penny.

And voila. They are super cute and also tasty and to much so you couldn´t eat them after brunch or just keep them during the Easter time.
Do you like them? Did you make any treats for your brunch guests or just made baskets for the little ones?
Thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.
Be sure to check back for my favorite cake recipe tomorrow.

White peplum button down – pops of red and tulips….

pumps H&M / peplum blouse Jacqueline de Yong / denim H&M similar here and here / sunnies H&M / raffia tote Mango last season similar here / neckerchief Bijou Brigitte similar here

….

Hi guys,
(post contains affiliate links / Werbung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links)
Sping is finally here (although there is some rain and from time to time cold winds and maybe a gray sky but you gotta take what you can get depending on the wheather) and I am all about crisp whites, pops of colors, flowers, bright lips and so much more….

And although I really love pink it is impossible to get away to far from red. Guess you are always coming back to the things you really adore.

The peplum button down is the cutest I have seen in a while and it is even cuter wearing it. The back is longer than the front which I appreciate a lot. The color is a crisp white which is going to match with so many pieces in my wardrobe. The designer is called Jacqueline de Yong and it is known for trendy and affordable pieces. Discovered this back a few months as I was ordering a pink pullover. You can view it here.

I combined it with a pair of high-waisted denim. To add some color to the look I put on my neckerchief I got from Bijou Brigitte (polka dots are still going strong over here) and a pair of block heels in the same color. This really was the cutest and most springish combintion I have worn in a while. To round up the whole look I took this woven raffia bag I got from Mango last year with me. The flowers where added as a statement to make the whole look even more springier.
Are you in full Spring mode now ? And does the weather allow it where you life ?
Be sure to check back tomorrow for more fun Easter ideas. Don´t know what to give to your brunch guests yet ? I have a cute DIY idea.
Thanks for stopping back. Take care. See you.
