Casual Saturday #12….
…..
Hi dolls and happy happy Saturday,
this was a rough week. In fact we only had one evening off but we made the most out of it. I am hosting a fun mexican eveinig tomorrow and I am really planing on building up a fun tablescape.
We really didn´t do a lot of stuff which you would be interested.
I had line dance on Monady and Wednesday and my usual dancing lesson on Tuesday. And I started to go to the gym so I had a guiding in on Friday.
Food:
It was so hot this week so I only made cold and easy food.
I made this awesome cauliflower pizza.
We also tried this inside out coffee I have found on Mara´s blog M loves M. It is a really cool idea to make ice cubes from your coffee and fill in the rest with cold milk. Such a cool idea for a hot day.
Shop:
This had been a week full of stress so there wasn´t to much going on in this category.
I have found this super cut crossbody bag from Mango with this round metal handle. It is called the Zina bag and available in black and this creme shade and it looks pretty familiar to a high-end designer bag.
I also got this clock for my office. I like the wooden / metal mix and I think this is going to look pretty good behind my desk.
The last thing I got was this hairspray for my mom. It is the Living Proof Control Hairspray and it should control your hair so it is not getting frizzy.
TV:
The new Game of Thrones episode was live on Monday and of course we watched it and I must admit we forgot so much that was happening. Maybe there exists a summary somewhere so we can update a little.
I also watched The Bachelorette on Wednesday – in fact only the last 40 minutes – and I can´t believe that they are already going on the dream dates. It fells like it has just started.
So that´s it for this week. I am now pre cooking and decorating for tonight.
Hope you are all having a nice weekend.
Thanks for stopping by.
Take care. See you.
Best of our trip to south-tyrol – Meran….
I am sharing my last travel recap of our South-Tyrol tour today so I am a little sad cause there is still lots of summer left but our vacation is already over.
Meran wasn´t the biggest city but I would say definitely the city with the most people and most things to do and see.
We stayed 3 days – from Friday to Sunday. Before checking in at our Hotel we visited the local market (it only was a 30 minutes drive from Bolzano). I was hoping for a big market like the ones they have at Lago di Garda. It was pretty similar but I would say only one third of the size. Although I have found some pretty nice pieces.
We checked into our hotel and after we had some coffee and exoplored the city.
After a quick refresh in the hotel we went out to the Forsterbräu for dinner.
They had delicious typical austrian food and they also brew their own beer. This really is a recommendation to visit cause you can sit outside as well as inside (the decoration and atmosphere is so nice) and they also have a small garden in the backyard to eat outside.
On Saturday (our 2nd day) we went back to the city and had a look the church St. Nikolaus (and for some ice-cream). It was pretty impressive. So big and I loved that the front was build of bricks.
We got some souvenirs (since we buy a magnet for our kitchen from every place we went together) and afterwards we went into stores and got some button downs and polo shirts for Florian.
There are so many beautiful park areas in the city centre of Meran. You can stroll around and sit by the fountains or stay in the shadow under big palm trees.
On the evening there was a singer at the hotel´s patio so we had a drink there listening to music before heading out for dinner to a burger restaurant.
The burger´s where amazing and so affordable. They had different types of homemade fries and dips. So delicious.
Unfortunately it started raining so we couldn´t go back to the live music.
The next day we checked out, loaded the car and headed back home.
After 5 hours we where finally back in our own house. It is always nice to get out for a few days and see other places and do other things than you are usually up to but for us it is a reminder how we love are home and being at home.
I liked South-Tyrol a lot but I didn´t love it. In the end is just too much mountains for me. I had always been and will always be a lake/beach girl.
Have you already been there ? What did you do ?
As always thanks for stopping by.
Take care. See you.
How to redecorate your house for summer – tips and tricks….
^platter Ikea / Pineapple Nanu Nana / Yankee Candle Candle Dream / vase Nanu Nana^
^tabelecloth Nanu Nana sold out 🙁 similar on Etsy / cactus Nanu Nana^
^figure Nanu Nana sold out but we also got this solar one^
….
My dining room corner:
I got this super cool table cloth from Nanu Nana with flamingos and palm leaeves. I paired it with a matching decoration in the middle of the table. The cactus figures are also too cute.
My couch area:
To make the couch area a little brighter spot I went with 2 colorful pillows and a matching blanket. The print reminds me of the colorful scenes of a Bollywood movie. For the table I went with color matching vases and of course one of my beloved scented candles from Yankee Candle.
My entry:
The first time I saw this pink flamingo I was head over heels and I totally had to get it.
It makes me smile everytime I enter the house. Such a fun addition to an outside space.
Also it is never to late to get some summer vibes for on the go. What do you think of these super cute covers for your mobile from amazon? Also love this one. Pineapples and flamingos !! Do I need to say anything else ??
What are decoration ideas for your home?
Thanks for stopping by.
Take care. See you.
