I am sharing another look that incorporates a bunch of Red. Red is my favorite color but it doesn´t fit anytime better than during Christmas season. It is just the ultimate Christmas color and adds such a festive vibe.
The plaid shirt is from H&M and I got it some time back but if you are looking on their site now they offer a whole bunch of different plaid pieces and also matching sets which I think is the absolutely best but I can not get anything from it now as my bump is ways to big. But if you aren´t pregnant at the moment make sure to check it out.
To add some coziness to the look I paired the shirt with this long and oversized beige knit cardigan. Super soft and the color is gorgeous. Since the shirt has an oversized fit (if you don´t have a bump) I paired it with a pair of dark jeans and color matching booties.
This would totally work for a casual Christmas day breakfast or brunch. Feeling festive but appropriate.
today we are exactly one week away from Christmas so the coundtdown is officially on whether you want it or not. I have shared a bunch of dressy Christmas day options but I understand that not anyone wants to get dressed up like I do so I am sharing a pretty casual look today.
Red and plaid has always been an awesome combination for the holidays and in order to make it a little more casual gray is the perfect partner. I personally love red year round but it is extra nostalgic during Christmas time.
To add some warmth to the look I added a overlong knit cardigan, a knitted beanie and a pair of black overknee boots. An outfit so nice I have worn it twice and the skirt and turtleneck still fit my bump so I probably will be repeating them again.
I am sharing a bunch of red included looks this week over on my Instagram in honor of Christmas week. A new one every day. Make sure to check it out. Also I am participating in the #31daylipstickchallenge using a different color every day the whole month of December.
I am sharing my last gift guide with you over here on my little blog today and it has been a near and dear one to my heart.
What to gift the expecting mom? The obvious would be something for the baby but that isn´t really what we want as there are a whole lot more opportunities than Christmas for that. If you know a thing that really helps a mom-to be to get through pregnancy by making it easier or more comfortable go for it, but only if you can really recommend it.
Expecting mom´s want to feel beautiful which isn´t always easy during pregnancy as it comes with a bunch of insecurities and bad days so gift presents that don´t add to that. It could be a pretty necklace with the baby´s name on it or a gorgeous shopper bag that could double as a diaper bag. It is not to hard to think of things. Also sets for pampering herself would make a great Christmas present.
I hope you had a great weekend. The only purpose of our weekend was eating. I guess there are days were it is the only thing that sounds great. And oh boy we had a bunch of awesome meals.
Speaking of meals, as you might know I am hosting a family Christmas dinner on the first Christmas holiday each year and I love myself a pretty table scape. I have done plenty throughout the year but one of my favorite is always Christmas. There are just more possibilities for Christmas than any other holiday of the year.
For this years Christmas table scape I went with red as our tree is red as well and I have to admit I wasn´t so happy with my idea at first but found some pretty great pieces on amazon that changed my mind.
The poinsettia table runner is a real beaut and I totally love how it looks with the metallic red plates. From here I decided to go with golden cutlery cause the gold also is in the runner. I had the white napkin rings for ages and never used them cause they never really fit but there is a time for everything and the time is now. To add a playful touch to the table I added candy canes to the napkins. Not only do they fit in theme and color they also add a nice little guest present to the setting.
Also have you noticed our new dining room table. Got it in last weekend just in time for Christmas. It is supposed to fit a lot more people than our white table.
