Mommy and Me Halloween Costume – The Cats…

I am sharing my second Halloween costume today which should have been a mommy and me costume and yes Emilia is in a few photos but she was not having it so she cried the whole time trying to escape. She hated the skirt and the cat ears although she loved them the day before. Toddlers, am I right?!!!

So yes this would be an adorable idea for a mommy and me costume. It is super easy to recreate and it is also pretty affordable. The black shirts and tight had already been in our closets so we only added the tulle skirts, the cat ears and the cat tails to the mix.

Everything is from amazon and has prime shipping so this would also be a great last minute costume if you can´t deceide until the end or have no time upfront.

To be honest I had so many cute mommy and me things planned but most of the time when Emilia sees the camera she just runs. I have to accept that she is no Instagram baby and I am fine with that cause the ocassional pic is fine with her. Very afraid of familiy pictures we are taking on the weekend.

There are colors you can wear year round and there are colors explicably for Fall. In my opinion orange, marygold and burgundy are some of them.

I have worn this look a few weeks back but it would still work now, just add a warmer jacket. Fancy patterned shirts are my jam and this one even tops it off. In my opinion shirts with a pattern are as versatile as their plain companions. You have so many colors to choose from and style differently.

Layering with Blazers and Coats…

Fall weather isn´t always sunshine and golden days, there are most certainly days you want to crawl under your blanket and never look back with fog and rain and cold winds so layerin definitely is the key to this.

With all its beauty Fall comes our way it is definitely tricky to dress especially at the beginning. The mornings are frosty but when you are stepping out for lunch you´ll probably sweat a lot in your turtleneck so let´s talk about the perfect Fall jackets.

I for myself love layering and that means I am mostly wearing a shirt or dress with a blazer or cardigan on top and then I add a coat when I am steppping out the door.

For this look I went with a pretty easy base. Black turtleneck, light denim and sneakers. So far it is the most basic combo ever but if you add a plaid blazer for some sophistication and a few coin necklaces for some bling it will rise above your average outift. Looks sporty and edgy and such a great mom look too. I had a feeling all day that Ashley Robertson would possibly wear this too cause I totally felt like it was her style.

And last but not least to add some color the coat I went with is in this gorgeous marigold shade (with a hint of orange). The perfect piece for the inbetween weather. Looks much more like a teddy coat than wool IRL.

Dress and Cardigan – a Dream Team for Fall…

so we are walking into another week and it has been fun so far, not. I had to make a ton of calls and get all kinds of forms. It is going to be so much fun filling them all out.

But let´s talk about more fun stuff like cute Fall outfits and Autumn leaves everywhere. I had an appointment in the morning and the temperature was below zero so we are in fact in the middle of Fall.

The look I am wearing above is most likely my Fall / Winter uniform. I love wearing a dress with a cardigan/blazer on top plus a pair of cute booties (tights optional). Burgundy has become one of my favorite Fall colors over the years.
