Hi dolls,
(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)
with the beginn of summer we are craving light and refreshing drinks the minute the sun goes up. I have to admit I am not a big fan of mixing juices or cocktails. It is just too sweet and I don´t like it at all but I am a wine lover and I have found a great option.

A dry rosé wine, Schweppes Russian Wild Berry, raspberries and mint leaves – this makes the perfect symphony for your taste buds. You can mix it however it tastes best for you so now meassuring. I mixed two-thirds wine with one third Schweppes.

Speaking of perfect – how beautiful are these glasses and the carafe. The golden palm leaf print is so aborable and it is the perfect set for summer. This adds so much chic to dining outdoors and they are definitely a highlight in your glass cabinet.

I also got this metal tray for carrying all the glasses but it would also make a nice piece of decoration.

What are your favorite refreshments for Summer ?

Thanks for stopping by.

Take care. See you.

Casual Saturday #6….

….

Hi guys,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affilate Links-not sponsored)
I love the Summer months for so many things but first and foremost cause there are so many things to do and live is happening outside again.

We finally set up our patio last week – I also wrote a post about it here -so we are sitting outside most of the time. Making BBQ´s, chatting with the neighbours, Chloe loves her little “pool” and just enjoy the warmth and the sun. This adds so much more quality to our spar-time it is insane.

As you might know I took a week of last week and we got lots of things done like going to places nearby I wanted to see for a long time or spending some hours at Ikea to get shelves and storage systems for our pantry/laundry room.
Food:
I tried out three new recipes. Let´s start with the sweets. This strawberry buttercream cake is so so good. It tastes like ice-cream. I got this recipe from Monika Hibbs blog (a canadian lifestyle blogger) and it is amazing.

Another thing I tried is this marinated asparagus. I saw this on an Instagram story and I had to try it cause I love green asparagus. The marinade is so easy. Just put some olive oil, salt, pepper, minced garlic and balsamic into a bowl and mix it and leave it there for about and hour. Then bake it in a pan for about 15 minutes until the consistency of the asparagus gets a little softer.
The third dish I made are these spinach – salmon – feta noodles. They may look a little strange cause of the green color but the taste is great.

Home:
We got two new shelves for our laundry room to at least create the illusion of looking tidy. Most of the time it is a mess in there. I just need this place to “housework”.
But now I set the focus onto the wall with the decoration so no one is looking on the floor anymore – hopefully.

Shopping:

I had been searching for a “blog bag” a long time. By “blog bag” I mean a big shopper which stands by itself and carries my blogging stuff like my calendar, notebook, camera, external hard drive and so on. I got this one from LYDC. I really like their bags and I am glad I found this one. The size is perfect for all my things and isn´t the pattern just cool.
I also like this and this one.

I also got a new leather jacket  Mangoon collection in a kind of a used sand color. I have been eying with this one since two months and on Friday the price was finally reduced in stores so I went for it. It is such a soft and thin leather and I love the smell of a new leather jacket. They also have it in a blush tone. So now I am hoping for cooler temps to wear it – no just kidding 🙂

I have been looking for a new foundation and after using this little sample from the Dior Forever foundation I am totally into it. Definitely going to order this one. Another thing I found and I couldn´t be more happy is this hairspray from Living proof which provides frizz. Since it started to have kind of a tropical climate here (this didn´t exist a few years ago) I am started to look for products like these and I found the perfect one through coincidence on Gal meets Glam. You can read the full post here.

TV:
I didn´t watch anything new. Since the temeratures are so high we are outside the whole evening. Taking blog pics, dining outside, playing with Chloe, enjoying the sun.
Florian started Better call Saul… yet another laywer series but I think he really likes it.
I also updated my pages on the blog. I have a trend section for a little while now so head over if you are interested into the latest trends.
I hope you had a nice week and having a great weekend.
Thanks for stopping by.
Take care. See you.

Casual Saturday #5….

….

Good morning and happy Saturday,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affilate Links-not sponsored)
I am really happy today cause the temperatures had been in the high twenties the whole week which means sandals and dresses as much as I can wear.

The next week means spare-time for me and Florian is still at home (until the 31st) so we planned lots of fun things to do. We planned on visiting a famous lake near Munich and a botanical garden with a chinese inspred temple.

Yesterday we had our first garden party on our patio. After setting up our furniture and getting everything ready outside we officially opened our patio. It was a really nice evening, having a BBQ with friends, good food, drinks and good weather. That is how I like my Summer evenings.
I didn´t have too much work upront. The flowers where made by a local florist and I only had to “cook” the salads.

We didn´t really do so much cause I had some migraine episodes all over the week. Really bad ones. I especially hate when they are starting at night cause you can´t prevent the pain before it gets really bad so that you wake up from.

On another note I now have a shopstylecollective widget on the bottom of most of my posts which makes shopping for you a lot easier but I still have linked all the items in the text too.

Food:
So because I was ill most of the week I didn´t try anything new or really cooked as much as usual and nothing special at all.
But I made a “Bellinie cake” with peaches and champagne yesterday. It is one of my favorites cakes. It is pretty simple to make but it takes some time to get all the ingredients together.

And the other foods I made are the salds for the BBQ. They aren´t as simple as salad may sound.

 – an Italian noodle salad with pesto

– a gnocchi salad with parmesan and basil

– a greek salad

(this cute oil & vinegar set just arrived in time from amazon)

and another dish I made are baked potatoes with bacon, cheese and leek.
Got this one from Instagram and it is simple, delcicous and makes a perfect side dish for a BBQ.

Reading:
I got the latest Instyle magazine and there are some amazing pieces like off-shoulder shirts, lace shirt and pretty sandals.

I also found a new blog (well, not new but new to me). It is about lifestyle, food and home decor. The beautiful lady is called Monika Hibbs and her tablescapes are insane. So so pretty.

 Shopping:
I hadn´t been interested in much this week but I am eyeing with these pink block heels sandals from even&odd. Arent´t they pretty and the color is so beautiful. Perfect for Summer.

Also really pretty is this shopper from LYDC and this off-shoulder top from Vero Moda.

Things are pink over here this week.

TV:
In fact there wasn´t a thing I watched this week. To much to do. Too tired. I wanted to be outside the few hours I had left in the evenig as the weather is so nice.

 Home:
My bedroom tour post went up on Wednesday. You can read it here.

Thanks for stopping by.

Take care. See you.

Casual Saturday #1….

….

Hi guys,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Post contains affiliate Links-not sponsored)
I am starting a “Casual Saturday” posts series today. I was thinking about how I could give you a little more information on what I am doing or what I like which is not related to fashion but still shows who I am and what I like to do. Not everything about that is breathtaking but maybe you are interested in more information of our habits and go-to places.

Let´s see …

TV:
We finished Big little lies on Sky last weekend and I must admit first I had second thoughts if I would like it but after the second episode I was blown away and I loved it. Florian also liked it and we guessed back and forth which one of them could be the murdered one. Fantastic!!

Now we are on Season 2 of The Good Wife on Netflix which I really like a lot but there are already 7 seasons and no sign of stopping.

Food:
I found a new recipe which I immidiately tried out because I was so curious if I could do this too. The caprese stuffed balsamic chicken by cookingwithmima. This was so easy and so delicious. I made a salad with the rest of the dried tomatoes and baked potatoes as a side dish.

We also went to an Italian restaurant for dinner last weekend because Florians uncle who works in the Arabian Emirates came by for a visit. I had a seafood plattern which was beyond good – didn´t expect that since it was such a small restaurant.

I made chocolate chip cookies for Sunday. I got this recipe from High Road in High Heels and they turned out perfect. This really is the perfect cookie recipe and I just can recommend it to anyone else. Easy and so delicious!

House:
We bought a grill for the patio so this is coming together (very slowly) – I am doing a post about that when we are totally done (we also have a solar light in the shape of a flamingo – love this one, a few plant pots and a planter staircase with colorful little plant pots). We also headed to Ikea to get a table with matching chairs set. Our car hasn´t been this full for quite a while now.

And I am still looking for some things for our office at home. I wanted to shoot an office tour way earlier but in fact we used this room as storage room during the Winter months so I had to clean up first before I could overlook what is still missing but this is coming to an end very soon.

I ordered a new rug from Otto – a white one with colorful splashes – for my dressing room.

Thinking about getting another one for our bedroom.

So there was just furniture this week. I hadn´t even time to look at anything else. No drug store tour 🙁 or anything else.

Music:
I ordered a old Taylor Swift CD from Amazon (as she still isn´t on Spotify), the album is called RED. I loved to listen to it earlier but I couldn´t find it after I moved. Now I am singing to songs like “The lucky one and Red in my car (only with the windows closed). Although I haven´t found anything new which I really liked.

Hobby:
I got my bronze badge in Line Dance last Saturday. So cool. I am so happy cause I was so nervous upfront. We had to dance three dances to different songs and the jury decided whether you made it through or not. Since it was “only” bronze the expectations and ratings weren´t that high but it was still exciting.

I am hosting a big family Easter brunch today so I am already busy cooking and decorating while you are reading. I am using the table scape I posted here. Tomorrow is gonna be a post free day – we are heading to another Easter brunch – so we´ll see each other back on Monday.

 So cheers to the weekend.

Thanks for stopping by.
Take care. See you.
