Wedding Wednesday – our dinner table decoration in the prettiest fall colors….

….

Hi guys,
(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Post enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)
I always loved fall, maybe you have recognized it by my posts. Fall posts are always my most read and also the ones I put the most effort into. The colors of the leaves, the fresh cool air, the mysterious fog and overall the happiness for the holiday season starts.
So when we got enganged last Christmas Eve (wow it already has been a month) I already knew I wanted to get married in fall to have the perfect fall themed wedding.
But let´s go back when I had to decide on the decoration and the color theme. I always wanted a dark orange and a rich burgundy color for my wedding but let´s just say I took a little detour before I finally decided.
Last year was the year of the Great Gatsby or 20´s inspired weddings (almost everyone we knew and the people they knew took advantage of that theme) and so I thought maybe I would love a  black and gold wedding theme full of sequins. Don´t get me wrong I love it at anytime but I ordered many samples for different things I needed and I just couldn´t get into it at all. That was the moment where my rustic and rich colored fall wedding theme came back to my mind and I took it right away.

After that the first thing I did was to order two books I worked with quite a lot (Style me Pretty Weddings and The Knot Ultimate Wedding Lookbook) and the other thing was that I created a new Pinterest board all things fall wedding and finally my decor imaginations came together.

I started of with the wooden discs and the jute table runner. This was the rustic point. Another thing I knew I wanted were plenty of pumpkins. I love pumpkins, not only the shape but the rich colors and also the taste. We have lots of pumpkin patches nearby so the only problem was if they would already be available in the middle of September.
To add some chic to the rustic feeling I got two golden brass candle holder. Each of them was made for long white taper candles. Looked so elegant and so beautiful at night. The windlights had been a DIY project I made with my SIL and tured out very pretty (view the whole post here). So now that all of the decoration is complete the only thing that is missing here are flowers.
All of the flower arrangement were made by a local flower shop I have gotten bouquets for birthdays, Christmas or other special ocassions for year and I absolutely trusted them. And they did not disappoint at all. They made the most beautiful bouquets and flower arrangements I have ever seen.
All the stationery like the table cards, the seating chart and the name cards are made by Kartchenmacherei. de, I have used their online shop for everything I needed this far and recently got our Thanksgiving and Family Christmas Dinner invitations made by them.

Maybe this helped a little if you are planning a wedding. It is safe to say your life is easier if you are set on a color theme. This is probably the hardest decicion since it defines your whole day from flower bouquets to decor to the wedding cake.
I hope you enjoy reading my Wedding Wednesday posts as much as I enjoy writting them for you. Still have two or three in draft I am definitely gonna post. If you want to have a look at what I have already written about head over to the Wedding tab.

Thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.

Lady in Red // Tie-waist midi dress + glencheck boyfriend blazer….

Good morning guys,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

I was just driving to work and it slowly started snowing with the most big and beautiful snowflakes I have seen in a long time and while I was on my way admiring the flakes the radio played Last Christmas. It was so romantic like an in-car sleigh ride (maybe a little strange) and made me realize Christmas isn´t far away anymore (probably should have figured that out sooner cause my tree is up and I have 90% of all the presents but I got caught up in the moment) which made me so happy. Anyways, you wanted to share this moment with you but let´s focus on the topic.

I know I have said it a lot but I am still not tired of it – red is an absolute fabulous color. Not only for Christmas time but also year round but as we are closer to the holiday season now my preffered color is red.

No matter what red hue I just love it and I bet I have every red hue from my closet as a lipstick shade.

This midi dress has been sitting in my closet for very long time but I love wearing it and the style doesn´t get old. The length is great, the tie-waist is growing with you (if you gain a little weight throughout the years) or set a nice focus on your waist. I additionally accented my waist with a slim black belt but that is no must.

The blazer I am wearing was a H&M sale find from last year. I adored it ever since. It has an oversized but fitted shape which makes it the perfect boyfriend blazer. The black/grey and white glencheck pattern makes it super fashionable and also super versatile as it combines very well with so many colors (also perfect to wear with pants view post here)

Adding a beret encloses such a french flair to evey look. And who wouldn´t love that.  I have a similar look posted last year (view it here) and this beret has been in my drawer for years. It is simply chic.

Do also tend to wear more Red during holiday season?

Thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.

Happy Monday guys,
(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)
the start into this week hasn´t been as rough as expected (after last weeks disaster). Maybe I finally get used to the dark weather. Or I woke up during a lighter sleep phase. But anyways I am back with another Thanksgiving look inspiration. Another week another dress but also a very roomy one on the more formal side.

In my opinion green is such a neglected color for the holiday season. Have a look at Thanksgiving for example. We rely on warm browns, deep yellows and all things berry. And although we might decorate a lot in the color green at Christmas only some of us have a kelly green skirt or dress for Christmas festivities.

So I am sharing this gorgeous H&M dress including a huge bow at the neckline. It has a slightly burned in leopard pattern and overall it is very cute. Although my handbag, polka dot tights and pumps are black I opted for heather gray oversized cardigan from H&M. I absolutely adore this piece and have styled it so many different ways already. It is also available in black too but sadly not in beige (which would have been my preferenced second color).

The dress is not available anymore but I have listed a bunch of perfect silhouettes for turkey day to hide all the food.
Are you already preparing for Thanksgiving? Our table scape is set (view post here). I only have to get all my groceries and then I am ready to go.
Thanks fort stopping by. Take care. See you.

Our Thanksgiving table scape and meal suggestions I have tried so far….

….

Happy Monday everyone,
(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links/Markennennung-not sponsored)
given the short amount of time until Thanksgiving I have skipped my posting routine to share my adorable table scape for this years Thanksgiving dinner as early as possible with you. Maybe I can give you some last minute inspiration or meal suggestions (I add a list of what I have tried so far).

I decided to go with all the fall colors this year, my main color is a shade of burnt orange I have always loved. All the colors of the table decor will be found in the table runner. They are from Appelt and if you ask me I would say that they have the best variety on table runners, also the quality is unbeatable.

We have invited only family so there will be Florian´s and my parents and his sister with boyfriend and his brother. I was thinking about the meal a lot but in the end I went with the classics. I have a huge Pinterest board for recipe inspiration where I get some of my ideas and am able to search anything food related.

So for our Thanksgiving dinner I decided to cook with stuffing filled turkey breasts before stuffing and baking a whole turkey. We are definitely for boneless meat over here.

The other recipes I have tried and approved so far are:

– classic traditional turkey stuffing
– rosemary dinner rolls
– grandma´s corn casserole
– brown sugar roasted sweet potatoes
– orange scented cranberry sauce
– roasted onions and chive smashed potatoes

I also tried out this sauce but I didn´t like it so I am still in search of another option.
 Do you have any ?

Thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.
