Happy Monday you guys,

(

despite all the craziness going on in the whole world due to the Corona Virus I decided to keep my normal schedule around here. After all this is my little happy place on the internet and I hope it brings you as much pleasure as myself and also some kind of distraction.

I love testing out new products and following new trends not only in fashion but also in terms of beauty products and there is one thing I found during the last few months that has gotten a lot of attention are cleansing balms.

I decided whether to go with the flow and purchase the Elemis prodcut I have seen everywhere or do my own research and get a different cleansing balm to test. I went with the Biotherm Total Renew Balm. I was sceptical first but I quickly learned to love the product and that changed my whole evening routine a little. The balm is white and firm at first but after you are applying it onto your skin it gets super velvety and clear and totally melts of the make-up off your skin. This is the first product that ever had this effect. I was seriously blown away. I use it all over my face and massage it onto my skin and after that I wipe it off with a washcloth.

To make sure all of my make-up is removed I use the Neutrogena facial water. Before doing that and if you want to be a hundred percent sure you could also double cleanse with a face foam. I do that to when I was wearing a ton of make-up to get me through a whole day or night, depends on what I was doing.

After that I spray the Clarifying Facial Toner from Dr. Hauschka all over my face and let it air dry. After that I am applying my Rituals face cream for the night and an eye cream (not pictured her but I am using the Vichy Liftactiv Yeuxes most of the time). Once a week I use a face serum and a peeling too.

My face routine is quite simple and takes about five to ten minutes every evening. I am doing this every day no matter how tired I am or how late it is and I have to admit I have seen my skin change to the better and it has also helped me to have great skin during my pregnancy.

Now we are watching another X-Men movie and having dinner. Self quarantine is in full mode over here and we plan to stay in unitl the baby gets here (only exception are my weekly doctor´s appointments). I still have some blog work to get done before the baby arrives and I am also planning on scheduling a bunch of posts for you during my break.

See you tomorrow my lovely ladies.

Good morning ladies,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

since being pregnant I have been thinking a ton about what to eat that my baby also gets the right ingredients and stays healthy in there cause everything I take to myself the baby also does. The same goes for beauty and skincare products. The skin is absorbing over 50 % of the ingredients you put onto it so your products better be pregnancy safe and non-toxic cause it gets in your cycle no matter what and it will maybe affect your baby.

I have been searching the web up and down and reading / comparing articles and ingredient descriptions as intense you could think I want to become a professional chemist. But now I know what I am safe to use and what not. Which substances are okay, great and forbidden.

Disclosure: I am in no way a doctor or have any medical knowledge. I did my own research for this blog post and read a lot on the internet, I also asked my practitioner if it was fine to take these products and she ended up giving me green light but I would suggest to ALWAYS talk to your doctor first. You can make a preselection by yourself but I would definitely get the products approved before using them on a daily base.

Cleanser

Biotherm Total Renew Balm // The BEST cleansing balm I have ever had. It totally melts off the make-up of your face. I haven´t found anything that cleaned better than this so far.

Nuxe Micellar Foam Cleanser // Awesome smelling face foam (you can totally smell the roses) that actually doesn´t dry out your skin while you are cleaning it.

Toner

Neutrogena Skin Detox Micellair Water // I have had the Hydro Boost toner before but they discontinued it so I went with this one. It fullfills the same purpose.

Dr. Hauschka Clarifying Toner // I really love this product and have been using it for years, even before I was on the hunt for clean products. This product has absolutely made my skin better and I use it after cleaning my face and before my face cream in the mornings and at night.

Eye Cream

Neutrogena Hydro Boost (not picutred here) // Needed to switch eye creams cause the last I have used included Retinol which is an absolute no-go when you are pregnant.

Serum

The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid // I have heard a lot about this company before I have even ordered anything. They are super affordable and almost to good to be true. I have a bunch of their serums but the only one I can use for now is the Hyaluronic Acid cause it is a product of your own body.

Kiehl´s Midnight Recovery Concentrate // I ordered this even before I was pregnant and thankfully I am still able to use it as all the ingredients are considered to be pregnancy friendly. The serum contains a bunch of essential oils which makes the smell so so good. It also leaves your skin super soft. I use the serums two times a week and so far they work great.

Moisturizer

Rituals The Ritual of Namasté 24h Hydrating Gel Cream

Rituals The Ritual of Namasté Hydrating Overnight Creme // Rituals has been a go-to around her for many year and I always loved their products. They are a little pricey but they hold up so well and are made of awesome quality so I don´t mind about that. It was just recently that I discovered their skincare series and I loved it right away. The smell of roses is awesome and the face cream goes on really smooth and doesn´t feel greasy at all. I have the duo for day and night. All of their products are natural and Rituals even offers a mom and a baby line if you are interested.

Face Oil

Dr. Hauschka Clarifying Day Oil // I have read about this on Helena´s blog (The Brooklyn Blonde) before, she adds one drop of face oil to her foundation everyday. I have tried it and loved it. My foundation goes on very smooth now and it doesn´t look cakey at all throughout the day. Definitely worth a shot.

Face Mask

Kiehl´s Turmeric & Cranberry Seed Energizing Radiance Masque // The best smelling face mask I have ever had, fruity but also relaxing in a good way. It includes little particles of cranberry seeds that have an exfoliating effect to your skin. The little can doesn´t include a lot but it is definitely worth a try as it is that good.

Dr. Hauschka Clarifying Clay Mask // Comes as a powder and you have to mix it all by yourself but this makes it even easier cause you can create the consistency and the amount you want to. All of Dr. Hauschkas´s products are natural and therefore perfect for pregnancy.

Pixi FortifEYE Firming Eye Patches // Love to use eye patches cause they instantly make you look fresher after using them. I am planning on storing them in the fridge and using them after every long night I have with our sweet baby girl.

These are all the products I have used and loved so far since I am pregnant. I haven´t tried out anything new after I found a product that I was able to use.

….

Hello and welcome back to my blog,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

since I haven´t done much to review the year of 2019 I decided to at least share my favorite in 2019 discovered beauty tools with you. They all have helped me tremendously in getting ready everyday and overall made life a lot easier.

So I am starting right away.

Top 6 Beauty Tools of 2019

One Step Hair Dryer Brush // I have seen the Revlon one step hair dryer brushes all over and everybody who was testing it was quite satisfied so I finally wanted to order one for myself and guess what – they had been sold out everywhere I looked so I went on amazon and found this dupe version of it for a much better price and I love it. I can´t tell if it has the exact same amount of power but it looks very similar and the end result is the same. I always hated to dry my hair after washing it and went to bed with wet hair an uncountable amount of times which ended in really bad hair or still wet hair the next morning. So this tool definitely makes my live easier and it does it quick too.

Mini Fan // This helped a lot to dry my setting spray after doing my make-up and I use it every time. Saves a lot of time.

Remington Hot Rollers // I had these for a  few years not but started using them again a lot this year. They are the easiest way to get a lot of volume into your hair that stays the day.

T3 Curling Wand // I actually got this for Christmas last year and it has been my most used tool ever since. I curl my hair once a week and my curls last about 4 to 5 days. The wand has three different barells but I only used the middle one so far. This product is pricey but in my opinion it is totally worth it.

LED Make-Up Mirror // Great tool if you are doing your make-up in dark spaces or in the early mornings were there is no light at all. I have a very similar version to this mirror and use it daily. It runs on batteries but they last pretty long. It has a touch screen and also comes with an extra mini mirror with a 10 times enlargement.

Jade Roller // A jade roller is the perfect tool if you want to depuff your eyes in the morning and also get the eye cream in really deep. If you store it in your fridge it is even better for your under eye area as the cold helps with the swelling and shrinking your pores. They are super affordable but of course you can also get the crystal versions for a lot more money. They look cute but I honestly doubt that they have a different effect.

Most of the pieces are off from amazon which means they are in for prime shipping. I am going to do another tops from 19 post regarding my personal best beauty products for you.

My experience with Jackie Giardina´s #31daylipstickchallenge…

Maybelline Sensational Spices – Hot Sauce

 Hi you guys,

(post contains affiliate LInks/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

in the month of December I participated in Jackie Giardina´s #31daylipstickchallenge on Instagram and it was just what I needed. She has done it before and I wondered if I could be this consistent a whole month especially now that I am home already waiting on the baby. This was perfect cause it gave me a reason to dress up everyday and not wear my Christmas pj´s through the whole month of December all day every day. Also I have worn some lipstick colors I bought some time ago but stopped using for some reason. This is the main reason of the challenge to use the lipsticks which aren´t usually your first choice. Perfect for me as I own tons of lipsticks but tend to wear the same ones a lot. I think I did a pretty good job. My challenge contained a lot of different red shades as it was Christmas month and I also love a rich red color.

I joined in on day 5 cause I haven´t noticed it earlier and I think it is really cool that everyone who wants to can participate. I am definitely going to join another round if there will be one. All of the lipsticks I used are linked under the pictures or in the widget below.
