Marylin Monroe or also known as Norma Jean Baker is best known for her legendary white pleated dress were she stands over an airschaft (and of course for her blonde hair, red lips, great movies and so much more…) and I have found myself a similar one and styled it for everyday life. I have seen this dress at Zara about two weeks ago and had to hold my breath cause it is so SO pretty. Might be one of the prettiest dresses I got this year and only 20 €. It is also available in a bright coral red and classic black but I went with the original version in white.
How to style it for everyday life?
Every time I want to dress down a dress I reach for a denim jacket. There is something so casual but still dressy about it I can´t get enough. Blue was my shade of choice for this look but I also own one in white and yellow.
An accessory color that always works wether it is blue or white is cognac brown. The color which has been neglected such a long time, came back in style a few years ago and is probably going anywhere ever again. I got this adorable cognac brown macramé handbag from Zalando the other week (it is currently on sale and a dupe for a high end designer version and also one of the sisters of the movie Despite Everything from Netflix is wearing one of these too) and loved it ever since. This is going to be one of my most used Summer handbags. The other cognac brown piece I combined to the dress are my favorite wedges of all time. I go them last year and wore them so often I am surprised they still look good.
