Happy Friday you guys,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

have you already decorated for Easter or are you still searching for some inspo? I have never been one to overly decorate for Easter. It is subtle but noticeable. You will recognize that Easter is rolling around but it´s no Christmas.

So let´s dive in a little deeper.

My subtle Easter Decor

There are (only) 3 places I decorate for Easter in our home. Our console table in the entry way and two spots in the living room (our dining table and the tray to the right of the TV).

I am mostly using the same decor. I love to decorate with ceramic Easter eggs, bunnies and real catkins. I hang Easter eggs made of glass or plastic on them and that´s mostly it, but that doesn´t its boring.

The ceramic Easter eggs I have decorated at the side of our TV are black and white with polka dots and stripes. The pattern makes a nice contrast with the golden and plain white eggs. Adding flowers makes for a nice decor as well.

Do your love decorating overall or only for certain holidays ?

Wishing you a nice weekend. See you on Monday.

Happy Tuesday you guys,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

Easter preparations are in full swing over here (maybe you have seen it on my stories) and I love it more than I thought. I have never been that much interested in Easter but having Emilia has totally changed my ways. It is her second Easter but the first she may realize what happens – she only was about two weeks old for her last Easter holiday.

I made this small baskets I am going to hide (but in plain sight cause she may not understand the concept of searching yet) for Emilia and I can not wait to give them to her. It is so whimsical to celebrate the holidays with a kid.

How adorable are baby Easter baskets seriously?? Are you planning on hiding Easter bags for your little ones? I basically added the same things as I did in the Valentine´s Day basket. I like to go with a snack, a stuffed animal or a toy, a book and something to wear. These are the components I always try to get for our baby baskets.

What I put into our babie´s Easter basket…

So here is everything I put into the Easter baskets:

Touch and Feel book Fluffy Animals

Playmobil 123 unicorn

Peppa Pig Easter Egg Hunt book

Cute baby socks

The orange basket is from our local drug store and the personalized Easter bag is from an Instragram shop called @nataliezauberhaft

…and just to specify we are only giving one basket to her. The other one is for my great-grandmother to give to her. I also linked the cute Easter eggs for a Easter egg hunt. I am not going to fill them this year cause it is just about the fun and she shouldn´t eat any chocolate as well yet.

Are you in the Easter spirit already? I have a ton of Easter content planned in the next weeks so stay tuned.

Happy Wednesday,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

today marks my last Valentine´s Day post for this year but also the best one too (at least for me). To be honest this was one of the things I got excited when I was pregnant with Emilia. I love to gift little holiday themed things / baskets (not only to my child) to other people in my life but getting baby items is definitely on the cuter side. The little basket is not only for playing / snacking but also a teachable moment. I know she is too small to fully understand what´s going on this year but I also know how happy Emilia gets when I show her a new toy or book she gets to keep so this will definitely warm my mama heart.

Anyways if you are not interested in making the basket by yourself you can skip the next paragraph where I am sharing what you will need to get crafty asap.

What you will need

Congratulations! You are trying to accomplish this by yourself rather than buying. I have to admit I thought it would be super easy but there are definitely some tricky parts. So let´s start with the felt. I got it from an etsy shop. Make sure to get a thickness of 4 or 5 mm otherwise it will be to thin and won´t hold up. You will need a very sharp scissor to cut it. I had to go over to my parents house cause obviously all of ours are too blunt.

The meassurments should be as you need it. I just put down the tallest object which was the book in our case and went with the width plus some additional space of a few mm. You will need three pieces of the bigger parts (front, back and bottom piece) and two pieces of the small parts (the two side pieces). If you want to you can also make a handle but I didn´t do one. Another cute feature I added are the hearts on the back and the front. I got the template from Pinterest.

After you cut out all your pieces it is time to heat up your glue gun. The glue dries fast on the felt so you should work quick. Another tip from my side – don´t use too much glue. It dries white and you will see it on the sides if it leaks. The hearts are higher than the sides but that was intended to add some dimension.

Overall I am very pleased with the look of my little Valentine´s Day basket for Emilia. But to be honest I am sure she is going to rip it apart in no time cause that is what she love to do at the moment. Nevertheless I gave my best to give her a great first Valentine´s Day present.

What to put in the basket

This is the second fun part (maybe a little too much fun for me) – filling the basket. I went with snacks, a Valentine´s Day themed pekaboo book, cute little house shoes with an embroidered heart, a Peppa Pig stuffed animal and a little wooden toy.

I can´t wait to give it to her and see how happy she will be.

Are you planning anything for your kids. Heart shaped pancakes or doughnuts would be so cool too but she isn´t eating any of that yet.

See you tomorrow guys.

With Valentine´s Day right around the corner everything seems to be red and pink so how about a much more moody and dramatic eyeshadow look ?! I got the Urban Decay Naked Reloaded Eyeshadow palette for my birthday and have been playing with it ever since. The shadows are so smooth and highly pigmented that is truly something I love. There are plenty of glittery blush hues, nudes that match everything and mysterious mauve hues.

I am no pro in make-up. I am learning by the day and love to try out new products to see how they work for me.

The shades I used are:

Crease – Burn

Under Eye Line – Angel Fire

Inner Eye – Bribe

Upper Eye – Blur

Highlighting – Angel Fire

In terms of brushes I use the ones I can find in the moment I need them cause somehow they always disappear but for brands I love to use Mikasa and Real Techniques.

We are not going out for Valentine´s Day cause everything will be still closed so I would love to know what you guys are doing? Do you even like Valentine´s Day? I have heard very different opinions throughout the years.

Going to share an adorable kids idea tomorrow to make their Valentine´s Day even sweeter.
