Casual Saturday #5….

….

Good morning and happy Saturday,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affilate Links-not sponsored)
I am really happy today cause the temperatures had been in the high twenties the whole week which means sandals and dresses as much as I can wear.

The next week means spare-time for me and Florian is still at home (until the 31st) so we planned lots of fun things to do. We planned on visiting a famous lake near Munich and a botanical garden with a chinese inspred temple.

Yesterday we had our first garden party on our patio. After setting up our furniture and getting everything ready outside we officially opened our patio. It was a really nice evening, having a BBQ with friends, good food, drinks and good weather. That is how I like my Summer evenings.
I didn´t have too much work upront. The flowers where made by a local florist and I only had to „cook“ the salads.

We didn´t really do so much cause I had some migraine episodes all over the week. Really bad ones. I especially hate when they are starting at night cause you can´t prevent the pain before it gets really bad so that you wake up from.

On another note I now have a shopstylecollective widget on the bottom of most of my posts which makes shopping for you a lot easier but I still have linked all the items in the text too.

Food:
So because I was ill most of the week I didn´t try anything new or really cooked as much as usual and nothing special at all.
But I made a „Bellinie cake“ with peaches and champagne yesterday. It is one of my favorites cakes. It is pretty simple to make but it takes some time to get all the ingredients together.

And the other foods I made are the salds for the BBQ. They aren´t as simple as salad may sound.

 – an Italian noodle salad with pesto

– a gnocchi salad with parmesan and basil

– a greek salad

(this cute oil & vinegar set just arrived in time from amazon)

and another dish I made are baked potatoes with bacon, cheese and leek.
Got this one from Instagram and it is simple, delcicous and makes a perfect side dish for a BBQ.

Reading:
I got the latest Instyle magazine and there are some amazing pieces like off-shoulder shirts, lace shirt and pretty sandals.

I also found a new blog (well, not new but new to me). It is about lifestyle, food and home decor. The beautiful lady is called Monika Hibbs and her tablescapes are insane. So so pretty.

 Shopping:
I hadn´t been interested in much this week but I am eyeing with these pink block heels sandals from even&odd. Arent´t they pretty and the color is so beautiful. Perfect for Summer.

Also really pretty is this shopper from LYDC and this off-shoulder top from Vero Moda.

Things are pink over here this week.

TV:
In fact there wasn´t a thing I watched this week. To much to do. Too tired. I wanted to be outside the few hours I had left in the evenig as the weather is so nice.

 Home:
My bedroom tour post went up on Wednesday. You can read it here.

Thanks for stopping by.

Take care. See you.

Casual Saturday #2….

 ….

 Hi guys,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affilate Links-not sponsored)
last
week wasn´t so much to do like the weeks before (preparing for Easter
and getting the decoration up and the tablescpape set and the menu for
brunch) but we still did something – not only sat on the sofa.

TV:
Still watching „The good wife“ and my favorite movie was on TV so I had to watch this one of course – „The devil wears Prada“. At the end I always wonder if that is how it works behind a fashion magazine. I ordered one of my favorite Disney movie on DVD. I was thinking of starting to collect all the Disney movies and give it to my future children when they would be able to watch and understand. I think that is a sweet idea.
Food:
On
Easter Monday we were invited at Florians´grandma´s house for lunch. I
must admit that I was really glad cause after two days of brunch I
needed a change. She had some kind of serbian sausage with garlic with a
sauce with white beans and a some sort of noodles. This sounded really
adventurous but it was delicious.

And of course I tried out 2 of my saved recipes. First of all the „Easy Garlic Italian Parmesan Rolls“. I love rolls and when they are still warm from the oven you got me. So I had to try these out. Found them on the Blog of Jennca Parcell – A Slice of Style. I really like reading her blog posts and the twins are just the cutest.

The second one is from an Instagram feed I love it is called foodguidevideos. They have short videos on how they make different meals. Once in a while I find one I am really curious about and this is one of them, the Orange Chicken with Rice.

On Thursday we went to my favorite restaurant – the Tiziano in Regensburg to celebrate Florians´ new job. I was eating the baby octopus with the stir fryed vegetables like usual. My favorite dish there.

Wow – this seems like lots of food this week !!

House:
I ordered two more rugs. One for the living room and the other one for our bedroom. I am into colors lately. I had that a few years ago and then I wanted everything in white and a light grey color cause this matches anything but these days I really like a splash of color.

I wanted to set up the patio furniture we got but I got a little quenched by two snow days this week.
Hobby:
Didn´t do this much cause of the Easter holidays there was no training but I am at a Line Dance party tonight. So we´ll see how this is gonna be.
 I
started on planing some one day road trips to places which are nearby
but first of all the weather has to be better. I am not going anywhere
as long as it is still snowing.

Shopping:
I placed a complete order on accessories at Zalando. I am really looking forward on how the pieces are. The main focus is on western buckle belts and waist belts in metallic or rose colors. Since the demand is so huge on belts this Spring and Summer.

And I got those two pretty blouses from the bonprix online shop.

The white one has red stripes and these beautiful ruffled sleeves. This also could be a spanish flamenco blouse. So dreamy.

The black top is more like a tunic. It is longer and is has the beautiful crochet detailing on the sleeves (also wider) and on the hem.

They are just to pretty but it is still so cold that I am wearing a blouse – cardigan/blazer combination almost every day.

I am wishing you all a nice weekend and as always thanks for stopping by.

Take care. See you.

My top 5 restaurants in Regensburg….

Hi dolls,

we all love to go out for dinner (I really do – because I like to cook extraordinary things which means a lot of dirty dishes) so here is a recap of my top 5 restaurants in Regensburg.
Florian and I usually go out for dinner once a week (Wednesday is our date night) and we always take another restaurant to try out new food from other countries or restaurants which just openend. So today I am showing my top 5 restaurants in our area to you where we love to go over and over again.

#1
Kullmann´s Diner
 Best burger in Town

This restaurant really defines a restaurant with great American food for me. The inventory is reproduced like the restaurants from the 60´s with red leather chairs and bar stools. They offer the classics like burgers, sandwiches and chicken wings but they also have a variety on different steaks, lots of delicous salads and many options for vegetarians.
I can recommend the:– Tribeca Diner Sandwich (this was mine)
– Kullman´s Roadside burger (this was Florian´s) – both served with delicious curly fries.

 #2
California Kitchen
Beach House

In my imagination this really could be a cool californian beach restaurant where the surfer crowds stop by for lunch or dinner. Is has this wooden and rustic but still comfortable furnishing. The kitchen is light and mexican infused. They got different kinds of salads, chicken teriyaki, burritos or quesadillas filled with vegetables or beef and homemade sauces and burgers as well.

I can definitely recommend the:

– Caesar chicken saldad. The chicken is so juicy and the dressing tastes really great.
– Old fashioned burger with extra cheese. They have a special burger bun only made for their restaurant and this is so good. Also the sauce on the burger is just created for this one. The whole combination tastes awesome.

#3
Sandwiches and Ale
Marple & Stringer

An apple cider, a wooden rustic inventory and delicious fish & chips – that´s what it takes to visit a good english pub. I first was a little sceptical about this one cause the spot is tiny and pretty old and I haven´t tried English food before but we have eaten there many times since the opening. It is a nice and sometimes welcome change. I can recommend the:

– Fish & chips with 3 different sauces – great to dip
– Pulled pork sandwich – tender meat, a crispy fresh bun, cole and pickles and of course a perfect smoked BBQ sauce

#4
Tiziano Ristorante-Bar
The best Italian restaurant I have ever been to

A small and romantic Italian restaurant with dimmed light and super modern interieur. This is my favorite Italian restaurant in the whole world. The food is so delicous everytime we go there. Usually we are only heading there for a special ocassion since it is a pricey restaurant but this is totally worth it and they are dog friendly.
(Booking a table is highly recommended – they are always full)

I can recommend the:

– Baby octopus with vegetables (spiced so well with garlic and herbs) and the octopus is so soft – just on point. My absolute all time favorite.

– Spaghetti scampi with scampis and a sauce with lots of garlic.
– Fettuccelle mare e monti with zucchini, scampis and tomatoe sauce.
 –  Fettuccine guilietta e romeo is pasta with mushrooms and beef. I don´t like mushrooms at all but this tasted so so good.

Florian ate all the pasta. He is trying out a different one each time we go there but I am always picking out the things I want to try. 🙂

#5
Weltenburger
Homecooking interpreted tasty and new

This restaurant is probably the nearest to the Bavarian food traditions. They serve anything you could think about when you are looking for this direction.
The furnishing is rustic and old-fashioned but this is typical for this kind of restaurants.

They cook traditionally food but with a modern twist. For example I ordered a double-burger and the bun was made of bavarian pretzel dough. So really cool and it tasted great.

I can recommend the:
– Weltenburger,  double Burger made of a pretzel bun with french fries and a tasty barbeque dip
– Weltenburger Beercutlet, a cutlet with lots of fried onions and fried potatoe slices
– Schwabenpfandl, little pieces of pork meat in a sauce made of sourcream, broth and mushrooms and some kind of noodles

They are brewing their own beer which you can also order.

There are many more good restaurants but these are definitely my top 5 I would recommend to anyone and visit anytime.

Maybe when you are visiting my area you can try out one or two. Feel free to contact me if you would like some information.

Thanks for stopping by.

Take care. See you.

London Diary Day 1….

Hi guys,
I guess you already knew that we had been to London a few days ago cause if you follow me around on the social plattforms there was no way on not seeing anything of it.
Hat / Trenchcoat similar here / Leggins similar here / Bag / Booties on sale !
First days in vacation are always a little chaotic. You have to catch your flight, you have to find your hotel and then you gotta start explore your surroundings.
We took an early flight from Munich Airport to London Heathrow Airport. After one and a half hour of flying we were already there.
Then we got from the airport straight into the underground and drove to the Baker Street Station in London City (this was the closest station to our Hotel – only about four minutes to walk). We bought an Oyster card at the underground station. This one is rechargable so you can drive anywhere you like without getting a new ticket all the time.
We stayed at Hotel Americana. As we got this for a Christmas present there was no choosing from our side but it was totally okay. The Location was just perfect. This couldn´t been better.
After a quick resfreh in our hotel we started to go into the City. There wasn´t much time left on our first day. We started to get into the City at about 3 p.m.
We headed down to Westminster which is located in the south from our hotel. We went to Buckingham Palace first. This was pretty impressing. You can´t believe that there are only a few people living. It is guarded on every side by the typical british watchman with the furry hats and by the Police as well.

From there is isn´t very far to Westminster Cathedral so we walked. This church is pretty impressing it on the inside. Doesn´t look so on the outside. That was one of Florian´s favorites.

Next stop was Westminster Abbey where the Kings and Queens of the royal family get crowned. There is also a cemetary for the other british royal´s.

Only a few metres away there is the Westminster Palace with the famous Big Ben tower. This was also the last stop for our first day. Like I said there wasn´t so much time for our first day for sightseeing.

After taking a quick shower at the hotel and changing clothes we went out for a dinner to a typical british fish restaurant. The Mayfair Chippy.

We had fish and chips. This is a must for a stay in London.
Take care. See you.
