Where are my Halloween loving ladies at?

Halloween is in about three weeks and it definitely is time to start prepping now. Whether you want to decorate, invite to a party, prep your costumes or make cute Halloween baskets for your kids.

I really enjoy making themed baskets for my little one but that shouldn´t be a surprise at all cause I love everything with a theme. You can read more about my Valentine´s Day and Easter baskets here and here.

Halloween Toddler Basket

So what to put into a Halloween toddler basket ? Well there is always the same order I follow. I get a basket (of course) and then I start with a book and usually a little stuffed animal. I also like to give out little toys but switched it for a cute ghost t-shirt. If she would be a little older I would officially go with Halloween candy but since we are trying to give her food with less processed sugar I went with a smoothie pack. She loves them and they also have great autumnal flavors with sweet potatoe, pumpkin and vanilla.

The baskets I have are from a local dollar store but amazon has similar ones and I am sure your dollar store has them too. Another thing I got for Emilia was a coloring book cause she really likes to color the last few weeks but it definitely isn´t one for a toddler. It doesn´t look nearly as cute on the inside as it does on the outside. Gonna keep it for a few years until she learns how to write since it is all about the ABC. Also last but not least (another dollar store find) cute 3D stickers. She never had sticker but I thought they would fit perfectly into the theme and the basket of course.

So since Emilia is still a little thing I don´t think we are going trick or treating this year. Do you have any plans for Halloween ?

Halloween Costume Idea – The Roaring 20´ s…

….

Happy Friday ladies,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

I haven´t planned on sharing this costume or a single costume at all but we are invited to a roaring 20´s themed birthday party and we had to get some cool theme matching stuff asap.

The Great Gatsby has been one of the movies I admired the most. The costumes, the music, the party, the stunning decor – everything was on point. 20´s parties have been all the rage since a few years. Who doesn´t love the mix of black and gold. It looks mysterious, expensive, sleek. My first idea of our wedding also was a Gatsby theme but I went with Fall because that´s my favorite and the reason we got married in September.

So for this look I went with a sequins and fringes dress I got from SheIn. It has the most beautiful cream color. Accessories are my favorite things to add and this era was nothing short of them. The pearl necklace, the headband and the gloves are all from SheIn and the super cool black feather boa has been an amazon find.

All in all I am very happy with my look and can´t wait to wear it out on the town. 😉 Can you tell we don´t get out much often.

Since all of the pieces are from SheIn / amazon it is a total affordable look and definitely could be worn to another party as well.

Here are the exact things I got plus some really pretty pieces available on amazon.

Dress / pearl necklace / gloves / rhinestone headband

Happy Tuesday ladies,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

today was the official start of school and I have seen so many cute little ones excited for their first day and all that comes along with it.

Most of the parents also started working again after a long Summer break so I wanted to share some really fun and beautiful office gadgets to make back to work more bearable. I for myself am still on maternity leave so everything I got to do on the computer (personal things, bank stuff, blog work) I do right at my little desk in the living room (we have a room we use as an office but since Covid hit us my husband is using my brand new office as his – you win some you loose some am I right?!).

Since we all spend so much time at our desk we definitely should invest in the little things to make it look cute and put a smile on our faces while working.

Are you back to your office or are you still working from home?

Best of Summer Activities and all we did this year…

….

Happy Friday you guys,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

I know it is September already but in many places it is still sunny and warm and it´s also pretty nice around here too. So if you aren´t in total Fall mood already, maybe you can find one or two of our Summer activities you’ll want to try.

Summer Activities to try

Visit the swimming pool // We went there countless times and Emilia always had so much fun. She loves the water and being outside plus we always have fries for lunch when we are swimming.

Go out for drinks // Take on those warm Summer nights and go out to town and treat yourself for a cool delicious drink. It will be cold and dark soon enough.

Visit a theme parc // We went to Pullman City – a western themed little city where you can do as much as possible Wild West things. Literally everything fits seamlessly together. We went panning for “gold”, watching a horse show and had a cowboy lunch in a real saloon. Emilia enjoyed it very much cause there was so much to see for her.

Visit a corn maze // I have had this on my bucket list for years and we finally made it. It was a hot day and I would not recommend going without a hat or sunscreen but other than that is was perfectly fine. The corn is really thick and high and we literally had no idea where we were most of the time.

Visit a farm // We actually went there on Wednesday with all of the moms from our playgroup. It was so much fun for the children to run around and see actual cows and the coolest thing about it has been the café right above the stables.

Try water sports // I wanted to go stand-up paddling for about 6 years now and somehow never thought about in the Summer months but this year my husband and I just went and we had a blast. It was so much fun. We did very well and paddled pretty good at the end. Also I only fell in once.

Take a day trip to another city // Choose a city nearby and just go there for the day exploring. We went to the Tegernsee and it looked so much libe the ocean there we instantly felt like on vacation.

Spend a weekend away // We went away for a weekend of family fun to the Bavarian Forest and it was great. A nice change cause we haven´t been away for quite some time and Emilia saw and experienced new things.

Spruce up your garden and stay home // If you are planning on going nowhere how about adding some great stuff for your kids to your garden like a sand box, a kids pool or a splash pad and a swing. You can spend weeks there entertaining them cause they won´t get tired or at least Emilia doesn´t. She loves her sand box and can spend hours in there.

Go to the zoo // Emilia loves all kinds of animals and this was the perfect way to show her all the animals from her books in real life. She was most interested in the meerkats.

Do cultural things // Only about 40 minutes away there is a temple complex inspired by all of the temples in Nepal. Beautiful gardens and new cultural facts to learn about the country and the monks are behind every corner.

Some other things we didn´t do but would be fun I guess:

Climbing forest, go on vacation, parasailing, camping,
