Kennen wir sie nicht alle !! Die eine grässlich gehässige weiße Wand die uns tagein, tagaus anstarrt. Jedes Mal wenn man daran vorbeikommt ärgert sie einen wieder. Was tun fragst du dich?

Streichen wäre eine Möglichkeit, aber so viel Aufwand betreiben? Natürlich schaut so eine farbige Akzentwand klasse aus, doch wer will schon die Arbeit, die Sauerei und den Gestank?! NIEMAND. Eine schnelle Lösung muss her, da sind wir uns wohl einig. Also… wie wäre es mit einer Bilderwand!

Und somit kommt auch schon Dear Sam ins Spiel – ein Onlineshop mit über tausend tollen Postern die es einem definitiv nicht leicht machen sich zu entscheiden. Ich habe auch ewig hin und her überlegt und mich dann für ein „Natur“ Thema entschieden. Meinen Warenkorb hab ich ungefähr fünfmal überarbeitet bis ich dann endlich zufrieden war (es ist aber auch nicht leicht). Und was am allerbesten ist, die Rahmen kann man gleich passend mit bestellen. So spart man sich das suchen im Keller ob man noch etwas passendes zu Hause hat oder doch zum Möbelladen fährt wo man dann den Zettel mit den Maßen vergessen hat und so Pi mal Daumen schätzen muss welcher es sein könnte.

Nach ca. einer Woche waren die Drucke schon da und eins kann ich euch sagen, die Qualität ist wunderbar. Dickes Papier und schöne farbige Aufdrucke. Machen sich super im Rahmen. Diese gibt es übrigens in verschiedenen Farben, passend zu jeder Deko die Ihr schon habt.

Ich habe mich für Schwarz und Gold entschieden, da sich das am besten in unser Wohnzimmer einfügt und einen richtig guten Kontrast zu der Weißen Wand erzeugt.

Die Bilder aufhängen war super einfach. Ich habe mich gegen ein festes Raster entschieden und die Poster versetzt aufgehängt. Ihr könnt aber auch vorher abmessen und mit Malerband abkleben wenn Ihr etwas akkurater haben wollt. Alles easy peasy.

How to style your bar cart for Easter…

how about a bar cart full of candy to enjoy along the Easter holidays ?? Not the worst idea am I right? I was thinking about how to spice up our Easter holiday because I always have so many ideas for Christmas but Easter comes a little short so I decided to decorate an Easter bar cart and you know what – it turned out even better than I imagined and I love it.

What to put onto your Easter bar cart

I always go with a few key pieces when I decorate a seasonal bar cart:

– Color theme // This is one of the most important things to think of after you decided on a season / holiday to decorate your bar cart with. My main colors are pink, yellow and green.

– Decor // I go with seasonal decor to make sure everyone knows what the theme is. Easter bunnies and ceramic eggs it is.

– Fresh flowers // Fresh flowers always look nice and while I would go with a poinsettia for Christmas I went with bright and colorful gerberas.

– Colorful add-ons // These are things I add to incorporate even more of the color of my theme. For this example it is the straws.

– Antiques or heirlooms // The adorable flower dishes are an heirloom from my great-aunt. I was so excited that it matched so well cause I definitely wanted to incorporate a family piece.

– Candy // An obvious one 😉

Subtle Easter decor for your home…

have you already decorated for Easter or are you still searching for some inspo? I have never been one to overly decorate for Easter. It is subtle but noticeable. You will recognize that Easter is rolling around but it´s no Christmas.

So let´s dive in a little deeper.

My subtle Easter Decor

There are (only) 3 places I decorate for Easter in our home. Our console table in the entry way and two spots in the living room (our dining table and the tray to the right of the TV).

I am mostly using the same decor. I love to decorate with ceramic Easter eggs, bunnies and real catkins. I hang Easter eggs made of glass or plastic on them and that´s mostly it, but that doesn´t its boring.

The ceramic Easter eggs I have decorated at the side of our TV are black and white with polka dots and stripes. The pattern makes a nice contrast with the golden and plain white eggs. Adding flowers makes for a nice decor as well.

Do your love decorating overall or only for certain holidays ?

Bedroom Refresh – How to get that hotel fresh feeling at home…

Don´t we all know the feeling of falling into a fresh made bed. I mostly know this from hotel beds which always have their very special and super fresh smell and I wanted to have this for my home to.

First of all I swapped out our bedding. I went with an all white ruffled bedding on pillows and blankets and I LOVE it. Love it. Looks so clean and super chic.

To set some color accents I added velvet ruffled pillows from H&M (I have linked them in the widget below), gray velvet pillows (they are also from H&M but could not find them to link) and the bigger turquoise pillows that match the duvet (set is from Ikea, still available but in another color).

All of the colors complement the hues that are already present in the bedroom. The light gray and mint shades create a super calming atmosphere.

Now for smells – I love anything Rituals related and one of my two favorite lines is the Sakura line. It smells divine like cherry blossoms and rice milk. So this is my tip to get your favorite body cream onto your sheets without staining – body mist. Simple is the answer. I got this body mist a while ago and immediately thought of it.

Using a body mist for you bedding is the perfect solution if you are sensitive to softeners and anything detergent related. I smells great but doesn´t stay on too long plus it is not overpowering or irritating.

I definitely look forward on making my bed in the morning now cause I love the look of our new bedding and the decor pillows.
