I am checking in with one quick and easy but oh so delicious recipe today. I love it this much I already made it twice in the same week. We are talking about spinach mozarella spaghetti.
The recipe itself is super easy and you can adjust it as you like it cause I always put some spicy seasonning into the sauce to make the most out of this simple dish.
So these are the ingredients you need and I bet most of them are ones which already sit in your pantry and wait to be used.
Ingredients:
– spelled spaghetti (you can also use normal ones)
– frozen spinach (about 1 1/2 cup but in fact you can use as much as you like)
– 2 cans of diced tomatoes
– 1 cup of heavy cream
– seasonings (salt, pepper, tomato seasoning and some chili flakes)
– mozzarella (dice it yourself or use the mini mozzarella balls)
– basil leaves to garnish you dish
Instructions:
– cook the noodles al dente
– make your sauce by putting the diced tomatoes, the heavy cream, the seasonings and the spinach into a pan and heat it up, stir ocassionally and taste to make sure you have seasoned right, I would start with a half taplespoon of each
– serve on a nice spaghetti plate and garnish with the diced mozzarella pieces and some fresh green basil leaves
– enjoy
This recipe make a super easy weekday dish. It is done in under 20 minutes and tastes great. You can also double the ingredients to have enough leftovers for the next day.
I am wishing everyone a great weekend and if you are looking for more recipe ideas check out my recipe tab.
today´s topic is eating and drinking at Lake Garda and which places we tried and loved. I have already shared our day in Verona here and I am sharing a summary of our whole stay next week. But you can always have a look at my travel tab too if you are interested in other places we have been to.
Lake Garda is surrounded by several small cities we have mostly visited during our last stays so we know already where to go to lunch and dinner and what we like and what not. So for today´s post I am sharing some of our favorites and also recently discovered ones. This was the first time we haven´t had breakfast at our accommodation so we also ate breakfast someplace else everyday.
I am gonna split it up by cities so you can have a look at which one you are close or which one you want to visit.
Peschiera del Garda:
Breakfast:
3 Sessanta
Opening hours: 6:30 am to 23 pm
Best breakfast spot we could find. We had the pancakes with Nutella and the bacon and eggs. Both tasted delicious and we ate every last crumb. They also have fresh pressed juice and avocado toast. Definitely coming back next time. Also how gorgeous are the big dog statues. Adorable.
Porto
Opening hours: 8 am to 11 pm
We had the brioche (filled croissants)/orange juice/coffee and the scrambled eggs, bacon/orange juice/coffee menu.
Lunch / Dinner:
Restaurant Bella Vista
Opening hours: 12 am to 3 pm / 6 pm to 11 pm
I had the tuna steak with spinach as a side and Florian had the Gnocchi. Both dishes tasted absuletly delicious. We had been last year too and it was great too. Worth a visit.
Bardolino:
Breakfast:
Lido Mirabello Beach
Opening hours: 9 am to 9 pm
We had a piece of apple cake and a ham and cheese toast. They don´t offer real breakfast so this would be everything you can get but the view is amazing.
Lunch / Dinner:
Trattoria Bardo
Opening hours:
10 am to 12 pm
I had the tagliatelle with chanterelles and Florian had a pizza. Both was delicious and the house wine (white) tastes great too.
Sportsmann-Ceola (between Garda and Bardolino on the promenade):
Lunch / Dinner:
Torre al Casello
Opening hours: 9 am to 11:30 pm
We love to come here immediately after we have arrived at the Lake. It is the perfect first meal with the best view. The prices are almost cheap and the service and food is great.
Lazise:
Lunch / Dinner:
Restaurante Classique
Opening hours: 8 am to 12 pm
One of our favorite spots we always have dinner. I had the sphaghetti bolognese and Florian the tagliatelle with chanterelles. For desert I ordered my absolute favorite and it didn´t disappoint – crema catalana. So delicious. You have to try it. Florian took the surprise desert and it came with the best and most flavourful pistacchio ice cream I have ever tasted.
Garda:
Lunch / Dinner:
Cafe Roma
Opening hours: 7 am to 12 pm
We have been here last year and had great memories but this year the food wasn´t that good. I had the tuna salad and the lettuce was very bitter and hard at times. Florian had the spaghetti and said they were okay. Overall you have a great view and the staff is very nice and quick but the food did not convince me this year.
This have been all the restaurants we have been to during this visit. If you are visiting one make sure to tag me in your story or just comment on my Instagram or blog post.
As always thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.
I finally came around to make this spinach dip last Saturday and let me tell you it is amazing. It is warm and cheesy and delicious with or without bread. I really couldn´t get enough and Florian loved it as well. This is definitely going to be made for my next party and hopefully everyone else loves it as much as we do.
For dinner parties I usually serve one dip and this is it for this year. It was super easy to make and much better to eat. Plus your house smells amazing.
The recipe I used for is from Homemade Hooplah and it is called the „Creamy Spinach Dip“ and it absolutely is.
I just added some chilli flakes and a half cup of pine nuts but it will also taste fine without. Make sure to try this classic but not at all ou
Any plans for the weekend anybody ? It is going to be superhot again.
