I am hitting my 33 week today and wanted to share my second trimester with you. I have also done this with my first trimester and if you are interested you can read it here. I am so excited that in a few weeks I am going to meet this sweet little girl and she is going to be all ours. My doctor´s appointments are now every two weeks which gets me so excited but also a little anxious about the birth. I have prepared a lot. The nursery is almost ready, just neet to hang some things and I have washed all the baby clothing and bedding and I also started on packing my hospital bag and the bag for the baby so I am really prepared over here which is great cause it takes a lot of my stress away.

So how have I been so far:

18 weeks

19 weeks

20 weeks

21 weeks

23 weeks

25 weeks

27 weeks

My feelings

I have been feeling alright in terms of physical symptoms but I had some weeks inbetween were I was super nervous about the baby coming too early. I really don´t know why but I guess maybe it was one of the complications which would be super bad. Other than that I just can explain it with crazy pregnancy hormones.

What I am looking forward to every day is to feel the baby kick. It is such an incredible feeling. 

My aversions

Most of my aversions have gone but the paper towels and burnt meat is still going strong. Other than that I am feeling fine.

My cravings

This is really new to me cause I didn´t really have any cravings so far but for some reason I am craving sweets since a few weeks now which isn´t me at all. I haven´t eaten chocolate or chocolate bars in a long time and I usually don´t care for them but now I want them really bad. Of course I can not eat them like I want because of my gestational diabetes so I am having some cream cheese with jam and I have also found a protein chocolate cream which isn´t that bad. Another strange thing I have eaten every other day the last few weeks is tuna salad. Why? I have no clue. 

My pregnancy symptoms

A bunch of my first trimester systems have gone but there are also some new ones here. I do have a lot of heartburn now and it gets worse when I lay down at night. Also I can add backpain to my list. I didn´t think the bump is to heavy to carry around but I am probably wrong cause after some hours on my feet my lower back and my rips start to hurt really bad. I still have my gestational diabetes which will last to the very end which means I have to inject insulin twice a day into my thigh. I have gotten used to it but it still isn´t great. 

Another thing I have been noticing is that my feet got wider. Some of my shoes are really tight now which makes me a little sad but hey soon I am going to have a baby so why not. 

I also have been a lot more hungry than I was before since the nausea has faded and the baby has a lot of growth spurts but this leeds to my next problem. I have been constipated a lot lately which is really bothering me as it makes me feel a lot more uncomfortable. Also baby has grown so fast she is up in my ribs a lot which hurts really bad in the evenings. Hopefully she will slide down a little soon.

What I am looking forward to in my third trimester

First and foremost meeting our baby and adjusting to our new normal. And although I like being pregnant my belly is getting bigger by the day and sometimes it really is in my way but I also think it will be really strange when it is gone.
