Good morning you guys,
(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)
it almost feels a little silly to post this look today but I had planned this post including the outfit about ten days ago and let me tell you it had been freezing cold the day we shot it but since Friday we do have almost 30 ° C outside.
Although I am sure that it isn´t going to stay hot and sunny forever and that the climate of my readers might be different wherever they are. And also I am talking wardrobe basics today so they won´t be outdated or out of style until you will be able to wear them. My favorite three pieces to long for when I have absolutely no idea what to wear (happens more often than you think) are a fitted pair of denim, a fresh and crisp white blouse and a timeless trenchcoat. You can wear them together or individually, it doesn´t matter, they always fit.
A white blouse is one of my alltime feminine and chic staple. It literally works with every other piece of clothing. The style and cut options are endless as well as the opportunities to combine them. Also easily to dress up and down. You can never go wrong by wearing a white blouse. NEVER.
blue fitted ankle cut jeans
A pair of denim is another staple piece which you can wear year round if you want to. If you want your pair to fit in 99 % of the surroundings or/and ocassions I would go with a dark pair without any distressing. I for myself picked a ankle cut cause I like it the most but you could also wear a normal lenght. A pair of dark denim is perfect for date nights, or evening events like movie, dinner or a visit at the museum. Just throw over a blazer or a fancy silk top or a crisp white blouse and put on a pair of strappy heels and you are ready to conquer the night. Same pair of jeans on the next morning, dressed down to run a ton of errands. Wear your favorite graphic tee with a cozy oversized cardigan, a large tote for to fit in lots of stuff and a pair of comfortable mules or ballet flats and your errands will fly by.
A beige trenchcoat has always been a timeless staple to me. A few years ago it was really hard to find a nice one but the fashion world has rediscovered the versatiliy and charm of a pretty beige or nude colored trenchcoat. I am really glad they did cause this coat works like a charm with a ton of outfits. Although there are a ton of different designer on the market you can invest in a high-end piece because the style is definitley going to stay and it will still be a classic in 50 years so you could give it to your children as well as a family heirloom.
