Weekly Review #6…

To be honest the last couple of weeks have been pretty boring and I would bore myself reading this but if you had our weather you too just wouldn´t know what to do. It is still to cold and gloomy to stay outside for a long time and there are not many things to do indoor.

We had some carnival parties we couldn´t go to cause the kids have been sick so we tangle from week to week hoping it will get better soon. At some point all the toys are boring and the girls just want to go outside.

Meals

I have patted myself on the shoulder last week for cooking two meals (and having leftover too). Started meal planning again for the next so I can finally get into my groove again. Something just threw me off and I couldn´t get back into my daily cooking. I just didn´t know what to cook cause they girls despised everything and it was all so much work cooking with two toddlers but I think things are gonna change around here.

Hot Dogs – was a huge hit with my husband, the girls only ate the sausage

Hamburger Helper – was a huge hit with the kids, they even ate the leftovers the next day

Fashion

This might have been the last week I am wearing Winter looks. The temperatures will be up to 15 degrees for the most of the next week so I am definitely getting my Spring wardrobe ready to wear. I love layering but I definitely prefer a lighter layer at this point and shoes that are not boots.

Activities

We had our carneval themed Line Dance party on Saturday and we had lots of fun dancing and admiring all the other costumes. The deers with one hunter have been the best group costume.

Today was my MIL birthday and she made this gorgeous cake. It was huge and delicious.

Quote of the Week

Never give up on the things that make you smile.

I have worn this outfit on the weekend and loved it a lot. A blouse and sweater combo is always a good upper body style to build your look upon.

You could have gone with a pencil skirt here or a pair of black leather leggings but I went with a pair of dard washed cropped wide leg jeans.

These are actually my favorite style of pants at the moment and I am wearing them as much as possible. Great to wear with sneakers but also with boots.

A Crunch for Every Season…

….

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not spnosored)

We love our Crunch over here. No matter the holiday or the ocassion, this is always a top seller in our home. It might be the taste – the sweetness from the white chocolate, the crunchiness from the pretzels and puffs and the hint of salt from the macadamia nuts. Whatever it is, it´s highly addictive and a match made in heaven !!!

The 4 key ingredients are always the same

– puffs

– macadamia nuts

– little pretzels

– white chocolate

… and then I add seasonal things. I love to add little chocolate eggs for our bunny bait and sprinkles and M&M´s is vibrant Spring colors like green and yellow. I have also found little carrot sprinkles. How adorable are these.

Monster and Bunny Bait for Halloween and Easter

Christmas Crunch

My favorite Christmas colors are red and green and a frosty white. This is also how our Christmas crunch looks. I add red and green M&M´s to the mix as well as little marshmallows and Christmas themed sprinkles. Can you spot the little trees???

As far as storage goes – if it lasts that long 😉 – you can use some airtight container like Tupperware or Mason Jars. If you want to gift it I would recommend little sheer fabric or plastic bags. You can add tags as well or little cards.

Toddler Art Cart Organization….

….

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

I have shared our art corner in our living room years ago and since we have moved everything into our playroom (reveal coming soon) we have added lots and lots of things to it. I have rearranged it several times but I think it finally looks good the way it is (might change my opinion in a little bit but for now it is all right, also this always depends on what art and crafts materials we have at the moment).

Art Cart Organization

We have the Ikea Rashult cart and it has the perfect size for all of our stuff. It has three stories and we have hanging container on one side to so it holds a lot of stuff.

The hanging container are also from Ikea but you can buy them on amazon or Temu as well.

Organizing has always been my thing but to be honest it is hard with two small children but definitely manageable. So let´s start with the top storey. I have a little wooden divider (it can be also used for mail or clutches) and I have put all of our sticker and drawing books in there. We have a bunch and this ways we can finally see what we got.

On the middle storey I have another divider to hold different kinds of papers/sheets. We also have felt sheets and foam rubber sheets here as well as sticker and a little basket for loose sticker and our googly eyes.

You can find all the small things on the lower level like washi tapes, erasers is cute shapes, stencils and anything else that could find a place in an art cart.

I have got the golden letters on the hanging bins from amazon and it definitely helps to clean up faster and easier when you know where stuff goes.
