….

Are you feeling festive already ? I definitely am but haven´t started until the beginning of December. I went through my closet and pulled out all of the red and plaid pieces I could find.

For today´s post I wanted to share a cute casual look for Christmas day. It isn´t super casual but in comparison of all sparkly sequin dresses I would definitely say it counts.

I went with the red plaid scarf and built the look from there. The colors I picked are all in the scarf. The vibrant blue turtleneck shirt matches perfectly with the scarf and the white faux fur vest adds the perfect touch of cozyness and Winter.

Since I haven´t worn heels in quite a long time (thank you snow) I was very pleased to add them to this style plus the streets had been cleared of the ice and snow. This would definitely be a great look wherever you are on Christmas day – out for brunch with your husband or our for lunch with your girls or out for hot chocolate with your little one.

Have you started outfit planning for the holidays? I am going to share a lookbook next week for the gal who doesn´t want to wear a dress for the holidays plus I can´t wait to share my dress for Christmas Eve.

Hello friends,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

I can´t believe it´s only the first week of December and we already got our Christmas cards printed and ready to send out. How in the world did this happen while chasing a busy toddler!!!

This is the fifth year in a row we have ordered our Christmas cards from kartenmacherei – an online shop where you can choose from the pretttiest designs. They started with a few and now have tons of different ones to offer.

Our card is called Festive Forest and it has the prettiest gold sparkles all over. We added three pictures, one big at the front and two inside which is totally enough but always hard to pick from.

I went with a forest theme this year as our pictures where taken in October and there are leaves and Fall everywhere around us. Next year I am going to try and get some snow in the pics. We´ll see how this turns out.

Houndstooth Cardigan and a Wrap Dress…

….

Happy Monday you guys,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate LInks-not sponsored)

now that the snow has melted I can finally wear some nice shoes again (it was pure chaos on the weekend with snow and then rain and then of course ice everywhere – these are the parts I definitely do not like about Winter) and plan my outfits for the following days. With Corona still present in our lives there isn´t much we have planned for the week or the weekends but this does not dampen my Christmas spirit this year.

So for the sake of the season I am starting on posting Christmas related looks today. This cardigan is so so pretty. It is a heavy knit and the deep ruby color plus the houndstooth pattern add such an elegance to the piece. I went with an all black wrap dress and a pair of block heel booties.

It is an old cardigan I never came around to wear and now I just can´t understand why because it is a great piece. I am going to link as many similar options as possible. The wrap dress is an old H&M sale find but if you have a great wrap dress in your closet hold on to it as long as possible. It is one of the few pieces that will never go out of style.

Are you still wearing all your dresses in Winter by adding cozy knits, fun tights and chunky boots or are you completely switching to pants??

Christmas Tree Decor 21 – Color Theme Red and Green…

….

Happy Friday you guys,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/

I finally came around to shot a close up of my tree. To be honest I have done many trees the last few years but this years tree might be my absolute favorite – or am I saying this every year!!!

The color concept for our Christmas tree is as simple and classic but as chic and beautiful as possible. It is Red and Green – THE  original Christmas colors in my opinion.

I always start by adding the plain ornaments to the tree and go from there. For this year´s concoction I went with all red and green ornaments. After that I added tartan print bows and glittery poinsettias in green and red. The poinsettias might be my favorite feature of the tree.

Afterwards I go and get our special ornaments like the pickle or the Mickey bubble and place them all over tree. The last thing I add are the lights. They are just clip on and super easy to put on.

I also got some fun things like the candy canes and candies so Emilia can also grab some things from the tree. We also started a new tradition this year. I am letting her pick one new ornament every year (going to write the year onto it) and then place it somewhere on the tree. This will be so much fun and when she is old enough and moving out she can start decorating her Christmas tree with all the cute ornaments she collected over the years.

She was very interested the first two or three days and always wanted to grab some ornaments but now she only wants to turn on the lights of the tree and look at it.
