A 3 Day City Trip to Prague – What we did, ate and what I wore….

In the middle of March my husband and I went to Prague for a 3 day city trip. It has been the first time we went somewhere without our two girls and while it was bitter the very first day we had a great time together as a couple and lots of fun.

It was a very short road trip, only took us about 2 and a half hours to get there (but this always depends on where you are coming from). There was no toll on the road but you have to get a vignette before crossing the border (this is a little sticker you need to have in you car to make sure you are allowed to drive on the interstate).

Where we stayed

This was our second time in Prague (we have been there eight !!!! years ago) and we stayed at the Astoria Hotel, a cute little boutique hotel. There was parking in front of the hotel but we ended up reserving a parking spot in the parking garage around the corner. Breakfast was included and our room was pretty big and the best it was right across the street from an awesome Indian restaurant.

The staff at the hotel was very nice and helpful. Also our hotel was very central. It was just about 5 minutes walking distance to the astronomic clock (right in the middle of the city).

Outfits I have worn

It was a little cold when we got there but the weather improved throughout the first day. Nevertheless we still had Winter coats with us and ended up wearing them at night.

I had a full plan of outifts and loved everyone I was wearing. Initially these have been planned for Rome but we switched cities last minute cause I didn´t want to fly this early in pregnancy.

How on earth is there always a mess somewhere. I have days where I definitely wonder where the messes are coming from cause I am trying so hard to prevent them and I am nearly done with organizing the whole home!!!!

This cabinet has been an eyesore since I have moved all things in there but I was just too busy to come around organizing it until Emilia searched for a specific cap and I have thought we lost it but found it two weeks later.

In fact it is a very simple undertaking ticked of in under 15 minutes if you have everything you need.

I already had two of the wicker baskets and got another two at JYSK. They fit perfectly and are only 11 Euro each, hold a ton and have a handle to pull out.

The tags are an old amazon find I have used in the girl´s room earlier. I didn´t need them much longer so I got some black and writable stickers on amazon and reused them.

These are the tags and these are the sticker. Both are very affordable and hold up really well.

Baby No. 3…

Well what other can I say than horray – the secret is out!!! We are having another baby in the Fall. I still can´t believe it. It has been a little surprise but a great one at the right time. We had to reschedule some vacation plans but other than that I am over the moon happy I get to do it all over but also a little sad cause this will be the last time I am doing it. We´ll see how I feel about that… The girls all will be about 2 years and 3 months apart which is the perfect gap in my opinion. Still little enough to share the same interests at some point but one is also big enough to be much more self sufficient.

Our gender reveal is up on Instagram but I can also tell you that our baby will be a GIRL – another one. It is so cool to have three little girls. Hopefully they grow to be the most loving sister to one another. I already have a concept for her room. We have one room left and I have painted it in the most gorgeous shade of blue years ago. I am leaving the paint color cause I really love it and am going to create a light and airy ocean themed nursery. Can´t wait to start decorating and putting away little newborn clothes.

My morning sickness (which lasted the whole day) and the exhaustion has lifted a few days ago and I can also start feeling baby move the moment I am writting this for your.

All in all I am very hapy how everything is now and am looking forward to be a family of five but we will need another car that fits three child seats in the back and I am also very pregnant over the hottest months of the year. We will see how this goes.

I have loved dressing my showing bump over the last few weeks. Now is a great time to style my favorite things and also clothes that still fit. It will get a lot harder by the end of Summer but I am very positive cause dressing for Summer with all its flattering dresses and dress styles is fairly easy. Maybe the heat will be brutal but I can not foresee how hot it will be now.

We had a few cold days so it was jackets and pants but we are back to Summer weather now. Hopefully the weather will be more steady so we can go paddling or swimming soon.
