Happy Monday you guys,

it is a great one. The Christmas countdown has officially started. We are done with all of our Christmas tasks over here and enjoying the last with filled with tons of Christmas activites. Today is the annual Christmas party of our line dance group and on Thursday we are going on a dinner Christmas cruise and on Friday we are visiting the Christmas Circus plus I have planned lots of fun little things with my girls at home.

On the weekend we decorated our gingerbread houses and I was looking forward to this for so long cause it is so much fun now to see how well Emilia does decorating now. It is so much fun for her and she is so focused and concentrated. Just loved watching her.

A few years ago I made the dough myself and cut out all the shapes for a complete house but to be honest I am all about saving time and convenience now so I got a premade Gingerbread House kit. I also glued it together with hot glue wich was a game changer. We don´t eat them so it is also safe in terms of that.

I threw away the powdered sugar and the sweets from the kit and made my own royal icing and got some sweets that will work way better. The key is to have sweets or treats that are flat on one side so they are easier to glue to your house.

….

I have a long list of activites planned for this years Christmas time. Emilia has the perfect age to get crafty. I have seen someone make salt dough ornaments on Instagram weeks ago and thought why not. This is the perfect opportunity for us to make something together we can keep but also gift.

So with no further ado, here is how we made our salt dough ornaments….

Ingredients:

– 1 cup of salt

– 2 cups of flour

– 3/4 cup of water

– mix everything together unitl you have a nice dough and then roll it out on your kitchen counter with lots of flour so it won´t stick

– bake for 2-3 three hours on 120 degrees

– let it cool and then start painting or leave it blank, however you prefer it

I used acrylic color cause it is brighter but you can also use water color.

Girl´s Room Christmas Decor and Pink Christmas Tree…

….

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

I just love Christmas decor. No doubt about that. For me it is the most magical time of the year and now that we have two girls who are excited about all things Christmas, glitter and lights it is even more fun.

We have had a little pink Christmas tree for a couple years but to be honest it has outgrown the amount of ornaments we have collected so it was time for an upgrade. The tree I have gotten is 150 cm high and fits perfect into the girls room. Of course it had to be a pink tree and most of the ornamnets are pink or blush as well.

For the last two years we made it our tradition to go to the store and let the girl´s choose two or three ornaments for their tree. This is a thing I cherish so much cause they are so happy to do this every year.

Where to get cute and affordable ornaments

I have looked all over the place to get some more ornaments and I have found lots of cute at local stores like Bauhaus or Tedi but I also ordered a bunch from SheIn.

You can shop the pink tree here, the candy ornaments here, the candy canes here, the glittery snowflakes here.

Most of the shelf decor is from Sinsay and isn´t it so so cute. From what I have seen the overall Christmas trend this year has been Christmas Candyland which is perfect for a girl´s room with all the pastel hues and delicious figurines.

How adorable is this bright red Christmas tree sweater !!! I mean it is all I want in a Christmas sweater – the red color, the Christmas tree embroidery and the sequins. Jackpot!!

The plan was to wear this outfit to go out for coffee into the city but it had snowed all night with no chance to go anywhere.
