since fall is my favorite season ever. I think this will never change. It starts in the middle of August. I get this itch and then I have to get pumpkin spice candles and suede boots and felt hats and the list goes on and on….

Finally I got to go to a place this year where the foliage was at the peek of its colors as we arrived and it was stunning. I probably was standing there with my mouth open half of the time and just starring how beautiful mother nature created fall season at some places.

We went to the black forest a day before we got the Europa Park Rust (post will follow next week) and it couldn´t be a better start at all. I planned on apple picking the first day but of the cold weather in spring there wasn´t much to harvest cause all the blossoms died so they couldn´t even become fruits. 

So we went up to an old ruine. It was so dreamy. The little old castle up high between fog and colorful leaves. We went there for coffee and a little exploring and after that we headed to a city nearby called Weil der Stadt. I have never heard of it before and it was one of the cutest cities I have ever seen. 
Lots of pretty old half-timbered houses and a castle wall around it. Also they had such a beautiful church in the city centre. 
 We walked around and had dinner at a small restaurant. The food was typical for this area. I had roasted meat and bohemian dumplings for dinner which where delicious.

Do you have any plans for the weekend ? I am glad we are back home. I have to catch up on some work and unpack and do the laundry first. 

Also I am going to make sugar cookies this weekend. So stay tuned for that.
