What to wear to a German Advent Market (lots of Inspo from this years visits)…

Since Christmas is at the end of the week most of the advent markets are coming to an end (of course there are some which are open until the first week of January but the majority is not). I have always loved visiting the advent markets. The smell of the caramelized nuts, the string lights everywhere, the music and festive feelings. This is what really gets me into the Christmas spirit.

But of course there is a catch – they are all outside so most of the time it is really cold (and sometimes even snowing or raining). Throughout the years I may have mastered the way of dressing for the advent markets while still looking festive but keeping warm as well.

Number one thing is staying warm. You can not enjoy anything when you are cold and shaking believe me. It is not the place for pumps and lace. Wear it someplace else.

My number one shoe to wear outside in the Winter are my Ugg Boots. They have never disappointed me and probably won´t ever. Another great piece to wear are warm sweaters, so why not make it Christmas sweaters. They are festive and usually on the thicker side so you can easily let your coat open.

All of my Advent Market looks this year…

Velvet for Christmas Eve…

….

It is the season for velvet. It is soft, warm and luxe which makes it the perfect material for Christmas. The wrap shirt I have gotten has little silver sprinkles on it which adds to the festive character and also makes it super appropriate for New Years Eve too.

Usually I am all for dresses and skirts but creating a festive Christmas look including this pair of red wide leg pants was so much fun too. I am going to wear it on the second day of Christmas festivities.

There are so many options out there to choose from so I would say go for whatever you like to wear and if it is all sparkly and sequins I say wear that thang cause when if not on Christmas.

Festive Christmas Styles – The Nutcracker Ballet…

….

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

This is the most festive time of the year and with it come lots of festivites, parties and ocassions to dress up. This is the most perfect look if you are going to see the Nutcracker – musical or ballet. We do not have anything like this planned but this outfit including the beautiful white sequin skirt will definitely be my Christmas outfit.

I have toned it down a little with the black Christmas sweater. Aren´t the nutcracker and the ballerina just the cutest. To add a little more Christmas to the look I added bright red pumps and a little red handbag.

Now for the bling. How pretty are these big heartshaped rhinestone earrings ? I have gotten them from SheIn a while ago and they are great quality for the price.

Have you guys already planned all of your Christmas outfits ? I definitely have as well as the girls´. Also can´t wait for them to unpack their gifts. It will be sensational this year.

Christmas Day Breakfast – Monkey Bread…

….

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

There is something so special about Christmas morning. Everyone is in their Christmas pj´s awaiting the delicious smelling breakfast from the kitchen to start into the day with lots of excitement and for the children the most important – presents.

I love breakfast. It will be forever my favorite meal of the day and while I have made a breakfast bord in the past there isn´t nearly as much time left to do so with two small children. So monkey bread it will be.

Super easy, super delicious and a hit with small children as well as adults. It is the recipe with the least effort.

Ingredients:

– Sunday rolls dough (I take two with 6 rolls each)

– 1 1/2 cup of sugar

– 2 teaspoons of cinnamon

– 1 stick of butter

– cut each roll up in 6 pieces / toss into a bowl / add 1 cup of sugar and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and swirl around until everything is covered / put into the baking pan /

– melt butter with the rest of the sugar and cinnamon / pour into baking dish over the dough

– bake for 1/2 hour on 180 °

– let is cool down before you flip it onto a plate
